Turkey got draw and ends Euro 2024 qualification as leaders in the group
Turkish National Team has managed to end its group stage for Euro 2024 as leaders after drawing with Wales with 1:1 scoreline at Cardiff as it did take time for team to get into game during 1st half but did provide pretty good performance on 2nd half.
Even through Turkey did qualify to Euro 2024 prior to this game, it did come out with strong motivation and confidence to get a historical achievement of ending groups tage at top spot and hence get advantage at the draw which would be taking place on 2nd December where it would be getting on 2nd pot. Coming to the game, as been noted it did take time for Turkey to get into the game as it let Wales to have control of the game and find an early goal with Williams as it didnt need to win game while Croatia would possibly lose to Armenia, which didnt happen. Towards 2nd half of the 1st half and also after half-time Turkey has improved performance and started providing more attacking game and did find goal with Yusuf Yazici from penalty kick. Turkey didnt necessarily provide its best performance during whole game but when looking at whole qualifying tournament especially after appointment of Vincenzo Montella it certainly has deserved to end group as leaders.
Wales as been noted did come with an aim to win game as it could get ticket to Euro 2024 if Croatia did lose game against Armenia and it did provide performance according to that as it did found goal, however goal from Croatia did let team slightly to lose tempo even through it did look for chances. Now it would wait for opponents which it would meet during play-off round.
Turkey hence has got strong achievement with ending group stage as leaders for first time and does provide promising view prior to Euro 2024 competition.
Three players has become injured at Besiktas
Besiktas players Milot Rashica, Jean Onana and Yakup Arda Kilic all become injured during this national team break with Rashica getting injured during Kosovo national team training sessions.
With Riza Calimbay going through whole squad right now and does consider to use when needed all of its players at maximum levels during games but especially during training sessions this would been unwanted development. Coming to ideal 11 for the Super League games, without doubt most negatively affected injury to team would be Milot Rashica as he does provide strong performance at the midfielder and Calimbay would need to find good solution for him at the squad. Arda Guler has been nominated as rising at Global Football Awards
Real Madrid player Arda Guler has been nominated as rising star category at the Global Football Awards mainly due of his performance at Fenerbahce and national team as he didnt get lots of playing time.
Even through this nomination is being very significant, there are as expected lots of top-level youngsters nominated at 27 team list which included Barcelona player Gavi and Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham so expecting Guler to win this category with including factor among others that he did play only half of the year would not be expected for sure. However, this nominee would provide Guler lots of optimism and confidence for upcoming years as he has all reasons to become star player in near future.
This news could also provide some motivation and confidence in this difficult period of recovery from injury.
