What happened in Turkish football today? 08.09.2017

Fenerbahce would try to improve its performance as it would meet with tough opponent Basaksehirspor.

Turkish Super League would be resumed with an important game between Fenerbahce and Basaksehirspor during 4th week game which are seen among sides which would be fighting for league title.

Despite of being on early stages of this season, Fenerbahce would play its 2nd game against title contenders side, after it has drawn with 1:1 scoreline against Trabzonspor during 2nd week. It needs to be reminded that prior to the national team break, Fenerbahce has won its first game during this season against Genclerbirligi and has got an important win which certainly would help their motivation for upcoming games. Assuming that Fenerbahce head coach Aykut Kocaman has also done some homework with identifying poor areas of the team so far during this season, it is expected that we might see better Fenerbahce tomorrow. However, Basaksehirspor which has high aims for this season is expected to provide great game and also get an important motivation boost prior to start of the Europa League next week. With how teams perform so far Basaksehirspor are coming out as favourite, but its question how Fenerbahce would respond after national team break with its style of game.

It is too close to call who would win the game but Basaksehirspor is on early stage is 1 point ahead of their opponent and the win tomorrow would make them even more comfortable for upcoming weeks to fight for top places.

Besiktas are expected to raise tempo and have improvements of new comers against Karabukspor.

Besiktas, meanwhile, would resume its defence of the league title with game against Karabukspor during 4th week game where it would be expected to provide faster pace and wait for their new transfers to get more adapted to the team and show better performance compare to previous 3 games.

After 1st 3 weeks of the season so far Besiktas did start in good way but one of the areas are been of lacking same tempo which was shown by them during last few seasons when it won seasons back to back. But once again as this blog  stated before similar things have took place within team during last season. However, it is certain that Besiktas would aim to provide much better compact and togetherness performance at the game against Karabukspor. Meanwhile, Karabukspor start of the season has not been very bad and it would aim to provide good performance against Besiktas and might aim to control tempo of the game without raising it too high as it would suit them. Among interesting notes of the game is how Besiktas new transfers would respond after having national team break with most of them staying at facilities continuing their training sessions.

Besiktas are coming out as expected as strong favourites and its more curious how their would respond to the game tomorrow in sense of tempo and togetherness.

Fenerbahce has loaned Tottenham Hotspur player Vincent Janssen.

One of the big last-day transfers which has been completed during Turkish transfer window deadline has been loan  by Fenerbahce of Tottenham Hotspur player Vincent Janssen.

Vincent Janssen are among most potential players at the Dutch national team and is expected to show good performance for this season despite of having not very good season with Tottenham Hotspur. It is reported that following transfer has been done as strong alternative deal for Chelsea player Diego Costa, and even through Janssen could not be compared to Costa obviously this is good transfer for Fenerbahce. With his good high-speed performance and quality shots which he did show in previous seasons would mean that he would help for Fenerbahce to find much more goals in this season as long as he provides high level performance and should solve an issue of finding goals as it has quality attackers of Soldado and Janssen.

In overall, it does look like good transfer for Fenerbahce which should move lack of finding of goals by Fenerbahce into lesser as long as Soldado and Janssen shows great performance.
