What happened in Turkish football today? 12.12
Trabzonspor is showing unstable performance.
Trabzonspor is among the clubs who currently is showing unstable performance as it wins one game and tend to lose next game. As been mentioned previously at our blogs Trabzonspor seems to get comfortable wins against team who are below at the league table but when it comes to teams at top half or in similar positions as Trabzonspor it tends to have hard time to get the result.
To some extend the scoreline does not represent scoreline as Trabzonspor did try to create chances and in adition there is penalty which was not scored by Oscar Cardozo in 1st half which to some extend has affected to motivation of team, even through goals conceded in the end of second half provided huge motivation to the team and led Rizespor to raise motivation for second half and control game and in other side led loss of focus and belief to Trabzonspor.
There was expectation that Trabzonspor would improve after all the tensions at the club during this week has been reduced as Muharrem Usta has become club CEO, even through players stress was reduced its lack of physical training and tiredness has affected to today's games. Right now club needs to focus into 2 league games and 2 cup games until New Year.
Meanwhile, this game undoubtedly was very important for Rizespor and with the motivation it will help them to get good results in rest two games until winter break with the high note.
Turkish national team has good chance at the Euro 2016 group stage.
Today was an important day for Turkish national team as for other Euro 2016 participants as it was draw date for the tournament which will take place next summer. After the draw Turkey was drawn to Group D with Spain, Croatia and Czech Republic. Even through this could not be called an easy group, it is one of the best which could Turkey hope for prior to draw.
Interesting thing about following draw is that Turkey has met both with Czech Republic and Croatia during historical performance of national team at the Euro 2008. As was remembered, both games was decided with incredible last minute goals against both teams which made Turkey one of the memorable teams at the tournament. Coming to the current condition, even through both teams does look stronger at the paper the difference between Turkey and those teams are not huge and hence
Turkey can aim at worst to best 3rd placed team at, but it can easily get 2nd place at the group.
Undoubtedly, the strongest team at the group is Spain and hence this team should be put into aside in calculation of the group. It could be argued that Spain has performed poorly at the World Cup 2014, but it doesnt matter cause team is still strong with strong group of players. The Turkey has good chances at this group if it provides high performance, which it does in all of the major tournaments.
Fenerbahce needs to solve red card issue.
Following qualifying to the round of 32 stage at the Europa League, Fenerbahce is going to focus once more into the league with very important game against Basaksehirspor tomorrow. As it is known, on Monday with a game between Besiktas and Galatasaray, with Galatasaray win or draw Fenerbahce once again could regain leadership at the league.
Fenerbahce despite of recieving draws in last two games is in good mood as a team. As long team, doesnt get needless red cards which seems to provide all the problems lately it should be able to get a win even through it will be tough game, as Basaksehirspor always shown extra motivation against big 4 teams. It does seem that Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira needs to calm down its players and make them less nervous, otherwise the team should play positive attacking football at home with the good support of supporters.
As been stated above, Basaksehirspor has shown great motivation against big 4 teams so it wont be an easy game for Fenerbahce adding that it has good performance at this season. Even through Fenerbahce is favourite, Basaksehirspor wont give easy game to its opponent.
