Galatasaray well fought win against Gaziantep with dominance during 2nd half.

Galatasaray got very important win against Gaziantep and looking for Istanbul giant players has performed during 2nd half has shown how team were aware of this performance and it has equalised once again points with Fenerbahce at the top. 

It would need to be mentioned that Galatasaray didnt start game at very good note as it did get behind and didnt provide too much pressure to Gaziantep goal but it needs to be mentioned that things did change dramatically during 2nd half as it has dominated whole half and especially during last 20 minutes. With getting into 5 posts during whole game, Galatasaray still didnt give up and with providing pressure into defence of Gaziantep it did find eventually 2 goals with Baris Alper Yilmaz scoring goal on last minute. Hence, Galatasaray has fought until end of the game and did get deserved win.

Galatasaray as been expected did come for win and their did everything to get it and with numerous chances did finally found winning goal with Alper Yilmaz.

Trabzonspor continues showing decline with its performance.

Trabzonspor continues showing dissapoint performance and also results as it lost 3rd game back-to-back this time to Kasimpasa.

Even through it did go ahead quite in early minutes of the game, it didnt provide positive game and as game did go on Kasimpasa did get confidence and did find well-fought 3 goals which led them to win with 3:1 scoreline. This result has also meant that Abdullah Avci performance is worser than Bjelica as decline of team is being going on by each game.

Trabzonspor therefore is on decline and team would need to find solutions urgently if it wants top 4 spots and get European spots next season.

Sivasspor loans Bertug Ertug from Fenerbahce.

Sivasspor has loaned Fenerbahce player Bertug Ertug until end of the season which has been right move for all parties as player would get time in his new club and experience.

It needs to be mentioned that when Bertug Ertug did get some playing time he did show some good performance but without doubt for him to be substituted for most amount of time would leave him not to develop. Galatasaray continues showing dominated game with beating Gaziantep at home.

Intense title race between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray continues with full excitement as Galatasaray has beaten Gaziantep with 2:1 scoreline as it dominated 2nd half and in total got 5 posts from its shots.

It needs to be stated that Galatasaray didnt necessarily start game as it has wished for as it didnt get full control of the game and did concede first from Kabadag on 29th minute as opponent did create some chances. However, very likely Okan Buruk did have heated and in same time motivated talks with his players during half-time as we saw different Galatasaray who did create high number of the chances and has dominated game with getting chances back-to-back and had 4 posts while 1st shot to post did come on 1st half. Galatasaray hence has shown strong willingness to win game as been noted several times at our blog that any loss of the points could cost a lot at the end of the season and side could be losing title. Trabzonspor continues losing games as Kasimpasa has beaten them this time

Trabzonspor continues showing ineffective performance in recent weeks as it did lose its 3rd game back-to-back to Kasimpasa with 3:2 scoreline as it couldnt provide much pressure to opponent.

Trabzonspor in similar manner as was in previous game has been side which did found an early goal, this time with Enis Destan at 19th minute and to some extend didnt show poor game on rest of the half. Fenerbahce beats Ankaragucu with strong organised game.

Intense title race is being continued with Fenerbahce beating Ankaragucu at home ground with 2:1 scoreline thanks to the goals from Cengiz Under as side has dominated game especially at defence.

Close scoreline of the game should not provide view that it has been close team as Fenerbahce has been in control of the game apart of possibly moment when it did conceded from penalty from Livakovski pretty harsh penalty position. To some extend, Fenerbahce didnt have still very good start of the game as Ankaragucu did prevent a bit of its opponent and did have some control of the game but after 2:1 when Cengiz Under has scored on 20th and 32nd minute, it did get full control of the game with showing compact defence and didnt let Ankaragucu to get closer into goal. Without doubt, main player has been Cengiz Under who did get get 1st shot with position which been mixed as cross and goal while he was providing good positioning in 2nd goal and in overall has shown good performance and did in fact look for hat-trick.

Besiktas continues showing ineffective attacking game as it lost to Sivasspor

Besiktas continues showing poor performance as it lost to Sivasspor with minumum scoreline of 1:0 as it is being one of the difficult away games in the league but as been noted club had a bad run for last 3 games.

With conceding an early goal from Sivasspor from Manaj at 6th minute, it was clear that Besiktas would be having some serious issues and with opponent getting confidence and more defensive game, has made things even more difficult. Besiktas it needs to be stated that didnt provide very attacking and creative game which has led for the team to end half without any shots on target and did look to be pretty passive. It did raise some tempo during 2nd half but still it wasnt enough to provide too much pressure at Sivasspor while opponent did continue to showing strong defensive game.

Galatasaray will be expected to have some tough period with Gaziantep

Title race between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce will be continued with former side meeting at home ground against Gaziantep as it would be expected for team to be once again played at full ground and Istanbul giant having tough game.

Fenerbahce will seek for early goal to make task for them easier.

Fenerbahce would be continue its title race with home game against Ankaragucu as it would be aiming to carry on its winning run at the season where neither them or Galatasaray could be losing any points. 

Without doubt Fenerbahce would be coming to game as favourites both of its aims, recent forms and quality of the squad but it would be needed to mention that this game would been expected to be going under stressful condition between both sides as Fenerbahce did on previous game. Main reason is there so much at the stake due of reasons which been mentioned however it would be needed to mention that Fenerbahce could be focussing into early goal to make their task easier and hence it would be expected to show an attacking game.  Ankaragucu would be expected in return to show defensive game and look for chances with counterattaks.

Fenerbahce hence would be coming out as favourite but later goal would be coming more tougher the task would be for them to get an easy win.

Besiktas will aim to end unlucky period against Sivasspor but it would be tough.

Fenerbahce has loaned Caglar Soyuncu from Atletico Madrid for 6 months as it has strengthed ints defensive line even more as it aims to win title at all tournaments it is right now.

Galatasaray has got an important win against Istanbulspor even through it ended up being pretty tough game for 90 minutes especially before Mauro Icardi has been entered to field on 2nd half.

It is reported that Bayern Munich did make transfer deal with Galatasaray player Sacha Boey for 4-years for 30 million euro+2 million euro transfer fee.

It has been known for some time that Bayern Munich are showing some strong interests with signing Sacha Boey and did raise at short period its 25 million+5 million euro to 30 million +2 million euro as it was known that Galatasaray did set transfer fee of its player as 30 million euro. Galatasaray carries on winning in intensive title race.

Galatasaray continues its title race head-to-head race with beating at home ground last placed Istanbulspor with 3:1 scoreline but the factor that opponent is being on last spot and scoreline doesnt provide how game has been played.

It needs to be mentioned that for most amount of the game, Galatasaray did look to be under pressure especially due of risk of losing points in such close race and also conceded goal from counter-attack has also affected game. Another factor which been visible in this game, even through it was known from previous game, is important of Mauro Icardi. Game hence has been played to some extend before and after Icardi as Galatasaray did provide much more confident and attacking game after 70th minute when Icardi did enter to field and has speed up tempo. This game and also Fenerbahce game on previous day did also show that road to league title could be going under lots of pressure as we are entering to final stages of the season and even draw could cost title.

Trabzonspor continues showing decline not only with performance but also with scoreline as it lost to Rizespor with 1:0 scoreline at Black Sea region and team continues lacking an organised game.

In positive note, it could be stated that when looking statistically and also position wise Trabzonspor did look to be closer for win but lacking of having players who can make that final touches to get win has affected game as Rizespor did find goal from counter-attack. Fenerbahce got well-fought win against Basaksehirspor

Fenerbahce has dominated game from start to an end against Basaksehirspor with creating numerous chances especially taking account that it has played with an extra men during most of 2nd half but did find a goal from Michy Batshuayi penalty goal on last minute.

It needs to be mentioned that it was interesting to see how Fenerbahce would be reacting following unexpected draw from Samsunspor on last week and it needs to be stated that apart of first minutes of the game, Fenerbahce has shown strong willingness with getting high number of the chances but couldnt overpass Basaksehirspor goalkeeper Volkan Bayaraslan and also concentrated defensive game. Despite of finding 11 goals during 1st games with Fernando Santos, it needs to be stated that team got into general performance which it did show during this season with being ineffective at attack and this taking account that it did play with 10 men almost whole 2nd half. When looking into highlights it could be looked like Besiktas did domiante game during 1st half with good chances but possession has been with Adana Demirspor which does provide some worrying image. Besiktas failed to find goal against Adana Demirspor despite of dominanting game

Besiktas and Adana Demirspor Super League game has been ended with goalless draw, despite of fact that Istanbul giant had created much more chances and couldnt find a goal during 2nd half even through it did play all half with an extra men.

There were lots of question how would Besiktas respond following very suprising loss to Pendikspor with 4:0 scoreline and it should be stated that team did show some improvement in all fairness when it came to defence but same couldnt state for an attack as it failed to provide last touch despite of high number of the chances. Galatasaray got an easy win against Trabzonspor

Galatasaray got an easy win against Trabzonspor with 5:1 scoreline and with such win has send an important message to Fenerbahce at title race as it equalised points with them and got confidence boost.

When looking into form and quality factors between 2 sides it needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray did come out as clear favourites but it wasnt to be such an easy win as it did dominate especially whole 2nd half. There was still some uncertainty if Galatasaray would have won game mainly due of decline of performance of the team rather than performance but it was clear that Galatasaray did prepare to game in serious manner among having also psychological factor. Wifried Zaha has shown his best performance since joining team with scoring 2 goals and also providing one asisst and in general did look confident and concentrated to the game from start to an end and did make clear that he is good alternative to Mauro Icardi.

Galatasaray hence did get win against Trabzonspor in much easier and confident manner than was expected would now look at upcoming weeks with higher motivation and confidence.

Galatasaray has got confidential boost for Trabzonspor after Fenerbahce losing points.

After Fenerbahce has lost 2 points to Samsunspor, it was expected that to have some extra motivational and positively impact towards Galatasaray and it needs to be mentioned that 5:1 scoreline and also performance on field does show that it did have its impact. 

It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray did get a win against Trabzonspor in much more easier way than was expected by one as team did score first time 5 goals at Trabzon in league history. Even through Galatasaray did find an early goal with Wilfried Zaha, Galatasaray has specifically dominated during 2nd half with finding 4 goals and has send an important message to its supporters and also Fenerbahce during league title. It needs to be stated that star of the game has been without doubt Wilfried Zaha with finding 2 goals and has been very willing and has shown one of the dominant game, as it is has been one of the best games of the season. Fenerbahce losses its points in 2024 against organised Samsunspor

Fenerbahce has lost its 1st points during calendar year of 2024 against Samsunspor at home ground as it did provided lots of pressure towards end of the game but didnt find that winning goal during this moment.

Galatasaray got to last 16 after showing confident game against Umraniyespor

Galatasaray has qualified to Turkish Cup last 16 after beating Umraniyespor with 4:1 scoreline as it got behind from 1:0 as Baris Alper Yilmaz did score an own goal at the early minutes of the game.

In fact, an own goal which has been scored from Yilmaz on 10th minute which did come out from simple mistake has been to some extend a waking up call for the team as it provided much more attacking and effective game as Yilmaz himself did find an equaliser and hence has solved his mistake. It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray did come out heavily from players which didnt get much of playing time during this season or players which needed some confidence boost and also opportunity to prove themselves even more to Okan Buruk. Trabzonspor has qualified to last 16 of the Turkish Cup after beating Manisa FK at home ground with 3:1 scoreline as it provided game with its own control despite of one point game to be played at 1:1 scoreline.

With Trabzonspor currently focussing into 3rd spot at the Super League, it is also known that team is treating Turkish Cup in all seriousness due of being fast track to European competitions and hence did come out with ideal 11 squad and has started game in high tempo which led for Fountas to find an early goal at 7th minute. Fenerbahce got confident and dominating win against Adanaspor during Turkish Cup 5th round game against struggling 1st league side with 4 goals coming from Michy Batshuayi as without dobt he is sending strong message to head coach Ismail Kartal.

Even through Fenerbahce did come out to game heavily with players who didnt get much playing time during this season, due of quality factors between side, general dominating performance it has shown at the league and also factor that it is being Turkish Cup holders it was expected for Fenerbahce to show strong performance and they did just that. Besiktas has qualified to last 16 of the Turkish Cup after getting confident win against 1st league leaders Eyupspor with 4:0 scoreline as it has been side which did control game from start to an end.

Besiktas got confident win against Eyupspor at Turkish Cup

Besiktas got confident win against 1st league side Eyupspor with 4:0 scoreline as with losing title hopes at the league, Besiktas has send strong message that it would be taking Turkish Cup seriously in this season.

Even through this win could be seen as expected from Besiktas regardless of its situation, it still could be seen as an important win as Eyupspor are having 10 point leadership at the 1st league and did see this game as an opportunity to test themselves for Super League. It needs to be mentioned that starting from kick-off Besiktas did show that it is taking this game seriously and are aiming for win with high tempo and attacks which led for an early goal from Salih Ucan on 16th minute. Without doubt, an early goal did make task easier as it continued to provide pressure as Cenk Tosun has scored next 2 goals with one of them being from penalty. Hence, Besiktas so far with Fernando Santos does provide a view of the team which is being concentrated for getting a win and during last 3 games does get comfortable wins and this despite of absences at the team.

Eyupspor as been noted did see this game as preparation for Super League where it would be very likely be taking place in upcoming season but unfortanutely for them they didnt show a team which  is ready for top division but in other hand this game let them realise their absences.

Besiktas has scored 11 goals without conceding in last 3 games and even through title at league is being very far, it does show that it would be giving its all to win cup and end season at 3rd spot.

Galatasaray wins crucial game despite of poor performance.

Galatasaray keeps its title chance alive after beating Kayserispor at home ground but it needs to be mentioned that it did get win in difficult conditions and has been far from performance which we used to see from them since last season.

With Fenerbahce raising point difference to 5 points and also losing 2 points last week to Sivasspor, Galatasaray without doubt did look to be under stress among having some absences at field which did have negative impact to the side. Galatasaray which tends to be dominating games for most of the season, didnt provide such dominance and in fact during 1st half of 2nd half has led Kayserispor to have control of game as side did fail to provide strong attacking game and pass defence and Muslera. Galatasaray did find goal from simple penalty position from Hasan Ali Kaldirim as Mertens did convert penalty and brought winning result. Still, Galatasaray did provide poor performance and does provide worrying image for upcoming games. 

As, Galatasaray continues to show ineffective performance it also start throwing pressure to referees which could only raise tension and pressure inside team for upcoming weeks. 

Fenerbahce will start its defence of Turkish Cup against Adanaspor.

Fenerbahce would be aiming to carry on its strong season at the Turkish Cup as it would be starting its campaign at the tournament during 5th round where it would be meeting with 1st league side Adanaspor.

With Fenerbahce would be expected to give focus to Super League and Conference League during rest of the season, it would be expected for team to go rotation as it would be starting its campaign as competition holders. Galatasaray did get win but provides some warning signs with its performance.

Galatasaray has got crucial win against Kayserispor with 2:1 scoreline at home ground and has kept 2 point difference with league leaders Fenerbahce even through side did provide pretty poor performance on the field.

It has been observed during game against Kayserispor that team did look to be under pressure and generally at stressfully which could be due of some players being absent at the squad, Fenerbahce keep on winning and loss of 2 points on previous week. It did find 2 goals from set pieces with 1st goal coming from corner where Nelsson did score from lucky possession as to some it could be seen as own goal from Kayserispor while 2nd half it has found winning goal from penalty kick. Galatasaray hence did have some issues with controlling ball and in fact at the end of 1st half and start of 2nd half, it has been Kayserispor which had possession but it didnt managed to fulfill chances. Galatasaray hence did get an important win to keep its title chances pretty high but it does perform decline of game play due of its absences and this game doesnt provide much positivity on upcoming games. 

Kayserispor it needs to be stated did come in poor form with losing last 5 games and did have lots of absences but still team did show some positive attitude and in all fairness it could be mentioned that it has been side to lose 3 points.

Galatasaray did manage to get win but there is decline of performance which could be explained due of some absences and Okan Buruk would need to find solution on how to get maximum performance from available squad.

Fenerbahce got important win at difficult away game.

Fenerbahce has got very crucial and difficult game for its road at title race as it got minumum result from Gaziantep thanks to the header from Irfan Can Kahveci and hence ended 20th week with points advantage over Galatasaray.

It needs to be mentioned that even through with recent performance of Fenerbahce it was expected for them not to have much issues at Gaziantep, it needs to be stated that opponents does tend to provide an organising game especially at home ground. When looking statistically it needs to be stated that Fenerbahce still has been better side and did create some chances but compare to previous games it needed to show some patience which it did and eventually it did find a goal. Winning games which does provide lots of issues would without doubt also provide motivational boost to the team. Meanwhile, it also needs to be mentioned that Leonardo Bonucci performance despite of not getting much job defensively has been very good and did give signs that he would be helpful for team for rest of the season.

Advantage of winning game which it has trouble at would provide lots of morale and confidence for upcoming games and this expected to be case for Fenerbahce in its road for title race.

Antalyaspor has shown that tactical game of Avci is not working at every game.

Trabzonspor as it is known has been criticised for not providing very strong and effective performance during recent weeks despite of winning games and this criticism has been shown to be at place after it lost 2 points to Antalyaspor.

Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci has been focussing into getting results rather than showing effective game which also makes it clear why team has been winning with minumum scoreline of 1:0.
