Galatasaray has got confidential boost for Trabzonspor after Fenerbahce losing points.
After Fenerbahce has lost 2 points to Samsunspor, it was expected that to have some extra motivational and positively impact towards Galatasaray and it needs to be mentioned that 5:1 scoreline and also performance on field does show that it did have its impact.
It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray did get a win against Trabzonspor in much more easier way than was expected by one as team did score first time 5 goals at Trabzon in league history. Even through Galatasaray did find an early goal with Wilfried Zaha, Galatasaray has specifically dominated during 2nd half with finding 4 goals and has send an important message to its supporters and also Fenerbahce during league title. It needs to be stated that star of the game has been without doubt Wilfried Zaha with finding 2 goals and has been very willing and has shown one of the dominant game, as it is has been one of the best games of the season. It could be stated for sure Zaha didnt provide any absence of Mauro Icardi who was waiting for his chances and did come out on field only for last 10 minutes. Hence, Galatasaray did shown right performance and right moment against Trabzonspor.
In all fairness, Trabzonspor didnt come out as favourites by many people prior to game but it should be stated that so much passive game from Trabzonspor hasnt been expected from anyone. Team didnt look into highly motivated and confident at the field especially during 2nd half despite of finding a goal with Ersin Destan. Such a performance hasnt been expected from team which does set its target for rest of the season to get into 3rd spot but it has lost confidence with every conceded goal. Trabzonspor has been in crises despite sitting stable at 3rd spot and needs to improve its games for rest of the season.
Galatasaray hence did come out with high motivation and confidence after Fenerbahce did lose 2 points and this win would provide an important motivational boost for rest of the season with getting extra boost for league title.
Fenerbahce losses its points in 2024 against organised Samsunspor
Fenerbahce has lost its 1st points during calendar year of 2024 against Samsunspor at home ground as it did provided lots of pressure towards end of the game but didnt find that winning goal during this moment.
It needs to be mentioned that game has been started in good manner as it found an early goal at 12th minute with Irfan Can Kahveci which did raise confidence and motivation as it was expected such an early goal could lead for side to get another game with scoring goals at home ground from leaders. It needs to be mentioned that following goal, Fenerbahce did continue to show good performance with control of the game but couldnt find 2nd goal due of good defensive game from Samsunspor which did show some organised defensive game as they do in recent weeks. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce did have decline of performance in start of 2nd half and in fact conceded goal did come during this time from free-kick which Livakovic tried to save but was bit too late as ball did save when ball did enter to goal. Fenerbahce following that goal and especially in the last 10 minutes did provide lots of good chances but due of compact Samsunspor defence, not great last touches shot and to some extend possibly this 2 points has been lost due of trusting too much after 1:0.
Samsunspor has been showing some good performance during recent weeks and it has shown such reaction to this game as it has been looked confident at the field especially after 1:1 as Markus Gisdol did bring organisation to team and does provide good view for upcoming games.
Fenerbahce did start game as wanted but did lose some dominance as game has been developed which could be coming from tiredness after lots of games during 2024.
Pendikspor has provided reality check to Besiktas
Besiktas head coach Fernando Santos after winning 3 games back-to-back and scoring in total of 11 goals without conceding has recieved reality check after getting unexpected loss to Pendikspor with 4:0 scoreline who is being close to relegation zone.
It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas did have an issues from start of the game as it didnt manage to get control of the ball and has also conceded goal on 4th minute from Umut Nayir. Even through to some extend Besiktas did have good response with getting some chances it still didnt find goal. Besiktas rather than raising its performance level did go into decline during 2nd half which without doubt did go into hand for Pendikspor who provided much more confident attacks and found 3 more goals and getting historical win. This result without doubt would let Santos to recognise serious issues which team has more clearly.
Hence, honeymoon for Fernando Santos has been over and now he would need to find ways how to solve issues of poor game at the team.
