Cornelius got an advantage goal at Turkish Cup.
Trabzonspor has won Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg game against Kayserispor thanks to the last minutes goal from Andreas Cornelius at the game which side did struggle to find openning goal due of organised defence from opponents.
It needs to be noted that both Trabzonspor and Kayserispor did come out to the game to get advantage scoreline in such fixture, but Trabzonspor did have problem with finding opportunities which been due of ongoing drop of performance in the Super League and also for strong defensive game from Kayserispor. Therefore, it did look like Trabzonspor needed to find ways how to overpass strong defensive opponent which it didnt do much during 1st half but raised tempo on 2nd half with providing some alternative goals but still failed to find that goal. However, Andreas Cornelius did find eventually goal which side been looking for with using his attacking style, reminding why is being best goalscorer in the team. This win would also make one step closer to ending this season with double and also get rid of pressure which it felt for past 4 weeks.
Kayserispor on their part did provide strong and confident performance against Trabzonspor especially in defence once again showing that side is being especially organised and motivated against big clubs. Despite of losing this game with 1:0 scoreline, it still being minumum result and it still has opportunity it get final ticket.
Andreas Cornelius goal on 88th minute has provided needed push not only in this game but also raised confidence and reduced pressure of whole side in general and this would go into advantage in league game this weekend.
Galatasaray had trouble to concentrate for Yeni Malatyaspor game.
Despite of win against Yeni Malatyaspor thanks to two goals which been scored back-to-back by Ryan Donk and Halil Dervisoglu within 2 minutes, it needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray had trouble against arleady relegated opponent.
It is true that Galatasaray with being out of aims in rest of this season and also having low motivation and confidence but it did play against side which been relegated and hence it was expected from them to get win. But it did provide pretty slow and passive game especially in 1st half and did find 1st goal into big difficulty. It does look like technical staff and players are being disoriented and having lack of focus which for sure would affect negatively for first of the season even through side is focussed to end season at highest note it can.
Hence, Galatasaray despite of win didnt provide game which been expected from them and would have difficult ending of the season.
Sivasspor and Alanyaspor could provide strong competitive game.
Second Turkish Cup semi-final game would be played between Alanyaspor and Sivasspor as those are being two sides which are providing top performances and even through are not seen as title contenders in league, have ended in recent years close to the top.
Therefore, those both sides are in quality to get into final stage of the Turkish Cup and even go all the way and hence it would be expected to be seen tactical game between both sides but also quality level of game if both sides would give its strong performance. Its hard to state which side would be favourite but Sivasspor is being slighly better side both with experience and squad and having coach which is more familiar with Turkish football Riza Calimbay. But there is not much absences between sides once again and it is expected to be highly competitive game.
Both sides are close to each other when coming to quality and that would affect into quality of the game for sure.
