What happened in Turkish football today? 15/06/2018

Celta Vigo has transferred Trabzonspor player Okay Yokuslu for 5 years.

Celta Vigo has announced transfer of Trabzonspor player Okay Yokuslu for 5 year contract which without doubt would mean that it would be huge movement ahead for a player as he would be able to show himself to Spain and around Europe among top leagues.

Celta Vigo has used an 6 million euro release clause to transfer him which has been criticised a lot by Trabzonspor CEO Mehmet Agaoglu towards previous administration team who has installed such low clause for such an important player. Stating that you cant really blame Okay Yokuslu as he has used this golden opportunity to show himself among toughest leagues and move ahead in his career. This blog has always stated that Turkish players needs to recieve lots of opportunities outside of Turkey especially towards players who has high potentiality and without doubt Okay Yokuslu are among those players and this move would certainly help him to develop into better players with also having chance to become Emre Mor partner as long as player doesnt leave team.

Okay Yokuslu hence has become another player to get playing time outside of Turkey and has all chances to provide high level performance.

Trabzonspor are interested to transfer Inter Milan player Davide Santoni.

With losing one of its key players, Trabzonspor are currently having intense transfer negotiations with Inter Milan player Davide Santoni as player willing to leave his club also.

This factor without doubt provides high hopes for Trabzonspor to make a good deal with one of the promising defenders from Italy as player has been selected to the national squad several times. Trabzonspor one of the weakest lines at the squad has been defensive player and hence it would be an important addition to the team who would be starting as team aims to show  top level during next season. The team which also has economical issues as most of the clubs in the Turkey, are focussing to loan him with an option to purchase or as alternative transfer him with reasonable price.  This transfer has chance to happen but it needs to be remembered that Davide Santoni would be accepted to recieve more transfer offers in upcoming days and hence it would not be an easy task for Black Sea.

However, as it has been stated several times Trabzonspor team needs a strength at defense and this transfer could bring just that.

Fenerbahce are interested to appoint Philipp Cocu as clubs head coach.

Fenerbahce are interested to appoint PSV head coach Philipp Cocu as club's sports director Damien Comolli continues search for new head coach outside Turkey.

As been stated beforehand, Comolli has stated in press conference that Aykut Kocaman would be first priority for team among Turkish head coaches, hence giving signs that team is looking for coaches outside of Turkey and with taking account of footballing career and also coaching of Philipp Cocu he does seem to be a great alternative and coach to move team forward which many people wanted. Also having good connection with different clubs around Europe, Comolli has good chance to make deal with Cocu as long as plans and aims would be clearly discussed to Cocu and also would come into mutual agreement about aims for next season and upcoming seasons. It does look like Aykut Kocaman being head coach of Fenerbahce are being numbered and it would become who would become new coach in upcoming days at the team.

Philipp Cocu has all opportunity to mark history at the team and would aim to continue his good coaching career after some good performance at PSV in recent years.
