Besiktas has lost unexpectedly to Karabukspor
Besiktas has experienced an unexpected loss of 3 points to the Karabukspor as it was hoping to recover from Fenerbahce loss with a win at today's crucial game for title race.
It needs to be stated that Besiktas wasnt able to play its best football which was present at the recent weeks and with such performance Karabukspor has managed to keep game in same level as did Besiktas. Besiktas did actually done right things creating good chances and keeping ball in good manner with one point having possession of 62% but issue was to play at the fast tempo and taking account that Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes wasnt present at the stands and wasnt hence able to motivate and provide an important changes to the game which has let for such a poor performance by the team. It became visibly from this performance that Besiktas is very likely to be affected from Fenerbahce mentally from game as was seen today. One of the positive aspects of the game was goal scored by Vincent Aboubakar after returning from African Nation Cup and hence carrying his good performance shown at the Gabon.
Karabukspor has done great homework prior to the game and has provided some organising game today against Besiktas and has managed to stop them and show also an attacking football creating very good chances during the game. Karabukspor meanwhile carries on showing great performances against big clubs.
Besiktas also got a damage for the league title race as the possible win of Basaksehirspor against Kasimpasa could put them to leadership. Also following result shows that team is still affected negatively from the game against Fenerbahce and it needs to come to themselves for Europa League 2nd round game against Hapoel Beer-Sheva.
Fenerbahce will get into confidence mood at Super League game against Bursaspor.
Following an important win against Besiktas during Turkish Cup scandalous last 16 game Fenerbahce would be coming back to the Super League at high confidence as it would meet against Bursaspor and aim to carry on its title race in such crucial game.
Prior to game and due of losing unexpected points at previous games, Fenerbahce is currently 9 points against leaders Besiktas and 7 points against Basaksehirspor and hence it needs to win following game if it wants to get to the last 14 games of the season with the good chance of getting title. Despite of nervous game and Robin van Persie 3-game ban from PFDK, the team is been observed to get into the good mood prior to the Bursaspor and would provide a big focus. Bursaspor meanwhile are at the bad form but this would be game with its new head coach Mustafa Topcu which is always a dangerous factor as it would always provide extra motivation among also playing against one of the leading teams at the league. One of the main advantages is that Moussa Sow would also provide a key role at the game and would be first game at the league after African Nations Cup.
Fenerbahce would be coming out as a favourite but once again it didnt provide great performance this season earlier and hence Bursaspor would try their best to get a win and possible regain confidence which it has lost in previous games.
Trabzonspor will aim to carry on its winning performance in Ankara.
Trabzonspor would certainly aim to carry their top performance which their showing at the league for 2017 and carry on their winning streak which their aim to raise to 5 games. But this will not be an easy task as it would be playing with one of the tough away fixtures Osmanlispor.
So far, Osmanlispor didnt provide a great performance of 2017 but many of the players who were competing at the African Nations Cup will be available tomorrow which hence could lead them to raise their performance and gain confidence and motivation prior to Europa League against Olympiakos on 16th February. Trabzonspor certainly has put their task to end the season at the high with getting as much wins as possible for rest of 14 games at the season and this task is quite possible to take place with how it performs in recent games. As usual, weather are expected to be cold in Ankara but in recent day Trabzon was also cold so the adaptation should not big issue for them.
Trabzonspor also had extra week to prepare of today as it wasnt at the Turkish Cup last 16 games.
Certainly, both teams would aim for a win which could affect to the performance of the both teams at the daytime fixture and to some extend hard to call favourite, even through Trabzonspor does have upper hand with their recent performance.
