Galatasaray and Manchester United has both shown a game to remember at Champions League.

Foremost, it is important to note that both sides has shown one of the best, if not best game of the season, as game has been played at high tempo with chances coming in same speed as did pouring rain whole day did in Istanbul.

It needs to be stated that Galatasaray didnt have very good game as it is possible didnt expect for Manchester United to have such fast-tempo and attacking game as English side has made it clear that their did come out for a win. However, as game turned into 2:0 for Galatasaray did provide response which was expected for them as it provided similar tempo as did Manchester United and did find a great goal before half-time from Hakim Ziyech who has scored from free-kick which did come as mixture of great shot from Galatasaray and also mistake from Onana. Manchester United did have a very good start of the game with finding 2 goals on first 20 minutes but it needs to be stated that poor performance of Onana who continues showing not very good performance at his team did play an important role for side to lose 2 points as Manchester United did show in overall good performance which it did on previous weeks.

Following this result, Galatasaray did get into advantage point with such point for getting into next round of the tournament but it would still need to get good result against Copenhagen in last week of group stage.

Fenerbahce would play game for leadership against Nordsjaelland.

Fenerbahce would be coming to a game at Conference League where win would be able to guarantee top spot in the group and hence let team not to play next round at knockout round while there is risk of losing top 2 spot if it loses game. 

Despite of winning all of the 3 games until losing to Ludogorets during last game, Fenerbahce does run a risk of not getting out of group due of closeness at the group among three teams and hence this would be a tough game. Fenerbahce on positive note with a win against Fatih Karagumruk at the last game has ended its negative record of not winning 3 games and hence did regain its morale and confidence for such an important game. Nordsjaelland will be underdogs when looking at the quality of both teams but it would be coming out with extra motivation due of importance of the game and hence Fenerbahce would need to take this game also with respect and seriousness to opponent. It also needs to be noted that it is expected to be cold and snowy day as game is to be played in Denmark and Fenerbahce would need to be ready for such conditions.

Fenerbahce will be coming out as favourite but due of condition of the team it would see opponent which would seek at least for a draw.

Besiktas lack of aim could have negative impact against Club Brugge

Besiktas as it is known would be playing formality games as it would be meeting with group leaders Club Brugge which are seeking to win game to get leadership of the group.

Besiktas does come out on good form, how ironic it might not sound, as it did win 2 games with Riza Calimbay but it does lack extra motivation of getting leadership, which is present at Club Brugge and this could be key area which does put Belgian side as favourites. Regardless how much Besiktas are wanting to continue its run, has positive impact of coefficient points for Turkey the thought from players of it being formality game could have negative impact to team.

Trabzonspor lacks strong attacking game.

Even through Trabzonspor does continue its winning run at the Super League following 2:2 draw against Sivasspor, it is currently being 11 points behind league leaders and hence this draw would have negative impact of its chances for title race.

It needs to be mentioned foremost that Trabzonspor did have very poor start of the season as Sivasspor did get full control of the game and has found 2:0 scoreline at 20th minute as this has been one of the main reasons why Trabzonspor did lose 2 points while other equally crucial is conceded goal on start of the 2nd half. Positive aspect from Trabzonspor without doubt has been that winning spirit which it has shown following 2nd conceded goal and also after 3:2 scoreline but it should been as much as focussed from start of the game. It is clear that Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci does have an issue with providing attacking game but he would need to find solutions for this if he wants to win games in upcoming weeks.

Both Trabzonspor and Sivasspor have shown high-level exciting game at freezing weather

Both Sivasspor and Trabzonspor have shown an exciting game at freezing weather as game has ended with 3:3 scoreline at the game where Trabzonspor did catch up twice its opponent but didnt get ahead.

It needs to be stated that Trabzonspor did have poor start of the game which did come with both away sides not being able to get into mood of the game and also correct and highly attacking game of Sivasspor. Without doubt, 2 goals which did come during first minutes of the game did provide an important assist and let for Trabzonspor to get from behind. It did take around 30 minutes for Trabzonspor to get into game during 1st half where it did get 2 results including great goal from Onuachu and did come one with potential for 2nd half. However, it didnt get an upper hand as both sides did show good performance with Sivasspor once again but Trabzonspor later did get draw once again. Positive point for Trabzonspor without doubt has been to stay at the game and get from behind twice including when it was losing 2:0 but it did lack that final touch to win such crucial game.

Sivasspor meanwhile has been unlucky with result from they perpsective as it did provide good attacking game and also organised defensive game. Since Sivasspor meanwhile didnt win games at its home ground, it is clear that it needs to improve on some play as it misses final touch but attitude and willingness does show it is being on right track.

Fenerbahce has got win at controversial game.

Fenerbahce got crucial win against Fatih Karagurmuk thanks to 2 goals from Dusan Tadic.

Fenerbahce has managed to get an important win without doubt at home ground with 2:1 scoreline thanks to 2 goals from Dusan Tadic between 48-58th minute as this win has been very important after not winning for 3 games.

It needs to be mentioned that even through Fenerbahce has been side which did control game and created chances, it did lack creativity and taking full control of the game as Fatih Karagurmuk did show strong organised performance and also has found good goal with counter-attack. With Fenerbahce providing not very strong effective game, it was questionable how performance would be changed after 1st half but it did provide much more attacking game on start and did find an early goal on 2nd half with Dusan Tadic due of foul towards Irfan Can Kahveci from opponent goalkeeper. With finding such an early goal, game did change into hand for Fenerbahce and with good organising attack and right positioning Tadic did score his 2nd goal which did provide final scoreline. Galatasaray got confident win against Alanyaspor prior to Manchester United game.

Galatasaray has got a confident win at home ground against struggling Alanyaspor with 4:0 scoreline win as it continues its undefeated home run during this season with providing full dominance of the game.

Even through, Galatasaray did get a confident win with result and performance it does need to be mentioned that opening goal which been scored by Mauro Icardi did come pretty late when looking how game has been developing as it did come out on 37th minute. It needs to be stated that with having tough and very important game against Manchester United in mid-week it was clear that Galatasaray did look for an early goal which could lead for side to show rush game in attack. However, when it did find goal on 37th minute followed with Mertens on 45th minute has made stuff easier as among poor game of opponent they also has become unmotivated which led for Galatasaray to carry on dominant and confident game on 2nd half with finding another 2 goals and on 70th minute has ended game.

Even through Alanyaspor has been struggling during this season, it still was expected to show some more stronger performance especially taking account that it does take some good results against opponent. However, apart of few chances it didnt show any upper hand and does provide some worrying views for upcoming weeks.

Galatasaray did get pretty confident and dominant win with only negative side for 1st goal coming so late but it did reach its aim and now can focus to Manchester United game.

Fenerbahce will be aiming to get good win against Fatih Karagumruk.

Fenerbahce would be aiming to carry its exciting race of leadership with Galatasaray, as it would be coming out game against struggling Fatih Karagumruk as opponent is not being able to show performance which it has shown in previous seasons.

Fenerbahce are being favourites despite of poor results in recent weeks but it would need to improve its attacking game which did show some decline before national team break.

Riza Calimbay has opportunity to show first time of game which he seeks for with Besiktas

With Riza Calimbay working for 2 weeks during national team break with Besiktas, we would be able to see for first time at least some signs of kind of game which Calimbay would be aiming for tactically.

With providing some respect towards Burak Yilmaz, Riza Calimbay has shown some criticism, right ones but now Calimbay would be able to show his class and raise of performance of his team with much better effective performance against Samsunspor. Galatasaray would be coming as favourites against Alanyaspor

Galatasaray would be resuming its Super League campaign following international team break with game against Alanyaspor as it would be coming out as favourite to the game and much more motivated.

Before national team break, Galatasaray did lose its first game during this season against Alanyaspor and also taking account of an important game it has against Manchester United next week at Champions League, it would be seeking to get good win against club which does have pretty struggling season. With Mauro Icardi also being recovered from his injury and likely not  to be playing with needless could lead him to provide much more effective performance as he would be expected to be taking once again leading role on the field and be closest onto goal. Arbitration Commitee has reduced fines towards Erden Timur and Ertugrul Dogan.

TFF Arbitration Committee has reduced fine towards Galatasaray administrator Erden Timur and Trabzonspor CEO Ertugrul Dogan regarding comments regarding referees performance.

Arbitration Committee due of going through statements from both administrators has went into reduction of punishment which has been set as 45-days of deprivation of rights and 210,000 TL. With Dogan reduction has been towards 30-days of deprivation of rights and almost 143,000 TL while for Timur it has been even more lighter as it been reduced to 21-days and 100,000 TL fine. Committee likely didnt find those statements too be too direct and agressive to provide maximum amount of punishment as even through some might argue about that. 

Still, punishment has been given even if lighter way and should be sending message to administrators to be more careful with their statements.

Trabzonspor has requested to move kick-off time of game against Sivasspor too earlier hours.

Trabzonspor has send request to TFF to change kick-off time of upcoming away game against Sivasspor from 20:00 to 16:00 of game to be played on 27th November due of difficult weather conditions at Sivas which is being city with cold weather and snow.

With Sivasspor supporting this suggestion, it could be difficult decision as game would be played on Monday and hence would lead for some fans who would be at work not either being able to visit to stadium or watch a game at home, as tv broadcaster might not be also too eager for change of this hours. Saying that, TFF did play games on midweek during working hours and hence it could accept such decision especially taking account of difficult weather conditions which would have some issues towards players health.

TFF would be making decision and even through it doesnt look to be likely, there is possibilty that kick-off time would be moving ahead on the day.

Montella figured it out how to work with players.

Turkish National Team has shown pretty impressive performance since appointment of Vincenzo Montella and has got undefeated run of 4 games which includes wins against Germany and Croatia and hence does provide lots if optimism for Euro 2024.

Turkey strong performance has been mixed with some quality of players with highly experienced head coach who is familiar with Turkish football and how things are working here among foreign players. One of the main reasons why foreign coaches are not getting good performance both at club and national team level has been of not being aware of how Turkish football working both in culturally and also in players mind. However, Montella during his stay did get an important experience of how to work with Turkish players and hence does provide right amount of confidence boost during training sessions and  outisde it, which without doubt provides positivety when players come out to field which in return turns to team showing effective performance and hence result.

Turkey ends as group leaders for first time in its history.

Turkey has ended its qualifying campaign as group leaders for first time in its history as it has got 1:1 draw against Wales thanks to the penalty goal from Yusuf Yazici at the game where Turkey did show pretty mixed performance.

Compare to Wales, Turkey did come to the game as side which arleady got ticket to Euro 2024 proper competition and to some extend did have relaxation of that even through a point would lead them to end group as leaders. This relaxation and to some extend, achieving its main task did lead side to provide pretty ineffective performance during 1st half as Wales did find an early goal on 8th minute and also did show good strong game. However, Turkey did raise tempo during 2nd half and start creating great chances and showed generally more eagerness in the attack which has led to get penalty position and found draw with Yusuf Yazici.

Hence, Turkey did end group stage as leader leaders for 1st time in its history and now would be waiting for its opponents on 2nd December for tournament proper.

Ugurcan Cakir returns from national team duty with an injury

Even through Turkey did qualify to Euro 2024 prior to this game, it did come out with strong motivation and confidence to get a historical achievement of ending groups tage at top spot and hence get advantage at the draw which would be taking place on 2nd December where it would be getting on 2nd pot. Fatih Ozgokcen will not run as club CEO election.

Konyaspor CEO Fatih Ozgokcen has announced that he would not be running as club's CEO candidate during upcoming election which would be taking place on 20th November as during this season team didnt provide good performance on the field.

It needs to be stated that when looking at overall Fatih Ozkogcen reign as CEO has been actually pretty good which also included team being at title race during 2020-21 season as it did has been only side which did provide some nervous moments at historical Trabzonspor title winning but couldnt complete season at high note and losing points at the end. However, during this season Konyaspor are providing pretty dissapointing performance with losing lots of games and also it didnt have necessarily good transfer window this summer. Hence, it could be seen natural for Ozgokcen not considering to be running once again as CEO candidate and would be seeking for new name to be selected for this position.

Al-Ittihad are interested to sign Vincent Aboubakar

TFF are rumoured to appoint Burak Yilmaz as national team assistant coach.

One of the most unexpected rumours which are going through today's Turkish football media is that TFF has offered asisstant coach role to Burak Yilmaz after short period after he has terminated contract with club.

Due of poor performance at Besiktas which to some extend did come from Besiktas administration providing too much pressure towards him, this decision could be seen as surprising and also too risky but in other hands he could get some experience as assistant coach at this high level with great coach who has set foot on this country Vincenzo Montella. Burak Yilmaz, as every new coach does have potentiality to become good coach but possibly he should not be getting such important posts on such important stages as it would provide pressure towards him and hence have some harm towards himself.

It is rumoured that he would be appointed after national team games and not being official yet and we would follow all the developments on this matter.

Besiktas will have an important CEO election later this month.

Besiktas are currently are getting prepared for CEO election which would be taking place in the end of the month with 2 candidates Serdar Adali and Hasan Arat as this election has been one of most important in recent history of club.

Current CEO Ahmet Nur Cebi and his administrative team are getting too much criticism from members of the club and especially supporters due of poor results during this season and also from not very effective summer transfer window. One of the eye-catching transfer rumours has been talks of possible transfer of Liverpool player Thiago Alcantara to Trabzonspor as club are reported to be showing an interest towards him.

Fenerbahce continue to be showing ineffective performance.

Fenerbahce and Adana Demirspor game has ended with goalless draw as Fenerbahce continues showing an ineffective performance of attackers which has been visible in previous 2 games.

It is true that Fenerbahce did get a point at one of the most toughest away games in the season as Adana Demirspor did win all games at home ground and this in fact did show that performance of Serdar Akaydin and Jayden Oosterwolde has been done in great performance as they were taking place of injured players but same couldnt be stated same for attackers especially taking account that Fenerbahce has been in control of possession and showed some attacking game but lacked dangerous opportunities for 90 minutes. Edin Dzeko, Dusko Tadic and Sebastien Szymanski whose attacking game who has been praised in recent weeks, are showing decline in current period and it does look like they would need to get into concentration once again without doubt. 

Fenerbahce would enter to national team as leaders due of goal difference but there is decline of performance which Ismail Kartal would need to work on and find reasons.

Riza Calimbay wins his 1st team as coach of Besiktas.

Even through performance wise Besiktas does need to improve a lot to show game which supporters and newly-appointed Riza Calimbay seeking for, it was important to get win against Basaksehirspor in coach first game. 

Expecting kind of game which Riza Calimbay would be aiming to show with this team would been too much without doubt as he had only come out only for 1 training session and also had lots of injured players. Stating that it was important to show lots of concentration and focus towards game and it did that. In all fairness, Basaksehirspor lack of showing game which would be providing pressure to Besiktas in attack without doubt has helped Istanbul giant. Besiktas did get an important win in sense on confidence and motivation but now Riza Calimbay would focus game which whole community would seek for during national team break.

Besiktas need to go very far to provide strong performance and in return to get good result and it would need lots of patience but Calimbay has capacity to slow get that team on that level.

Emre Kocadag will not run as CEO candidate

Besiktas administrator Emre Kocadag has announced that he would not run as club CEO candidate in upcoming CEO election on 3rd December.

This decision did come after few days Serdar Adali has announced his candidacy hence making it 2-horse race with Hasan Arat. Kocadag also made it clear in his statement that he is being specifically happy for there to be 2 candidates for that position. Until this announcement, there were talks in media that Emre Kocadag is considering to be running as candidate to which he did recieve criticism stating that due of poor performance of this administration, anyone who is inside it should not run as CEO election and this for sure has also affected his decision.

Besiktas are being on crises at every front and any candidate which would provide effective road to solve it would likely win this electiton.

Fenerbahce get 1 point at one of most difficult away games in league.

Fenerbahce got 1 point against Adana Demirspor during Super League 12th week with goalless result but it needs to be mentioned that side did provide an improvement of the performance in 1st half which does provide some satisfaction.

Fenerbahce has provided much stronger willingness at one of the most toughest away games as oponent didnt lose game during this season as it has been looking for chances and creating them for most amount of the game. It needs to be stated that with Fenerbahce starting game in pretty effective manner as it has been used in previous weeks but with some of last passes and also condition of the field which without doubt did affect. There was a bit of  decline of performance during 2nd half which could be tiredness from previous games. Another aspect, which needs to be noticed that despite of defensive being most negatively affected, Samet Akaydin and Jayden Oosterwolde did provide very good performance and didnt let Adana Demirspor to create many chances.

Adana Demirspor in their part didnt provide its usual home performance which been partly due of good defensive performance of Fenerbahce defenders and also side being on decline of performance during previous weeks. Now it would be an opporutnity for Adana Demirspor to regain some improvement at performance which been declined in recent weeks.

Tired scheduling and generally defensive issue did have an effect and hence this break would help Ismail Kartal to let side to rest until league resumes and also identify weak points which were arose in recent weeks. 

Riza Calimbay starts his reign at Besiktas with win.

Besiktas wins its home ground game against Basaksehirspor thanks to the goal from Jackson Muleka on 55th minute as Riza Calimbay starts his reign with his new team after being appointed only 2 days.

It needs to be mentioned that Riza Calimbay did have a positive impact when he did join team but this impact without doubt has been mentally as players did show some willingness to win game but when looking into tactically he didnt provide much changes and in fact he would need to have some time to get into level which Riza Calimbay would be hoping for. In fact, it should be stated that Besiktas didnt provide confident and dominant game as it been played at low tempo especially at 1st half and to some extend Basaksehirspor passive game during whole game did make things easier for Besiktas. Therefore, it is hard to state that Besiktas did provide strong physical game, which was expected due of situation which team as but did overcome psychologically some factors and even through it wasnt clear all the time there was still moments where it was clear Besiktas did come out into win regardless how it would be achieved. 

Basaksehirspor meanwhile did look very passive especially when taking account that Besiktas are being at poor form and Basakehispor which also does show poor performance could be treated game as an opportunity for extra point. Basaksehirspor does look to be having lots things to do in national team break and doesnt provide good view for future.

Besiktas head coach Riza Calimbay hence starts his reign with an important win against Basaksehirspor but it is clear that he would need to do in this national team break to raise quality of team.

Galatasaray lost to Hatayspor as players has been tired from Bayern Munich players.

Following loss from Fenerbahce on previous week against Trabzonspor, Galatasaray has ended with its undefeated run also as it got loss from Hatayspor as game has been expected to be tough one due of Galatasaray coming from difficult Bayern Munich game.

It is been visible that players during game against Hatayspor has been physically tired especially Mauro Icardi didnt look to be much effective at the attack, only getting one chance which he didnt convert in good manner. This drop of performance among physical tiredness could be also of his ongoing injury as he is playing with needless and did provide lots of pressure to his body. It also needs to be stated that Hatayspor head coach Volkan Demirel did do good studying of opponent and did focus into defensive and counter-attacking game which also didnt allow Galatasaray to play its own game. Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk meanwhile did play his last games with same squad and while results did come it did look no problematic but in this game this had direct impact as he could play with more fresh players.

Galatasaray loses its 1st game as key players didnt show its best performance.

Galatasaray loses its first game during this season against tough opponent Hatayspor as it needs to be mentioned that tiredness from Bayern Munich specifically and generally difficult scheduling did affect to this team and also Hatayspor showing strong and organised performance for 90 minutes.

Galatasaray did come to the game in high motivation and did also look into chances but it did fail to provide dominance which has been seen to some extend during this season and also Mauro Icardi either due of tiredness or his pressure given to his injury in this weeks start showing its signs as he didnt provide effective performance with only getting into few chances with lacking strong performance. Another aspect which could have been noted for Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk coming out in same starting 11 in this game as he did play during one away game to another which also has played its factor as he could go to the rotation. Quite possibly Buruk did feel pressure as he did play against good team and doesnt want to lose leadership before national team break but this didnt turned around as he wished at all.

Hatayspor needs to be stated did get important lessons from loss to Fenerbahce at the league as side did provide much more patient and controllable game even through it did look Galatasaray had controlled game and it used counter attacks in more effective manner for sure.

Trabzonspor gets into winning mentality after Konyaspor game.

Trabzonspor got back-to-back wins after Abdullah Avci has joined team as it played against struggling Konyaspor as it has showed good patient game but possibly still lacks showing dominant game.

Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci after joining team has been focussed to bring winning mentality to the team and also work on the system as he did when he joined on previous and being focussed into defensive game, believing that strong attack does come from specifically defence he does need time to let players play this system and hence game being not very fast tempo does affect game. Another aspect of the game, this has led for Trabzonspor to provide low tempo performance which could be happening in upcoming games including after national team break as system is changing drastically.

Trabzonspor hence did get an important win both for morale and confidence for upcoming games as it would be focussing into improving its performance in national team break.

Fenerbahce would aim to end its unlucky period with tough game against Adana Demirspor.

Fenerbahce would be coming out to very important game against Adana Demirspor as it would be seeking to get win after losing 2 games back-to-back after winning all games prior to that and hence this game would let them to end such unlucky period for them.

With losing 2 games, it is still discussed if team is having into decline with its performance or just going through unlucky period and hence result against Adana Demirspor would provide clear view especially taking account that Adana Demirspor has been seen to be 3rd best team in the league as it stands but it needs to be reminded that it did lose games during last 2 weeks so side is also being on decline.
