Fenerbahce ignored importance of midfield.
Fenerbahce had a poor start to the new season, with getting unexpected draw against Umraniyespor at the game where Umraniyespor has provided pretty strong game in its 1st Super League game and sending strong message to all other clubs.
Even through Umraniyespor has provided strong performance and did deserve this 1 point and been close for win, in other side of the coin Fenerbahce has shown pretty dissapointing performance especially at midfield and defence positions. Even through its been praised Jorge Jesus style of providing an attacking game, forgeting midfielding position will not be acceptable. Our blog for years has stated that midfield is being one of the most important position in Super League and Jesus starting with only 1 midfielder has provided an important lesson and reality check to Jorge Jesus. Therefore,he did have very good start of the season but it is important here for Jesus to get important lesson from this result and change some tactics.
Only positive issue which could be noted is that Fenerbahce has fought for win even when scoring right in the end for equaliser, but it is clear it should not put itself into such position on first place.
Al Ittifak signs Berat Ozdemir for 2,500,000 dollars.
Al Ittifik has signed Berat Ozdemir for 2,500,000 dollars as player did provide confident and strong performance in Trabzonspor title and would now seek to provide some continuation in Arabic nations.
Even through Arabic league is not being any better of Turkish Super League and certainly is not being main aim for players compare to Europe, it would be unfair to see this as going back into career ladder especially taking account that Arabic leagues could be more suitable to get to Europe in future. This would be also be seen as opportunity for Ozdemir to get some experience outside of country and provide some confident performance and get used to be playing outside his country.
Therefore, Berat Ozdemir would be right move in long term as long as he would be able to provide good performance at Al Ittifak.
Basaksehirspor has terminated contract with Peter Zulj
Basaksehirspor has terminated contract with its player Peter Zulj as player didnt provide much performance for the team and hence it did send an unwanted player in sense of tactical game.
Peter Zulj has been transferred with lots of expectations and quplayer being with some good potential but he wasnt able to fulfill them and hence didnt get much playing time and when he did didnt show much top level game which Emre Belozoglu. Therefore, this termination could be highly expected and might be even be surprising why it wasnt done earlier.
Right now, this termination might also open door for Basaksehirspor to look for some other transfers with focus to both Super League and Conference League
