Trabzonspor showed an improvement despite of not winning game.
Super League 5th week game between Basaksehirspor and Trabzonspor has been ended with 2:2 scoreline at the game where both teams were coming out to win game and continue its top performance at the early stages of the league.
With both teams aiming for league title for this season or at least end league at top places, it was expected that both teams would be providing their best football and aiming for a win at this crucial game but it needs to be stated that Trabzonspor has provided better game. Trabzonspor during the game has shown an organised football with Burak Yilmaz once again becoming main star of the game while Abdulkadir Omur who has extended his contract in midweek until 2022 has also shown top level performance creating chances and showing good controllable skills. Trabzonspor are improving by each week as league develops but their did make some mistakes especially in defence which does show it needs some improvement but the team is going into right track and start showing signs to having high aims as season progresses.
Meanwhile, Basaksehirspor has also shown top performance but their were signs of tiredness from Europa League game against Ludogorets as it wasnt able to keep tempo of the game from their side during today's game.
Trabzonspor even through didnt win game did get an important development in today's game and if it carries on showing this improvement it would be able to be inside league title race this season.
Fenerbahce just got a win which it desperately needed.
Fenerbahce has got its most comfortable win so far during this season as it won away game against Alanyaspor with 4:1 scoreline during Super League 5th week and getting huge motivational boost for upcoming derby game against Besiktas.
It was visible from start of the game that Fenerbahce has decided to play much more effective and careful game at defence as soon as the game started as Fenerbahce head coach Aykut Kocaman tried to reduce mistakes which were done lots of times during this season. Even through Fenerbahce still had trouble at playing with fast tempo which has been wanted by a team supporters, it was able to provide much more organised football. Only issue that it has still conceded a goal which shows defence is not at their best. Playing an away game at the humid conditions, in similar manner which was played by Galatasaray last week, and still fidning 4 goals would be considered as good result. Another positive aspect of the game has been goals coming from newly signed players Vincent Janssen, Giuliano and 2 from Mathieu Valbuena. Surely Aykut Kocaman would be pleased with such performance.
Alanyaspor did try to provide counter-attacking football today but it wasnt able to raise tempo as Fenerbahce compare to previous games has been more compact and careful at the defensive area. With Alanyaspor not being able to pass Fenerbahce defence and not being at best performance has led them to lose 4:1.
Fenerbahce needed a comfortable win with starting season in poorly manner and it did that just before Besiktas derby game so this timing in their view could not be any better as team would get into motivation for game regardless how Besiktas plays tomorrow.
Galatasaray goes confidently at league with help of Bafetembi Gomis.
Galatasaray player Bafetembi Gomis carries on taking lion share at the team with scoring 2 goals against Kasimpasa and hence bringing an important victory to a team during Super League 5th week game.
It needs to be stated that Galatasaray has managed to control game for most of the part without allowing Kasimpasa to create many chances which really showed strong defensive football from Istanbul giants. One of the problems which could be problem for Galatasaray is mainly finding goals from Bafetembi Gomis who have scored during all games and has scored 7 goals out of 13 in total. This factor shows that other players are not showing that level of football and if Gomis will not be on his days or injured than their will not be much alternative to him. Still Galatasaray shows great football especially at home ground so far at this season and is showing itself as strong league title contender as it has manages to win tougher opponents among not so tough.
Galatasaray expects to carry on such a high level performance at least until national team break in October and would come out as strong favourite against Bursaspor next week for sure.
