What happened in Turkish football today? 16.02.2017

Fenerbahce were not focussed to Krasnodar game at all.

Fenerbahce has shown very dissapointing performances at the Europa League 2nd round 1st leg game against Krasnodar at Russia with losing 1:0 scoreline. Apart of losing game, Fenerbahce didnt provide good game without controlling game at any moment at the night.

Fenerbahce during the game didnt able to create any dangerous chances and were not able show any good chances and Krasnodar as the team provided a good game with providing focus into attacks as a team. Fenerbahce meanwhile has shown to viewers and also to the Krasnodar that it wasnt at great form from 1st minutes of the game as it has conceded a very simple goal by Claessen as the team has created this chance and freedom to provide header without getting too much pressure from Fenerbahce defence. This was among one of the worst performance by the Fenerbahce at the Europa League this season and among worst at the whole season. One of the players which have shown pretty performance was observed by the Emmanuel Emenike which was not really visible at the field and it would been expected that Robin van Persie was lucky to be more useful at the game if he was played. Fenerbahce needs to see itself lucky by only losing game with 1:0 scoreline and it still has chance to get to the last 16 at the 2nd leg game next week.

Krasnodar apart of not being able to play for around 2 months with only competing at mid-season friendly game has shown good and organised football with seeking to win game and did look to find more than 1 goal but has lacked to find final touches. Its still provided much better controlled game compare to Fenerbahce.

As been stated, Fenerbahce has shown poor performance today and has never looked to at least find draw today with players not being focussed to game. It needs to improve this performance at 2nd leg if it wants to get to the last 16.

Besiktas has shown highly concentrated football in Israel.

Besiktas has managed to get an important win against Hapoel Beer-Sheva in Israel with 3:1 scoreline at the game which among today's Turkish clubs has managed to provide most organised game and is currently closest to get to the last 16 stage among Turkish clubs.

Getting 3:1 scoreline at the away game is undoubtedly is good advantage for a Besiktas against the team which is weaker than them but still would be potential to get to the next stage. Apart of conceding goal at the end of 1st half, next minute after scoring a goal, it has managed to dominate game which top football which was led by Cenk Tosun who has created 1st goal and also scoring 2nd goal. Besiktas has managed to show controlled game but same time forward seeking with creating a great game and hence has shown its best performance from recent period and has certainly shown that it does take Europa League in serious manner and are aiming to get to the last 16 stage of the tournament and possibly even further. It needs to be stated that Hapoel Beer-Sheva did create some number of chances during the game but Besiktas concentration has led for winning the game.
Hapoel Beer-Sheva needs to be stated has come to the field to play positive football and has provided some worrying time for its opponents and tried their best but it needs to be stated that their performance has been impressive. Their would likely to give tough time to Besiktas at 2nd leg also.

Besiktas has shown great concentrated game at the night which allowed them to get 3:1 scoreline and being close to the last 16 stage but it needs to stay focus for 2nd leg.

Osmanlispor has managed to fight head-to-head against Olympiakos.

Osmanlispor carries on having an historical competition at the Europa League this season as it has managed to draw in Greece at one of the most toughest away games at the competition with 0:0 scoreline against Olympiakos.

Osmanlispor has provided a very good game able to stay focussed both in defence and attack as it has created high number of dangerous chances during the game and showing that it is not scared of experienced Greek opponents with providing brave football. It has created lots of the chances and if only it has provided better last touches and with some attacks has been affected by inexperience it still provided a very good attacking seeking football during 1st half. However, it needs to be stated that their opponents has created good chances themselves and this is time where one of the most experienced goalkeepers of the Super League Karcemarskas has shown a great saves which allowed for Ankara side to stay at the team. Even through this was 1st play-off round game for Osmanlispor at the competition, it has competed like it was used at this circumstances for long time now.
Olympiakos meanwhile has also shown good football providing their usual football which it shows at European competitions. Olympiakos gave it best and has been met with Osmanlispor which showed their not weaker than them.

Following game, has left some possitive images for 2nd leg game next week in Ankara and would come in fact as slightly favourite as their had shown great performance at home at this year competition. But Olympiakos still has experience factor and is used to compete at tough away games.
