What happened in Turkish football today? 06.09.2017
With how games ended yesterday Turkey has chance to get World Cup once again.
Turkish National Team has shown a very good performance against Croatian National Team during World Cup Qualifier 8th week game and more importantly has shown great improvement following very dissapointing loss against Ukraine.
With mixture of results taking place during this week with top 4 teams at Group I which are aiming for World Cup in Russia winning one game and losing other one has led for race for top 2 position in exactly same place which it was prior to this games. One of the important aspects of the game that Turkish National Team head coach Mircea Lucescu has corrected all of his mistakes which he had done with Ukraine and has provided much better squad and also led players to have an important concentration raise. It has shown much better performance during game even through it was lucky as Burak Yilmaz hand ball was penalty and red card. There is some talks that same happened to Turkey in game against Ukraine but it needs to be stated that this position was a penalty. Still as mentioned Turkey has won game fairly and did show good performance.
Turkey would now play its last games in October against Iceland and Finland two games it needs to win to get into at least World Cup European play-off games and even that might not end not to be enough even through it would recieve great advantage even for top spot at the group.
Samuel Etoo might be unhappy that Samir Nasri recieves double of salary than himself.
The crises which has been risen at Antalyaspor regarding of future of Samuel Etoo at the club is rumoured to be coming to end due of contract of the Samir Nasri where Etoo has felt unfairly from administration due of salary differences.
According to the rumour, surrounding Turkish sports media Samuel Eto'o who has his last season with the team is having salary of 4 million euro while Samir Nasri contract is 6 million + 2 million bonuses which makes it double at most. This has led for Samuel Eto'o to be felt treated unequally and has demanded for higher salary for himself. Meanwhile, Antalyaspor CEO Ali Safak Ozturk did state yesterday at his statement that their dont plan to sell Eto'o and giving signs that he would stay at the club at least until mid-season break. Stating that it is known that Eto'o is happy at the team and even through it is certain that he might have some unhappiness while being at the team it is unclear if actually case is being Samir Nasri contract with a club.
In either case, it is known that both parties are happy with each other and there is good chance that both administration and player would find solution for this issue which is taking place between sides and time would show how this story would develop.
Trabzonspor has made transfer deal with Milan for Jose Sosa but now needs to convince player.
It became clear today that Milan has made transfer deal with Trabzonspor regarding of selling its player Jose Sosa to them but it is time for player to make a deal with Black Sea side.
Jose Sosa name has been coming out a lot since he left Milan from Besiktas 2 years ago with him returning to his ex-team, Fenerbahce or Trabzonspor issue has been discussed actively at Turkish media since then. Trabzonspor it was known did have long and ongoing negotiations with him and club and right now talks are that deal is made with a club. The talks about him leaving team due of political and security conditions in Turkey has been declined by Fenerbahce while stated as reason by his ex-team. In either case, Trabzonspor does have difficult task to make transfer deal with him which does not look to be done officially at least until mid-season transfer window in winter.
Stating that Trabzonspor are half-way as it has made transfer deal with Milan but it does look like it is more tougher to make deal with Jose Sosa right now.
