What happened in Turkish football today? 06/04/2022

Altay has send request to repeat game against Antalyaspor.

Altay has announced that it has send request to TFF to repeat Super League 31st week game against Antalyaspor as game been played with AVAR referee which is not classified referee and couldnt take game.

Altay is having ligitimate request as referee which been working at Assistant VAR position is not being experienced and hence qualified to do his job which could be having some unwanted circumstances and direct impact into decision making during whole game and hence could affect into outcome. Meanwhile, such development should not be seen as big surprise as with reducing referees for last games from Central Referee Committee led for reduction of available referees in weekly basis and sadly we could see similar issues happening in upcoming weeks.

It would be interesting to see how TFF would act into such request but Altay does have clear point as it is clearly breaks rule of the game.

Shanghai Port has signed Goztepe player Chiaf Ndiaye

Shanghai Port has signed Goztepe player Chiade Ndiaye as been announced from Turkish club, as he is likely would be joining in upcoming days to Chinese club.

Even through Ndiaye did have pretty good season at Goztepe becoming one of the key players, due of contract and also Turkish club not showing much will to keep him has led Chinese club to have intensive talks in recent period of time and did make transfer deal eventually with club and providing much better conditions. In addition, taking account that Goztepe are close to be relegated at the end of the season has also led for Ndiaye to be leaving side right now.

To some extend this been 1st transfer deal of summer transfer window and also being crucial loss to Goztepe as it tries to stay at the league as we enter to 7 weeks of the season.

Antalyaspor has signed its academy player Emre Uzun for 3+2 years.

Antalyaspor has signed professional contract with academy player Emre Uzun who has been seen by side as potential star for 3+2 years and hence hoping to sell him for better value in upcoming years.

With some big clubs showing interests to the player, Antalyaspor did see Emre Uzun both as potential gain for the club both on the field and also with potential transfer as 3+2 years, not short contract, shows into trust towards player and awarence of his potentiality. Emre Uzun being at young age also has possibility to show some improvement at the side which can achieve that and does tend to aim at top halves of the Super League and does have coach Nuri Sahin which pays attention to potential players at his squad.

Time would show if Uzun would be able to fulfill his expectations at the club but he has all reasons to do so.
