Galatasaray got important win despite of absences.
Despite of lots absences at the game for Galatasaray against Konyaspor due of African Cup of Nations and Mauro Icardi injury under eye, Istanbul did win its opponents with 3:0 at the game where Abdulkerim Bardakci did find 2 goals.
It needs to be mentioned that even through side did win game with what looks to be confident scoreline, it needs to be mentioned that it did take 60 minutes for side to winning time and it did struggle until then with Konyaspor even getting some good chances and opportunities. Therefore, absences of players which been mentioned did provide some worrying moments at the team and Konyaspor only lacked some last touches to find at least goals. Despite of that, Galatasaray did once get a win at the game where it didnt show good game with Abdulkerim Bardakci taking leading role with half-volley great goal especially deserves lots of praises.
Galatasaray hence continues its point-to-point performance but it needs to be stated that performance against Konyaspor does provide some worrying signs for team.
Istanbulspor 1:5 Cengiz Under.
Fenerbahce enters to 2024 in similar manner as it ended 2023 as it continues showing dominant game with getting pretty easy win against last-spot Istanbulspor with 5:1 scoreline with 4 goals and 1 asisst coming from Cengiz Under.
It needs to be mentioned that Cengiz Under didnt provide performance which has been awaited from me until now, but during this game he has shown outstanding performance as during 51 minutes of the game he has found 4 goals and 1 assist to his old pal Edin Dzeko and could possibly even done more if he stayed at the game until final whistle. Fenerbahce did have some absences for the game, but this performance did show that it could provide an effective and attacking game with even those absences. Istanbulspor on their part apart of creating some good chances and in all fairness did aim to show positive game, didnt provide much resistance to Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce did win with outstanding performance of Cengiz Under and does leave some good optimistic feelings for upcoming games.
Besiktas will aim to impress Santos
Besiktas would be aiming to get a win against Rizespor in the Super League after Fernando Santos would be signing contract with his team and try to show positive performance.
Besiktas as it is remembered did look pretty passive during Kasimpasa as it does in most games during this game but Fernando Santos following performance of the team at the stands would try to provide some good performance. Saying that it is unclear if this could be enough to raise concetration and motivation of the team before Rizespor as it is being too low and Rizespor could use this opportunity to get good result.
Besiktas might be extra motivated for this game but it might not be enough to show effective game still.
