Besiktas has shown perfect game against Monaco but only lacked last touches.
Besiktas has carried on providing high level performance at the Champions League as it has gained 1 point from 4th week game against Monaco and has almost quarenteed its ticket to the knockout stages, even through it did found number of high dangerous chances during 1st half but couldnt convert them.
In fact, until conceding goal on 45+1' minute from Monaco, Besiktas has dominated game and has proved itself to get closer to the Champions League level once again and only problem which was present from Besiktas is the lack of last touch. In fact, the creating of dangerous positions by Besiktas has been incredibly high during game but with Oguzhan Ozyakup, Cenk Tosun and especially Ryan Babel it couldnt get last touches needed to find goals. In other hand, defence of Besiktas has shown very good performance during game today without allowing Monaco to feel comfortable even through number of good chances has been created. The game in 2nd half has been played in similar level and Besiktas was able to control game. Right now Besiktas is getting closer to the knockout stages with having 10 points at the group. Besiktas has certainly has focussed to Champions League this season and it would be deserving to get to the knockout stage with such performance at this tournament.
Monaco on other hand has shown great performance especially 2nd half certainly focussing into win and to some extend it has provided defensive tactic at 1st half showing that opponents start taking Besiktas seriously and aimed to win game which only helped to make game into high level.
Besiktas has played great game against Monaco with only last touches missing during game but for sure team is being into level to compete at Champions League for certain.
Konyaspor needs strong self-belief for game against Salzburg.
Konyaspor without doubt during Europa League 4th week game against RB Salzburg would be aiming to get a win and carry on its chances at getting to the knockout stages as the group stays close to each other with 3 games left.
However, it needs to be stated that Konyaspor would play game against team which is in good form currently as it has shown during last week game where it won. Taking account that this time Konyaspor would be playing an away game and will not recieve a support from their supporters it could be tough game taking account quality of the team. It would be also be 1st game as coach of Konyaspor in Europe for Mehmet Ozdilek and its hopeful that he would be able to provide his good experience to the players from time when he shown occassionally good performance with his club Besiktas back in the 1990's. Konyaspor even through has been criticised for not being strong enough in quality wise does need some motivational and self-belief for bringing surprise result tomorrow against Salzburg as things also not going well for them in domestic league.
Konyaspor would have tough time but with still being aware that their can get to the knockout stages should at least raise some self-belief as without it would have tough time against Salzburg.
Basaksehirspor needs to see Hoffenheim as an opportunity to restart its Europa League competition.
Until now Basaksehirspor has provided pretty poor and below expectation performance at the Europa League as it didnt manage to win game yet and would play against Hoffenheim during 4th week against team which also would be aiming to win game to get to the knockout stage.
This game without doubt its very important for Abdullah Avci if it wants to carry on its performance at the Europa League after new year but it would have tough time as its star player Emre Belozoglu has become injured again as he didnt play either against German side 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately and even through Basaksehirspor did become stronger team and are in good position at Super League it became visible that the team is not at same level than other clubs at the Europa League hence it struggles at the group. Of course, if Basaksehirspor will manage to win Hoffenheim at home it would restart its Europa League campaign and at least end at high note but to do that without doubt its need to win tomorrow's game. Therefore, its important for Basaksehirspor to treat game in that manner and provide some small chances even to get to the knockout stage with 2 games left at the group.
Playing at home its good advantage against Hoffenheim but its need to provide some difficult time to them if it wants to win game as their dont come out as favourites for the game sadly.
