What happened in Turkish football today? 15/08/2022

Fenerbahce gets confident easy win against Kasimpasa.

Fenerbahce got confident win against Kasimpasa with 6:0 scoreline as it has dominated game and has created opportunities from start of the game while Kasimpasa didnt provide any danger towards Fenerbahce goal and provided poor defensive game.

Fenerbahce it needs to be mentioned did start game with an attacking focussed game as it provided strong pressure towards Kasimpasa goal and has converted an opportunity with great organised game which ended with Valencia assists and winning shot from Joshua King. In few minutes time, Kasimpasa player did get unneeded red card which without doubt has made tasks easier for Fenerbahce as players start going much more often into goal and could have found even more than 6 goals. However, it needs to be mentioned that getting with 10 men would not be case that Fenerbahce would get an important win with only difference that Istanbul giants might not found that clear result. It has been very important for Arda Guler to get 2 goals to get back his morale and prove himself why he is being very important player to the side and that he would been potential star both to club. This win would provide important motivation prior to Austria Wien game.

Kasimpasa meanwhile did provide very dissapointing performance and has so far during this season has conceded 10 goals without scoring any and looks to be side which is lacking to control game and especially creating chances. There are some worrying signs of side so far during this season which it needs to solve.

Fenerbahce hence got very important win with such impressive result and this win would provide an important confidence both to Europa League play-off round and upcoming games in the league.

Besiktas has lost 2 points due of Ismael decisions and to some extend referee decisions.

Besiktas has lost 2 points in pretty dramatic game against Besiktas while winning with 3:0 scoreline just before half-time as club blames referee of the game Yasin Koc for the lost of this points.

Foremost, it is important to note that Besiktas has shown an incredible start of the game with creating opportunities straigth away and not letting Alanyaspor to show any reaction with finding 3 goals within 30 minutes. However, all plans which side had been went away as Emrecan Uzunhan 2nd yellow card which led for red card, with first yellow card meanwhile being pretty questionable has went into hand of Alanyaspor. Without doubt, some midfielding changes by Valerien Ismael has also went into hand for Alanyaspor. Meanwhile, as been noted Besiktas has criticised a lot referee with as far as going to call for not him to be called again to referee their game. Even through referee didnt provide very good performance and made some crucial changes, when you are winning with 3:0 scoreline blaming referee in whatever circumstances is being unproductive.

Besiktas without doubt especially with such start to the game did get an unexpected end of the game and now it would be important for them to bounce back in upcoming weeks.

Copenhagen has more experience compare to Trabzonspor in this stage.

Trabzonspor would be starting its Champions League campaign against Copenhagen as it is expected close-by game with both sides providing their best performance to get into group stage.

It needs to be mentioned that even through in quality wise there is not much different differences between sides, and Trabzonspor even has slighly more advantage when looking in the squad. Copenhagen does have much more experience and even through their didnt enter to group stage for 6 years, their always played at qualifying stages and hence could mentally better to control game. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor even through didnt concede goals in duration of 3 games in this season, it would need to provide much more tempo and attacking game as current tempo seen by club could provide issues to them and this should be main focus for them.

It is hard to call favourite hence in this game tie, and side which would be showing more organised and fighting spirit would likely get to the group stage of the tournament.
