Fenerbahce did show some improvements with its game against Kasimpasa.
Among one of the most anticipated games during this week at Super League has been between Fenerbahce who unusually is located at close area at relegation zone against Kasimpasa who unusually are at race for leadership at the league. With game played at high tempo it has ended with 2:2 scoreline.
Fenerbahce it needs to be stated did provide much more better attacking game which it has shown at recent games including against Dinamo Zagreb but still it wasnt enough to get a win and still has conceded 2 goals, which has been scored from opponent and league main goal scorer Diagne. Another player which has recieved dissapointing performance once again during this game has been Islam Slimani who once again didnt manage to score a goal even through he was getting into some numbers of the chance as game has been progressed. It needs to be admitted that Fenerbahce did want to win game and did raise tempo, but with pressure which team has right now did show its effects once again to the side and this factors without doubt does make lots of issues at least mid-season transfer window and right now Fenerbahce at worst needs to at keep itself outside of relegation zone and at best go up to mid-table during upcoming next 3 games.
Kasimpasa did show good performance and did prove that its not at 2nd place by accident at the league even through this performance could be argued not to be enough for league title to some arguments. Stating that, in whatever circumstances Fenerbahce is at, its difficult game to play at their stadium and hence 1 point could be crucial one at the end of the season.
Fenerbahce would now play Turkish Cup game against Giresunspor and it could be an option to play that game with main squad so to keep players getting used to high level performance as to all respect to Giresunspor, this game could be good opportunity to aim for good score and performance and hence affect its motivation and confidence.
Besiktas did get deserved win even through it didnt show best football.
Besiktas has managed to get an important win against Galatasaray during derby game at Super League 14th week with penaly kick of Adem Ljajic, even through the game itself didnt have many chances on goal.
It needs to be stated that Besiktas did come out in not best physical condition as it has played against Sarpsborg 08 2 days prior of such crucial game and some tiredness aspects has been visible at the game. Even through the tempo of game wasnt too slow, it didnt manage to get many chances and after getting penalty goal on 18th minute, it has mainly focussed into defensive style game. Still, with such a win Besiktas did get into same points with Galatasaray at the league table and currently stands 6 points behind league leaders Basaksehirspor. It did look at the game that Besiktas has wanted this game even more even through Galatasaray did provide also good fighting spirit. It was also important for Adem Ljajic to show pretty good performance as so far for most of time he didnt fulfill his expectations which was provided to him from team and also from fans. Besiktas did get an important win and surely it would raise its confidence for rest of the season.
With Besiktas being banned from this season Turkish Cup, it currently has a chance to get prepared for next week game against Alanyaspor and aim to carry on winning games which it needs to do if it wants league title this season.
Galatasaray absence of attacker has shown itself against Besiktas once again.
Poor recent performance of Galatasaray and also factor of not having an attacking player, with only Eren Derdiyok being available, Istanbul side has shown another poor performance and has lacked to find winning goal.
Galatasaray in similar manner tried to play fast game and to some extend didnt even get to close penalty area of Besiktas in organised manner, but as ball got into goal, Galatasaray has started making mistakes with passes and lack of last touches. It became once again clearer, and even possibly more compare to some games during this season, that it urgently needs an attacker and midseason could be a great opportunity. Even through Galatasaray administration does promise to get even 2 attackers, it needs to remember that transfer in January is harder to do than in summer, so their is no certainty their might even solve those issue in all fairness. This performance does provide poor view not only in league where it has high number of injuries and also bans, but also to Champions League where it has more alternatives available in its hand. Even if Galatasaray does get good attacker in January, its still needs to get maximum points it can during last 3 games of the 1st half.
Galatasaray would now focus to Turkish Cup game on 5th December against Keciorengucu at 5th round 1st leg game as a win could provide some important motivation towards crucial games left on 2018.
