What happened in Turkish football today? 09/12/2018

Fenerbahce finds itself at relegation zone after 15th week.

Fenerbahce has dropped to relegation zone after providing very poor performance against other strugglers of this season Akhisarspor with losing game 3:0 scoreline and not being able to create any chances during game.

Despite of few chances team has created with Mehmet Ekici during first 15 minutes of the game, Fenerbahce has been providing very ineffective and poor game and as game has been progressed this lack of plan and creativity has become even worser. This game without doubt does provide what kind of season is club experiencing right now and why it is located at relegation zone. With taking account that Fenerbahce has provided such a poor performance during whole season and has nothing to do with team not being at form during this game and hence Fenerbahce is having this performance whole season and does need to have big changes starting from squad and go up to as far as teams administrative team or at least ones who administer football team. It does look also that days of Erwin Koeman, who did recieve some praise when taking place of Phillip Cocu, is also uncapable to provide some performance. It is clear that Fenerbahce needs to make incredible changes.

Akhisarspor on other hand did provide some great performance with showing very organised attacking game and for sure did use an opportunity of poor side to get this important win. Compare to Fenerbahce, Akhisarspor has provided full focus towards game and has got very well deserved win.

Fenerbahce at short needs to go through with very important changes as team as results are not going as their wish and it does find itself at very dangerous area which it never experienced at its history.

Galatasaray lost despite winning with 2:0 scoreline.

Galatasaray did manage to keep its 2:0 leadership against Rizespor during Super League 15th week game and have lost important 2 points to last-placed team at their home ground stadium.

Even through Galatasaray as a team does going through difficult periods due of not having in having in hand high number of the players due of injuries and also bans, it still should be able to keep its 2:0 scoreline leadership. But quite opposite when Rizespor player Umar Aminu has scored at 76th minute, it was side which was dominating game and couldnt even won game. In fact, it did score 3 goals as one disallowed goal which wasnt given due of foul towards goalkeeper is highly debated as Aminu didnt actually touch ball but he did prevent Muslera to provide calm movement at the field. Still, it is worrying image in the side of Galatasaray for at least not to keep its leadership has been progressing. Even through Galatasaray would be playing its last game against Porto with only needing 1 point for Europa League against side which has secured its leadership at group it still needs to stay focussed and aim for good performance.

Galatasaray keep talking about making their squad stronger during mid-season transfer window but their are still have 4 games in all competitions until mid-season and need to show good performance on those games.

Trabzonspor is showing great performance in recent games.

Trabzonspor keep on showing an impressive performance during last 3 weeks as this time their have managed to beat Konyaspor with helps of 3 goals scored during last 15 minutes of the game.

Despite of goals coming so late, it needs to be noted that Trabzonspor has dominated game from start to an end however could raise tempo very high as their opponents has shown good defensive organised game. Still, it could be stated that Konyaspor didnt have much plans to score themselves so it was visible that game has been turn into when and if Trabzonspor would be able to score which did come thanks to the penalty from Hugo Rodallega which has opened game even more for Trabzonspor and has continued with other 2 goals. Trabzonspor would be aiming for sure to end 1st half with winning two games at the leagues as it would be having 2 difficult games against Besiktas and later with Rizespor. If Trabzonspor would be able to achieve that and with how season is progressing their is even possibility for Trabzonspor to start aiming for title at the end of the season if it gets results which it is seeking for.

Trabzonspor in recent games are in right track and right now their need to aim to carry on this high level performance with high aims for 2nd half of the season.
