What happened in Turkish football today? 06.12

Fenerbahce had trouble with condition of the field and playing 10 men most time but team itself wasnt great.
The game against Gaziantepspor for Fenerbahce has ended up being very hard game for different factors for Fenerbahce during today Super League games. One of the main factors was very poor conditions of the field as Gaziantepspor has shown that it has worst football field at the whole league. Another aspects was playing with 10 man for 67 minutes (includes 7 additional minutes given in both halves). Despite of all this difficulties Fenerbahce has managed to get very important point for the title race even through it has lost leadership to Besiktas.

Despite of all this issues it has to state that Fenerbahce has hardly played great football today.  Specific, dissapointment was by performance by star of last game against Trabzonspor, Nani who was slow during the game and could not create any goal-scoring positions during game. Prior to last game, Nani was criticised to playing egoistic football which he stopped last week but has returned once again to old habit this week.

Gaziantepspor meanwhile has played fast football without going too much into defence and aiming to win against Fenerbahce especially after winning with 1:0 when sent off happened. Undoubetdly, for
Gaziantepspor it was also hard game due of field conditions and questionable decisions by referees.

Right now Fenerbahce needs to focus to very important game against Celtic where it will need to get 1 point with club which doesnt have chance to qualify at Europa League last 32 stage. At the Super League it has great chance to get leadership once again as next day after Basaksehir on next Sunday there will be game against Besiktas and Galatasaray.

Besiktas needs faster tempo against Sporting

Besiktas has won an important game against Rizespor despite of being playing poorly and not able to provide its fast paced football which we became used to see at start of season. Of course, as long as Besiktas keep winning it should not be seen as crises but undoubtedly this performance does worry supporters, administrators and technical teams of the team.

As been stated at yesterday blog Kayserispor is quality team but it has always trouble at providing high quality football against big 4 clubs. In addition, the team does get positive aspects from this game such as goal scored by Mario Gomez and Sosa, former showing decline at performance while Sosa first time showing his maximum capability at the team. Besiktas has got an important game also prior to important game against Galatasaray, game of two title contenders.

But even more important this morale was needed for very crucial game against Sporting at Europa League where worst score its needs a draw. In that game, undoubtedly, it needs to play same attacking football which it has started campaign with as Sporting will not be slow itself.

Trabzonspor gets points from struggling teams.

Trabzonspor game during 14th week of Super League will be taken place after next day of the election of its CEO. As been stated, earlier selection of new CEO could raise motivation and solve some issues with players but this certainly will not be done at 1 day, but at least club will play against struggling Eskisehirspor.

Following decline after Galatasaray game, it was observed that Trabzonspor only managed to get wins against struggling teams so far and with this transition period club is at, club has recieved best opponent prior to time when things could be slightly solved with players recieving wages very likely next week.

On the side of the Eskisehirspor, it also will play against Trabzonspor who has trouble times so if Eskisehirspor will play its best football its capable to do, it can win this game.
