Both Besiktas and Trabzonspor have been playing for a win at the game which has ended with 2:2 scoreline.
Turkish Super League 16th week game between Besiktas and Trabzonspor has been among one of the exciting games of this season which has ended with 2:2 scoreline as both sides has gave all to win game and has provided positive football.
With Besiktas showing poor performance in recent weeks both at the Super League and also being eliminated from Europa League this has been as seen as turning point game with a win could at least help team to enter to mid-season break with better condition. It needs to be admitted that Besiktas didnt start game at manner which their were seeking for with making high amount of mistakes with passes and hence helping Trabzonspor to control ball and game and creating chances. However, Besiktas has shown strong improvement during 2nd half of the game with some changes with going much more forward and showing faster pace game. One of the key performance during game has been shown by Besiktas player Dorukhan Tokoz who has shown very positive performance and has become key role during 1st goal of Besiktas which has touched Onazi and have scored once again but goal has been cancelled due of offside. With such performance it was visible that Dorukhan Tokoz would be key player for upcoming years both to team and club. It was also important for Besiktas to show good attacking game and not giving up until end of the game.
Trabzonspor on other hand, with having some good performance during recent weeks, has started game at great form looking for high amount of the chances focussing at showing an attacking game. Trabzonspor has used most of the mistakes very effectively from Besiktas mistakes and has found 2 goals with such help. One of the mistakes of not keeping 2:0 advantage during game however in the side of Trabzonspor has been into not changing its tactics as it continued showing an attacking game which is always dangerous tactic against team like Besiktas at away game. Still, Trabzonspor still has shown great performance and have managed to keep same points with its rivals at the top and having 8 point difference against Basaksehirspor. Taking account that it has played against Besiktas and being able to keep good fight without doubt would be positive aspect for a team. Still Trabzonspor is showing very good image so far during this season and could be giving some fight for title race this season with this performance.
As been mentioned, this game has been among best games of this season as both sides has shown great attacking game and fighting spirit. Right now, both sides would be aiming to end last game of 1st half of the season with a win and focus into title during 2nd half of the season.
Galatasaray didnt show enough performance to get win against Basaksehirspor
Galatasaray wasnt able to reduce 8-point difference against Basaksehirspor as it has drawn game with 1:1 scoreline against leaders of the group without providing too much impressive game despite of creating high amount of the games.
With Super League season coming to the half-w ay after next week games, Galatasaray has got an important opportunity to reduce point difference but their managed only for a draw and even through 8-point difference would keep them at title race, their did lose crucial opportunity. What was even more worrying, that Galatasaray has failed to get upper hand with its performance and to some extend has been looked as the side to who draw was enough.Basaksehirspor meanwhile has provided pretty slow and controllable game during 1st half but has shown an attacking game at 2nd half with looking and creating chances. Coming to conceded goal on 1st half, it needs to be admitted that it did come from pretty simple mistake from defenders which allowed Irfan Can Kahveci to have simple shot to the goal. It is clear that Galatasaray would need to show good performance during Sivasspor next week and also at Turkish Cup against Sivas Belediyespor and after focus towards transfers.
Galatasaray has failed to provide good performance in recent weeks especially after Fatih Terim has recieved 10-game ban and needs to find new motivation especially for 2nd half of the season.
Ersun Yanal new journey with Fenerbahce starts with Erzurumspor.
Fenerbahce newly-signed head coach Ersun Yanal would have his first game against Erzurumspor during Super League 16th week game, as it would be 1st game for him as his priority job right now is to get out team out of relegation zone.
This game, in similar manner as was Akhisarspor during last week, would be game for Fenerbahce against side who also located at the bottom section of the table and would need to win game. It would be also an important game without doubt to get motivation of the players and confidence which seems to be lacking. It is reported that Fenerbahce head coach Ersun Yanal has informed players that he believes that their able to provide much better football with their capabilities which is without doubt is strong motivation. It needs to be noted that it would be unreasonable for players to show much better performance compare to previous games as it is only 3-day period and 1 training session when he has joined team but the attitute of the players is expected to be different as fans also expected to be gathered at stadium as their have got coach which their were awaiting for as soon as Ali Koc has been selected as CEO. It needs to be aware that with poor condition of Fenerbahce at table, Erzurumspor also expected to give their chances and with showing positive football despite of being at bottom half of table would push team forward.
