What happened in Turkish football today? 12.09.2017

Besiktas win against Porto will not be considered as big surprise.

Besiktas is going to start its Champions League journey in this season against Portuguese champions Porto, the game which is expected to be one of the most tough games at this group stage with factor of playing its 1st game in tournament at away.

As it would be remembered, Besiktas has also started its last season Champions League with the game against another Portuguese club, Benfica which also promised to be a tough game but has ended with 1:1 scoreline draw. Therefore, even through on paper Porto are seen as favourites to win the game it needs to be stated that Besiktas can comfortably fight for at least draw at the game. One of the positive news is that Porto player Vincent Aboubakar would not be able to play, ironically from red card which he has got during Besiktas game at Europa League and taking account that player is most at form at the Porto it could affect negatively to them. Key of the game is for Besiktas to provide its best football and believe to itself as it did many times last season and even through it didnt start in performance wise very well this season this game it would need to perform at fast tempo, which it can find if it stays focussed.

Porto are close to win game but if Besiktas does win game it would not be a huge surprise to anyone including rest of the Europe.

Selcuk Inan deserves lots of respect due of his past accomplishments.

Even through in performance wise things seem to be going well for Galatasaray so far, there is an issue about future of the captain of the team Selcuk Inan which has recieved high number of criticism inside the team and also from supporters.

One thing is certain is that Selcuk Inan peak performance has been over and would not be returned due of him getting older by each day but the player issue needs to be sorted in the way with respect as he did many things for this club. It needs to be remembered that he is still captain of the team. Saying that, there is intense talks inside the team to end captaincy of Selcuk Inan and even selling him in mid-season transfer window as by many he does take extra space at the team. This negative reporting and treatment to him still doesnt need to be made and however he performs right now he needs to have respect treatment from administrative board and technical stuff which were not shown much unfortunately towards Sabri Sarioglu and Wesley Sneijder.

Stating that it is now clear that Selcuk Inan will not be staying much at the team and is very likely to be at new club after new year, but there is very long time until that.

Trabzonspor player Abdulkadir Onur promises to be future star of Turkish football.

From discussing about one of the best players of recent past in Turkish football Selcuk Inan, lets also look at the future stars, namely Trabzonspor player Abdulkadir Onur who has got lots of praise with his performance during Super League 4th week game against Genclerbirligi.

Even through he has been noticed right now by mass media, Trabzonspor youth technical staff and administration has got huge investment towards Abdulkadir Onur for number of years and has worked a lot with him. It was known during start of summer that Ersun Yanal plans to use Abdulkadir Onur for lots of games during this season. Among Abdulkadir Onur and Yusuf Yazici it is known that there are many players present at the club youth academy which has bright future. However, its need to be remembered that Abdulkadir Onur is still 18 years old and needs to work on his future with technical staff  helping him to develop in right way and set mind.

If this would be managed Turkish football would be gaining future football star and one of the best youngsters of this Super League season.
