What happened in Turkish football today? 20/06/2018

Sivasspor has appointed Tamer Tuna as head coach for 1 year.

Sivasspor has announced its appointment of Tamer Tuna as club's head coach for 1 year with signature ceremony taking place today as it was clear that Tuna would be joining the team for few weeks now and would now aim to move team forward.

With Tamer Tuna leaving Goztepe has been seen as big surprise during this summer period and it was quite natural from Sivasspor to make deal with him in pretty fast manner as he would be able to move forward during next season as club aims to carry on and even improve its last season performance. Sivasspor after last season does have potential to show great performance as it has strong support from fans and also players who can move team forward. Tamer Tuna during his reign at Goztepe did show that he capable to show great performance and without doubt would be aiming to carry on or even improve his statistical performance at Sivasspor during next season and the team does have very good chance to show top level performance with strong support from city.

Sivasspor would now also focus to found ways at moving team ahead with transfers during this summer as it aims to fight for Europa League spots next season.

Kasimpasa has transferred Ozgur Cek for 2 years.

Kasimpasa has transferred Rizespor ex-player Ozgur Cek for 2 years and even through the player has spend his previous season at lower league, he does have some good experience at the Super League and would be aiming to carry on showing top level performance at his new side.

With Rizespor ending career with Ozgur Cek, 2 days ago the player has managed to make deal with Kasimpasa straight away and would be aiming to show good performance as his was among players at his previous side which has helped team to get back to top league after 1 season absence. Kasimpasa meanwhile would be looking at local players with good experience at the league and also reasonable price, and Ozgur Cek is without doubt among them as he would be able to move team forward during next season. Kasimpasa who has been among active teams during this summer transfer window so far without doubt would be aiming to work on this area as it aims to become team fighting for Europa League during next season.

This is being without a good transfer for both sides and has arleady raised curiousity how team would perform next season.

Konyaspor has made deal with Riza Calimbay for 1+1 years.

Konyaspor has announced today it has made deal with coach Riza Calimbay to the role of head coach of the team for 1+1 year and actual signing would take place on 22nd June.

With ending contract on same day with Sergen Yalcin it was known that Konyaspor did appoint Yalcin to save previous season and it wasnt for long turn hence it was known that team was actively looking for new coach. In fact it was send an offer towards Aykut Kocaman after he was fired from Fenerbahce but he declined an offer. Still, Konyaspor has got not least experienced coach in his position which would be able to show much better performance compare to last season and with such coach team can aim for higher positions as long as whole team would be focussed into that. It is also reported that Riza Calimbay has requested in total of 4 transfers: 2 for defenders, midfielder and attacker as he would be aiming to move team forward next season.

Riza Calimbay has been very good appointment for Konyaspor and now team can more focus into transfer aspects of this summer period.
