Cenk Tosun has brought back hope to Turkey with his goal against Croatia.
Turkish National Team has got an important win against Croatian National Team with 1:0 scoreline thanks to a goal by Cenk Tosun and has got its chances to get to the World Cup 2018 finals in Russia once again even through the task is not easy one.
With Iceland winning Ukraine also with 2:0 scoreline, the standings at the group has become same as Turkey and Ukraine are in same points with 2 points behind Iceland and Croatia. It does need to say that Turkey has improved a lot compare to Ukraine as it stayed more into game and has controlled ball much more with help of supporters. It does need to state also that fact that Croatia has one day less to prepare for the game has played an important role. Despite of that, Turkey has provided much more better game and has controlled ball in effective way and aimed to create chances with one of them ending with goal following Burak Yilmaz shot with Cenk Tosun. Meanwhile, this is also 1st win against Croatia during 90 minutes and hence has marked an important history and good motivation for last 2 games which it needs to win.
Croatia tiredness from Kosovo game which it has play 2 days before and has very short time to get prepared has affected them for the game but still has provided reasonably good performance creating chances. It still leader at the group and Turkey would wait loss of points from them.
Turkey would now play its last 2 games against Finland and Iceland where it would need to win this games and hope at getting top 2 spots and get direct ticket or play-off round to get to Russia next summer.
Trabzonspor has terminated contract with Aykut Demir.
Trabzonspor has terminated contract with its player Aykut Demir due of his unprofessional behaviour he has shown during latest period and not providing his best during training sessions. Those behaviour didnt leave any option for Trabzonspor apart of coming to this measures.
Earlier today there was news at the media that Trabzonspor player Aykut Demir has refused to be meeting with club CEO Muharrem Usta to solve the issue which club has with the player. It was known that Trabzonspor didnt see him at this season plans and was considering to terminate contract or sell him. In return Demir, has stated that he would not leave team but didnt show behaviour which would lead administration and head coach Ersun Yanal at changing view about himself. It quite naturally for every club and especially one who has big aims during the season to get rid of such players who show such a behaviour. Therefore, Trabzonspor quite rightly has terminated contract with Aykut Demir as he was turning to be very problematic for a side.
With such unprofessional behaviour shown by Aykut Demir lately it could be difficult for him also find new club at upcoming future even through some below average might show some interest with him.
TFF reconsiders foreign players limit after Mircea Lucescu complaints.
The talks about foreign players limit at the Super League has been opened again due of poor performance of Turkish National Team and on going complaints by main team head coach at country, Mircea Lucescu of having problems at making national team squad.
The talks about relationship with national team and foreign players limit has been discussed a lot with how it would affect to its performance. In one side of argument, foreign players push domestic players with quality and raises quality of league in other local players has trouble to recieve playing time and hence develop as players. Trabzonspor player Burak Yilmaz has stated at press conference prior to Croatia game that he is again foreign players unlimited limit as this has led to some players to end career at early age of 31. It became known that TFF which was strong defender of this limit only recently would consider to go over revision of this limit and might announce new one at short period of time even through in documents it states it cant be changed until 2019.
This talks of limit takes place in every country especially when national team performs badly. But more importantly issue is how academy at clubs work so youth players could develop into future stars of Turkish football.
