What happened in Turkish football today? 27/06/2018

Phillip Cocu has signed 3-year contract with Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce has officially signed its new head coach Phillip Cocu for 3 years contract aiming hence to provide new start for the club focussing into much more attacking game even through it needs to be noted that Cocu is also known with giving to defence and midfielding football.

Fenerbahce has went into new beginning as the club with Ali Koc becoming club's new CEO and has brought some crucial changes to the team with one of them bringing Phillip Cocu as club's new head coach. With signing contract with a team, Cocu would be attending to 1st training session with his new club as Fenerbahce would start its pre-season training camp. Phillip Cocu is known to provide strong and strict training tactics which most of the Turkish players have not been used to and might have some difficulty at getting adapted to in beginning. As with all of the cases Cocu needs to recieve patience from supporters but with having more than month until start of the season and until 3rd qualifying round to Champions League would give him opportunity for sure to get used to players and vice versa. Cocu as coach is used to win titles back in Eredivisie and would aim to carry on this performance at his new club.

Fenerbahce would be aiming for having title in upcoming season and also good performance at Champions League and time would show if Cocu achieves that.

Trabzonspor aims to punish Jose Sosa, Esteban and Rodallega for not attending training session yesterday.

Trabzonspor are among clubs at the Super League which has started season early this year as it had 1st training session yesterday but it was mainly focussed of factor that Jose Sosa, Esteban and Hugo Rodallega didnt attend to training session.

Those players didnt attend to the training session without informing club's techical staff and administrators which means that club aims to provide fine for this action after going through study of this incident and making decision on how those players should be punished. With season preparation only starting it would be not good sign for undisciplined actions to be done in that early stage and hence club would need to find solutions. It also need to be mentioned that their are transfer rumour going out regarding those players which could be seen that players has set on their mind that their would not be in those clubs and possibly also currently having transfer negotiations. Still this action is unethical and would keep technical staff and administrators unhappy for such behaviour. It is expected that players would be punished accordingly in upcoming days.

As in previous season their are many clubs who have high aims for next season and hence its crucial for them to have good pre-season training camp to start season in good way and thats what all clubs aiming for.

Fenerbahce are interested to transfer Luciano Narsingh

One of the main transfer interests of Fenerbahce during this summer transfer window is Swansea City player Luciano Narsingh who has great history with Phillip Cocu during PSV Eindhoven and great understanding between each other.

With Phillip Cocu winning titles at PSV, Luciano Narsingh has played an important role for those to take place with high numbers of goals and assists. With taking this into account it would be quite natural to observe that both sides would be looking forward to work with each other once again as both are knowing each other pretty well. In season before similar understanding could be seen with Dick Advocaat and Jeremain Lens for instance and this understanding with player and coach has been crucial. In fact, with players getting used to Cocu style in beginning it would be even case that Narsingh would be playing an important role at this transition period at the club and help other team players to get used to this new system. It is known that transfer negotiations are taking place right now with Fenerbahce putting Narsingh as priority.

Time would show how transfer would be completed but it does look for now that Fenerbahce are close to make this transfer into reality in close time.
