What happened in Turkish football today? 05/06/2018

Turkey has drawn against World Cup hosts at Moscow.

Turkish National Team has played its last international friendly game for this period against World Cup 2018 hosts Russian National Team in Moscow which it has drawn game with 1:1 scoreline with great goal from Yunus Malli during 2nd half game.

It needs to be stated that both sides didnt provide high level performance for most amount of the game and as been stated beforehand both teams are in same strength and have similar issues. Despite of all that, Turkey could be satisfied with such scoreline as it came out in less ideal squad compare to their opponents taking account that it has come out with any attacking players and also has lacked number of key players while Russia has played with ideal squad for World Cup 2018. Still it has raised tempo in pretty impressive manner during 2nd half of the game showing great attacking game with Yunus Malli affecting game among scoring great goal, which is meanwhile also 1st ever goal scored against Russia from Turkey after USSR broke. In other hand, Turkish defence has been once again during game as it has conceded a goal from very simple goal and have given present to Russian player Alexander Samedov which has used that golden opportunity. Turkish National Team would meet once again against Russia during Nations League on 7th September and it was good chance to become familiar of their opponents.

Russian National Team didnt provide also top level performance against Turkey and has mainly found chances from simple mistakes rather than creating chances themselves. It still provides not great view prior to World Cup as it would meet against Saudi Arabia at the tournament opener and later against Egypt and Uruguay.

Turkish National Team has ended game with 1:1 scoreline at the game which both teams has provided similar performance and does provide some worries, but taking account that Turkey wasnt with ideal squad, its not that worrying for them.

Kayserispor has transferred Sakib Aytac for 2 years.

Kayserispor has transferred Antalyaspor player Sakib Aytac for 2-years as the player has provided a good performance at his club during previous season and without doubt this would be among 1st purchase to make team stronger for Kayserispor.

With Kayserispor ending season at top 10 and at some moment even providing performance which has kept them some chances for league title, it is quite natural for a side for aiming better performance and higher spots during next season and to achieve that it has purchased Sakib Aytac for 2 years. Despite of pretty poor performance of Antalyaspor, Sakib Aytac has provided occassionally good performance and even through this transfer certainly would not be biggest one for his new team during this transfer window, there is good chance that he can provide top level performance at the team which would very likely aim for Europa League spot during next season. Stating that, Kayserispor does need more transfers to become even better side especially if it wants to improve past season performance which it needs to be stated still did overpass expectations which everyone had from team compare to their season before that.

Kayserispor has completed its 1st transfer during this summer with using its opportunity of Sakib Aytac to aim to negotiate and with an early deal made it does show that Kayserispor could be among teams which would aim for revision.

Damien Commelli would have talks with Ali Koc for role of sports director.

It is been known that Ali Koc among main aims is to provide better and attacking game for the football team and appointment of such personality such as Damien Commelli without doubt has been a move for this to achieve even closer. It is known that Ali Koc who has long-term strong connection with Commelli has been worked with clubs like Arsenal before-hand and with long-term and strong connection he has with people who are involved at football personalities  worldwide would help team to get deals with potential head coaches and also players. With Damien Commelli arriving to Istanbul would led for both him and Ali Koc to discuss about future of the team which aims to dominate football once again in Turkey and make mark at Europe.

Ali Koc has come as CEO with high aims and tasks and if he does appoint Damien Comoolli this could be among 1st big achievements of him after being elected.
