What happened in Turkish football today? 11/04/2022

Fenerbahce has won with effective game against Galatasaray.

Fenerbahce has won its 1st derby of two continents against Galatasaray and has continued its winning streak rising to 2nd spot with 1 point ahead of Goztepe and continues showing impressive performance with Ismail Kartal.

It needs to be mentioned that with Ismail Kartal joining side following very poor on-going season, Fenerbahce has shown total turnaround with its performance with getting most amount of points since that period and also getting wins with impressive performance which improves each week. With possibility of title is getting into point where it would be clear within 2 weeks likely, Fenerbahce is getting into advantageous position in the league right now. Of course, with Fenerbahce looking more into reasons for getting victory compare to Galatasaray whose rest of the season is being formality games has affected to side performance and led them to get 2:0 win with dominating game despite of not showing its best performance.

Fenerbahce did show effective tactical game which led for this win and would now look with confidence to upcoming games against Goztepe.

Torrent future at the club is being questionable.

Galatasaray meanwhile did come out to the game with only aim to safe its season in eyes of the supporters and also Domenec Torrent to show his level to upcoming administrative team but he showed in not very successful performance.

Galatasaray did look passive during game without providing too much pressure to Fenerbahce apart after 2:0 scoreline and didnt provide much issue with Fenerbahce. It does look like Domenec Torrent attempt to provide style of game which he seeks for is not being suitable to the team squad which led him struggling both personally, players and also whole club. Tend to be working on same tactical kind of game, which has been successful also, led for Galatasaray not getting good results as players and also nature of Super League are not suitable for this. Hence, sadly for Galatasaray this loss should not be seen as big surprise.

With Galatasaray now focussing into last 6 games as formalities with only ending season to get good spot, there are big questions about future of Torrent at the side.

Yeni Malatyaspor becomes 1st side to be relegated.

Yeni Malatyaspor has become officially 1st club to be relegated from Super League after losing to its direct opponent Giresunspor as this result has directly led them to be having any hopes which they had to fade.

Yeni Malatyaspor has been sadly for them been poorly administered with payments of the players, coaches and other factors which led for side to be showing low performance. Even through its being long season, being relegated with 6 weeks left at the season by itself shows how poor season did side have and there were hardly at the moment in the team which it did show some positive game during whole season. With CEO election coming soon, side would now be focussing into electing CEO which would be able to bring back side in top league after upcoming season.

Yeni Malatyaspor has been relegated due of poor way of running side and it needs to gather lessons from this mistakes to get back into top division.

Antalyaspor 4:1 Hatayspor
