What happened in Turkish football today? 13/11/2019
Turkey would be aiming for win against Iceland despite 1 point is being enough.
Turkish National Team would be aiming to clinch its ticket to the Euro 2020 qualifiers in penultimate game against Iceland where 1 point would be enough to get ticket to the tournament but it would be aiming for 6 points since it would be ending at 1st spot above France in that case.
It needs to be reminded that historically Iceland has been pretty problematic side for Turkey and in recent years it does have trouble beating them apart of Euro 2016 qualifier game where Selcuk Inan goal has brought them direct entrance to the tournament. But it needs to be reminded that Iceland in that game arleady came out with ticket to Euro 2016. Stating that, Turkey in all fairness is providing much better performance from that time and have high and well-deserved motivation and confidence prior to game. It would be important from beginning of the game to focus into winning game as when focussing into draw tends to provide team to lose game especially taking account that win would mean Iceland will come out to last games with small hope to get ticket to Euro 2020. Since as been mentioned above, Iceland is problematic side it does need to show precautious game but in same forward seeking. With confident game it should get wanted result against Iceland.
Therefore, Turkey would be looking forward for Iceland game and needs to aim for win and leadership at the group and show confident game.
Antalyaspor terminated contract with Bulent Korkmaz
Following some poor recent results by Antalyaspor, club administration has decided to end contract with its head coach Bulent Korkmaz in mutual agreement.
Even through Bulent Korkmaz did provide very good performance during last season especially taking account economical condition of the team and which was praised by team administration, due of poor results of the team during this season it has decided to end contract with him. It needs to be noted that even through club still has some issues, it does have pretty good which in all fairness could have provided better results but Korkmaz tends to be having issues at finding solutions so it was reasonable to provide change of blood in this team. It needs to be noted that upcoming head coach main role would be provide motivation to this team back as it did provide some poor performance and might be lacking motivation. This team does have capacity but lacks self-esteem looking at it from side.
Bulent Korkmaz as been mentioned did provide some good performance last season but didnt manage to carry on this season which led for him to be sacked.
Besiktas aim to sell Oguzhan Ozyakup during mid-season transfer window.
Besiktas are reported to be aiming to sell its player Oguzhan Ozyakup during mid-season transfer window due of poor performance during this season as he is showing drop of his performance.
Being one of the potential Turkish stars and in all fairness there were times when he did provide this kind of performance, being regularly substituted in recent times did lead him to drop with level of performance as being one of the main players of the squad only 2 seasons ago, he started showing drop from his performance in recent years and hence has been seen as one of the player who team has been considered to be sold during upcoming mid-season transfer window. Meanwhile, it also been rumoured that Russian club Krasnodar are showing interest towards him which could be good news for Besiktas as side would be willing to provide good cash if Besiktas would try to make money, as long as of course it would keep in reasonable level of course.
As always our blog would follow this rumour as rumours about Ozyakup is likely to be circulated during mid-season transfer period.
