Besiktas start playing like it did last season.
Besiktas carries on providing confident performance at the Super League this season as it has won against Konyaspor with an confident scoreline of 5:1 during 19th week game. Another important aspect of the game was for Cenk Tosun to make hat-trick and in total scoring now 15 goals for this season.
Besiktas has once again recieved an important 3 points against the opponents against who it was expected to have tough time as Konyaspor does play an compact and organised football for long time now. However, with two fast goals scored by Besiktas during first half an hour of the game has affected the game as Besiktas which was arleady in control of game got it even more as the game progressed. Konyaspor wasnt able to provide good response apart of last minutes at the 1st half which was due of active and collective organised game by the Besiktas. It needs to be stated that Besiktas has shown similar performance at the last week against Alanyaspor and right now is getting into level of performance as it did last season which brought them title.
Besiktas would now look forward for the Fenerbahce game on 5th February at the Turkish Cup last 16 game and would come out with full confidence towards the game as a favourite even through its close to call clear favourite at derbies as always.
Demba Ba returns to Besiktas after 2 years but this time he has injury.
Among celebrating a good performance against Konyaspor yesterday, Besiktas has also finalised loan deal with Shanghai Shenhua player Demba Ba until end of the season who has become legend of the Besiktas with his performance 2 seasons ago.
However, Demba Ba does come to make deal while being an injured player and would actually travel to USA on 1st February to carry on his recovery from serious injury for 3 weeks and expected to join training of the team on March and possibly start playing at games. However, it needs to be stated that current Besiktas squad is stronger at the front compare to 2 years ago and hence with players such as
Cenk Tosun who had scored 15 goals so far, and Vincent Aboubakar he would need to fight for starting 11 plus it is uncertain what would be his condition after recovery from injury and not being able to play for around 1 year its big question if he will be able to show same performance. It needs to be mentioned still that if Demba Ba would play in similar manner as he did few years ago he would help team to get league title this season also.
Besiktas doesnt necesarrily need Demba Ba but his addition to club would make even more closer for league title and successful performance at Europa League play-off rounds.
Basaksehirspor signs Emmanuel Adebayor for 1.5 years.
One of the most surprising transfer news from last-day of the mid-season transfer window was for Basaksehirspor signing ex-Crystal Palace star Emmanuel Adebayor to the team.
This transfer, especially due of Adebayor experience and still skills which are there regardless him being with 32-year old, could be good addition to the team fight for league title at the end of the race. Basaksehirspor as the team has never got league title itself but it does have players who had experienced this feeling and with star like Adebayor team can get into that mood by players. It was especially surprising news that since many clubs tried to transfer him for long time especially big 4 clubs but the club which succeeded to do so is no other than Basaksehirspor.
With experience which Adebayor has it would make team more likely to be more stronger and could help for them to be title race until last week and maybe even lifting title.
