What happened in Turkish football today? 07/11/2017

Fenerbahce has decided to add players in winter rather than do drastic changes at football team.

Fenerbahce head coach Aykut Kocaman has attended today of the team training session after which question about Kocaman resigning from his post has been closed at least for now, as Fenerbahce administrator and club has made statement that he stays as head coach.

It is reported that even through Aykut Kocaman was determined to provide his resignation, administration has led many talks with him led especially by CEO Aziz Yildirim which motivated him change his mind. There are also discussions that his words were misinterpreted and it was provided after huge dissapointment with team performance and also his personal at trying to solve this issue. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce administration has also stated that no players would be taken from the team during this period but there would be number of transfer during mid-season window as some names has been coming out at the media. Hence, it does look like that rather providing drastic changes at current condition of team there would be additions to it. Therefore, Fenerbahce has provided an additional chance to sort out things to its head coach Aykut Kocaman and time would show how successful he would be.

Therefore, Fenerbahce doesnt look like that it would be going into drastic changes despite of situation at the team until midseason transfer window probably due of factor that it would been easier to make those changes in those circumstances.

Turkish clubs needs to focus into developing youth academies.

The talks about foreign players limit at the Super League has been come out today as Turkish National Team head coach Mircea Lucescu and Turkish Youth and Sports minister Orhan Bak has stated that it should been reduced however TFF right now are more focussed into academy works.

With Mircea Lucescu joining the national team, the talks about foreign players limit has become hot topic especially when national team break has been taken as Lucescu blames for weak squad and poor results due of this factors for the limit to be high and Turkish players not having chances to get playing time. However, there is huge talks also around about if those would be solved and there is talks than rather focus into foreign limit there much be work about improving conditions at the academy. Spain and Germany does have a high foreign players limit but with strong academy system it is capable at same time to build on domestic players always making them squad to be favourites to win World Cup and Euros. Sadly, the academy in Turkey is not very strong which does raise issue big problems at the development of youth players and this should been area to be focussed on in near future, if clubs achieve that problem with new youth players in Turkey would be solved.

Hence, there are lots of works which needs to be done by Turkish clubs to make future for Turkish players and national team with development at their works at their academies.

Karabukspor CEO Feridun Tankut and his administrative team has resigned from their post.

Karabukspor CEO Feridun Tankut and his administrative team in suprising way has announced their resignation from the team stating that more economical jobs needs to be done and new names needed for the club.

The following resignation does seem that its not based with recent results or push for a team to resign from other administrators or supporters, but not being confident that their can run club with their finances possibly seeing that their economical works are not enough for team to go forward. Also possibly providing a message to Karabuk businessman or/and around Turkey to invest lots of money to Karabukspor with providing leadership and lead team to be capable to fight more at the Super League financially which should also be returned to good results. With Super League clubs became pretty strong during last transfer window this action does provide some understanding as with squad its not as strong as many their opponents. Right now its important that person who takes place of Tankut would also care about team as much as himself.

This action as been mentioned was big surprise but taking account into finances of most clubs in Super League and how Karabukspor competes with them is highly understandable.
