Galatasaray continues its winning run this time beating Konyaspor.
Galatasaray has started its 2024 and restarted its race for top spot at the league with 3:0 win against Konyaspor with all 3 goals coming during last 30 games with Abdulkerim Bardakci scoring 2 of the goals.
With absence of Mauro Icardi due of an injury and also some players leaving to African Cup of Nations there were some questions how would Galatasaray perform during this game and there were signs of issues during first 60 minutes even through there were sides which did show strong and dominant game on the field. Despite of that, it should be noted that it is being side which did show strong and attacking game at the field and has been one which did create some chances but did lack getting last touches. Galatasaray hence continues its winning run at the league and hence carries on its leadership race with Fenerbahce at same points as it seems to be race between 2 clubs until end of the season.
Fenerbahce has got confident win against Istanbulspor with Cengiz Under taking leading role.
Fenerbahce has got relatively easy game against Istanbulspor as been expected with 5:1 scoreline with Cengiz Under becoming star player of the game with scoring great 4 goals and providing 1 assist and hence starting 2024 at high note and dominance.
It needs to be mentioned that taking account into factor that Fenerbahce is being at the top of the league and Istanbulspor being in the bottom with 39 points difference between sides it was expected for Fenerbahce to show strong and dominant game and it has done just done that as it got ahead with 4:1 scoreline at the 46th minute. Cengiz Under meanwhile has provided his best performance since joining team with taking account that he didnt recieve much of playing time with scoring 4 goals and also providing assist to Edin Dzeko at 3rd goal. In overall, Fenerbahce did look strong and confident at the field with team showing togetherness and only did reduce tempo between its 1st goal and conceding goal which was due of lack of concentration very likely.
Istanbulspor due of its poor form and lack of quality players did come out as underdogs and it needs to be mentioned that with showing reaction after 1st goal and also generally it did still create chances so it did try to show confident positive game but this only it could done in its quality factor.
Cengiz Under had an effect on each goal and hence biggest winner among team has been even more important factor than Fenerbahce to win game as Under has regained strong confidence and motivation for sure in upcoming weeks.
Trabzonspor continues to win games with low tempo
Trabzonspor has managed to beat Ankaragucu at away game without supporters with single goal from Edin Visca, but it needs to be mentioned that team didnt provide very exciting game with both sides hardly creating chances.
