Galatasaray has regained an important win with motivational scoreline against Genclerbirligi.
Galatasaray has won Super League 11th week game against Genclerbirligi with very confident performance and 5:1 scoreline and among scoreline has also dominated game and has send an important message that condition of the team is in good to all the media outlets.
It could been argued that Galatasaray didnt play against opponent which is in bad condition and was seen as favourite of the game in whatever circumstances but it needs to be remembered that both Besiktas and Trabzonspor did lose points to Genclerbirligi and it did show some improvement with Mesut Bakkal becoming head coach at the team. One of the important factors of the team with Galatasaray is that from 5 goals it has come from 4 players and also Bafetembi Gomis getting back into scoring habit with finding 2 goals, with 1 goal from penalty kick. Galatasaray to some extend was lucky to play with this form Genclerbirligi prior to national team break as it would get there at good mood and would be going through national team break at high concentration next 2 weeks. Galatasaray did once again concede goal from set piece but with this goal coming when game has arleady been ending with Istanbul side victory and could be forgiven this time. It has regained an important motivation which it lost in last 2 games.
Genclerbirligi even through are at bottom of the league and is performing poorly it was still unexpected performance as it was showing some improvement and wasnt able to get any response against Galatasaray which led to this scoreline.
Galatasaray would play against Basaksehirspor and Besiktas after national team break which once again show how this win with this kind of score was very important and has certainly made some critics quite with today score.
Konyaspor played defensive football but it worked against RB Salzburg.

It does need to be stated that Basaksehirspor performance so far at the Europa League has been dissapointing however Edin Visca last minute goal against Hoffenheim during 4th week game did bring back chances to qualify to last 32.
With taking account that it was observed an improvement at the game, there are reasons to look optimistically for last 2 games however in same and sadly even with good performance yesterday it still might not be enough as it does have difficult position as among winning last 2 games it also needs to get to the optimistic results. In fact, comment of Abdullah Avci that team would get to knockout when their win 2 games is pretty far from truth. However, as been mentioned at the blog yesterday it needs to stay positive and play its best football. Stating that, Basaksehirspor did provide much better game compare to previous game between two sides and has shown better and compact football and it needs to show similar focus into games in last 2 games for it to end tournament with positive note at least.
The situation is pretty complicated but there is no reason to give up now and its time to focus to Ludogorets game right now for Basaksehirspor.
