Galatasaray showed improvement against Club Brugge but its not enough.
Galatasaray has kept its chances for Europa League knockout stages pretty slim as it has drawn against Club Brugge with conceding at the last minute from pretty simple mistake and loss of concentration.
This game, as was actually expected following draw also, has been very important for both clubs and it needs to be noted that it has been played in such manner as both sides did show some fast-paced game looking for chances and aiming to control ball. Meanwhile, one of the few positive aspect from game was that Galatasaray did finally score their 1st goal in this year competition as Adem Buyuk has shown great control of the ball with great shot as he has scored first goal at such high level. It needs to be also noted that Galatasaray did show one of its best performances during this season but it still lacked level of performance which would been expected from them especialy failing to defend Club Brugge player Diatta who has scored at last minute. Galatasaray did show its good performance from this season in this game but it needs to be aware that in overall it didnt provide very good performance in whole competition.
Galatasaray would now be looking for last game against PSG in Paris which it needs to win and wait for loss of points from Club Brugge against Real Madrid, scenario which is pretty difficult for Galatasaray realistically.
Basaksehirspor needs to look at Roma in realistic manner.
Basaksehirspor would be coming out to last 2 games as leaders at its group at the Europa League even through its only 2 point behind Roma who it would be meeting during 5th week and 3 points with last placed Wolfsberger.
Even through Basaksehirspor without doubt is showing best performance among Turkish clubs at the Europa League and are leaders in pretty tough group, it needs to be mentioned that it cant relax at all especially during Roma game which would be seen as probably toughest game it would play in this group stage. With taking account difference with quality and remembering that Italian side needs to show some reaction to see knockout stages, it would be reasonable to see Basaksehirspor to look things more realistically and focus for draw result with strong defensive game and possibly look for goal chances with counter attacks. Basaksehirspor with being leaders did get some good momentum and confidence to itself, but it needs to remember who is its opponent and keep its chances in pretty realistic manner and focus.
Therefore, Basaksehirspor needs to be looking at this task in much realistic manner and show organised game to get points at the end of the day.
Besiktas still likes to end Europa League at high note.
Besiktas would be coming out for its last 2 games at the Europa League without any aims and would only keep its good performance which it is showing so far during this season with an aim to get good result and keep its latest performance in good level which could provide positive for domestic games.
Besiktas would be coming out to Slovan Bratislava with simple aim to end this group stage which has been very poor for them without doubt at the highest note and turn around its fate in this tournament. Slovan Bratislava which still has some chances to get to the knockout stages would provide much more forward seeking but in same time could feel much more pressure and with opponent not used to be in such atmosphere could provide some chances for Besiktas to get their 1st win in this tournament. Therefore, with motivation to provide good football and carry on its recent good performance could help for team to get its 1st win even if its meangless in competition.
Besiktas therefore would be aiming for now to end Europa League with good results and as team shows good results recent domestically and not being under pressure could provide this results.
