Fenerbahce did look pretty passive against Konyaspor

Fenerbahce has provided least effective performance since start of the season and did look to be out of concentration and willingness during Super League 4th week game against Konyaspor which it lost with 1:0 scoreline.

Despite of the fact that Konyaspor didnt concede so far during this season, there was expectation that Fenerbahce would have lots of opportunities and found goals as it is being most goal-scoring side but it couldnt overpass Konyaspor defence partly, and partly didnt reach into tempo which it shown in previous games. Without doubt, red card from Enner Valencia did have negative impact to the side and did give some advantage to Konyaspor but it needs to be mentioned that Konyaspor did found its winning goal when game been played with 10-on-10. Fenerbahce hence did look to be pretty passive and far from game which Jorge Jesus seeks for.

This game still would provide an important lesson to whole side and let them see some improvement for upcoming games.

Besiktas dominated 1st half and got win.

Besiktas has shown dominating game during 1st half of the game against Sivasspor at home ground which led them found 3 goals which led them to find win.

Besiktas has started game at very high tempo with creating high number of the chances and has found an early goal hence with Jackson Muleka on 12th minute as goal did come from great assist from Wout Weghorst. It needs to be mentioned that both Muleka and Weghorst did become adapted to the side at short notice and would for sure play an important role in this team at upcoming games. Meanwhile, Delle Alli who did come out to the game at short period after being transferred, has shown strong performance and raised promise for rest of the season. Only issue for Besiktas seems to be still not being able to show top level game for 90 minutes, an area which Valerien Ismael need to work on.

Besiktas are being side which are improving and arleady giving signs of being side which would be tough to beat.

Trabzonspor loans Naci Unuvar.

Trabzonspor has loaned Ajax player Naci Unuvar as player has high potential and did show great performance in his team during previous season.

Due of some changes tactically at Ajax, current team didnt consider to use Naci Unuvar for long time in their games and even through has high plans for him, they have decided to loan him. With Trabzonspor showing strong willingness to loan him it needs to be noted that club did make an important addition. Naci Unuvar is having high potential and being player who is hungry for success and for sure he would be showing some impressive performances at Trabzonspor.

Therefore, this transfer would provided needed strength to its squad at the season which it has high aims.

Besiktas has dominated 1st half and got deserved win.

Besiktas has used an advantage of all its title contenders losing their points during this week, as it got comfortable win against Sivasspor with 3:1 scoreline as it has dominated during 1st half without providing any breath to its opponents.

With Galatasaray and Trabzonspor at their game and Fenerbahce losing 3 points earlier on the day, Besiktas has got an opportunity to become  new leaders of the league and it has started game with being aware of getting such an opportunity with showing strong attacking game from 1st minute which did pay back with Besiktas scoring an early goal at 12th minute with Jackson Muleka. In fact, what made such game interesting that goals and assists did come from same players as Weghorst did score 2nd goal in this game and Muleka scoring once again in the of the 1st half. It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas did reduce tempo of the game quite understandigly during 2nd half due of advantage but still being side which controlled whole game and could have managed even more goals. Besiktas hence has continued strong positive performance back-to-back as it did show similar game against Fatih Karagumruk in previous game.

Sivasspor meanwhile continues to be showing poor performance since start of the season and even through it did show some good performance in the end of the game among scoring great goal with Seba but its been too late. Its clear that Sivasspor needs to get into themselves.

Besiktas did get leadership with providing strong pressure towards Sivasspor goal and also creating high number of the chances and provides some positive signs for upcoming games.

Fenerbahce couldnt pass organised Konyaspor defence.

Konyaspor has managed to beat Fenerbahce with 1:0 scoreline with goal of Muhammet Demir, as they continue to be one of the two clubs not to concede any goals with providing effective defensive game.

It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce has provided one of the slowest and ineffective performance during this season, as it has struggled with passing Konyaspor organised defence regardless if game has been played 11-on-11, 10-on-11 and 10-on-10. Therefore, it could be mentioned that Fenerbahce regardless into scenario which been played things didnt go as planned without doubt. It was interesting to see for Fenerbahce which does provide strong attacking game in previous games, did have issue overpassing Konyaspor intense defence which led them not to concede goals so far during this season. It also needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce didnt provide strong understanding among players and there was seen some miscommunication especially in the moment of free-kick between Irfan Can Kahveci and Ferdi Kadioglu. Therefore, things didnt go as planned at Fenerbahce and hence lessons would be needing to learn some lessons for upcoming games.

Konyaspor meanwhile did provide some effective defensive game without letting Fenerbahce to providing performance which it tends to provide with Jorge Jesus. Konyaspor hence does provide strong defensive game and it does look like it would continue conceding low amount of the goals as every club will have trouble to score them.

Fenerbahce provided less effective and creative performance at the attack so far during this season and has been good lesson for upcoming games both to Jesus and whole side. 

Both Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are not at level which would bring them title.

Turkish Super League 4th week between title contenders Trabzonspor and Galatasaray has ended with goalless draw as Galatasaray has been closer to get win against struggled opponent.

It needs to be mentioned that both clubs during 90 minutes were below they level, but when looking which side has been closer for win and hence has deserved more, it would be seen to be Galatasaray. Despite of fact, that side is not playing at tempo which it seeks for yet, it still has been one which did create some creative opportunities and provided some danger to 21-year old goalkeeper Taha who did come out due of injured Ugurcan Cakir. Stating that Galatasaray still needs to improve its performance and provide much more creativity if it wants to become title contender. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor seems to be felt under pressure due of recent poor results and has played not to lose game and seek ways how it get wins despite of all absences on the squad.

Galatasaray as been noted has been better side, but both are not yet at level to fight for title and sides needs to find solutions on how to provide much more effective and stronger game.

Galatasaray has been closer for win compare  to Trabzonspor.

Turkish Super League 4th week game against Trabzonspor and Galatasaray has been ended with goalless draw as both sides has provided for most amount of time to show controllable game due of recent poor performance in the league.

Stating that, it needs to be noted that Galatasaray ddi look to be slighly willing to find chances during whole game and shown much more creative game especially during 2nd half. Therefore, when comparing both sides it could be noted that Galatasaray has been closer for win but still it has been below level which would been expected from them. There were seen still that Dries Mertens and Bafetembi Gomis who did enter to the game in mid of 2nd half has been two players who were willing to find score during game. Galatasaray did manage to raise tempo during 2nd half despite of strong support from Trabzonspor but didnt pass Trabzonspor goalkeeper despite of him not being main goalkeeper due of Ugurcan Cakir injury.

It needs to be noted that Trabzonspor did come out in much pressure despite of fact that it being in same position as Galatasaray in the table, due of losing previous week game against Antalyaspor and not getting to group stage of Champions League, Trabzonspor did come out to the game under pressure and this has been felt at the field a lot without doubt. Trabzonspor still did create some chances but it did look side which were more focussed not to lose game rather then to win, even through with reaction of Abdullah Avci on side it has been mainly players possibly feeling under pressure rather then directives from coach. Goalkeeper of Trabzonspor Muhammed Taha Tepe, who did come out from injured Ugurcan Cakir, did provide strong performance and to some extend has played key role for side not to lose game.

Both sides did play under pressure without doubt which could even more felt at Trabzonspor as Galatasaray looked to be more creative. Still, it does look both sides need to solve some issues of its performance at short notice. 

Fenerbahce are being clear favourites against Konyaspor.

Fenerbahce would be returning to Super League with game against Konyaspor during 4th week game in the game where it would be seen as strong and confident favourite without doubt.

It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce is providing improvement with its performance by each week and until now being most goalscoring side and it would be expected to carry on such high level performance against Konyaspor. Konyaspor on their part continues to be having dissapointing start of the season and still didnt get into level of performance which it has shown during previous season. They would be seeking this game as an opportunity to have new beginning and would fight for win without doubt, but when looking into quality of the side Fenerbahce are being key favourite.

Fenerbahce even through has some defensive issues, it would be expected to continue its high goal-scoring performance against its opponents.

Sivasspor might see Besiktas game as an attempt to stop poor performance.

Besiktas would be coming out to the Sivasspor during Super League 4th week while they opponents continuing to get unwanted results with poor performance.

Sivasspor tends to have poor start of the seasons and after start getting some strong performance and results, and this season hasnt been expectation as it does provide very low level performance. Only risk which Besiktas migth see that Sivasspor which does have capacity at showing effective game, might be doing so against them. Still, Besiktas might not be at the level whcih some supporters would be expected from them, is showing some improvement and willingness to winning game which could play an important role. 

When looking at the form so far this season, Besiktas are being clear favourites for game but Sivasspor has capacity to provide some suprising good performance without doubt.

Trabzonspor will aim to bounce back at game against Galatasaray.

Trabzonspor will be coming to very important for them as it would be meeting with Galatasaray during Super League 4th week game as it would be aiming to end its unsuccessful period of losing to Antalyaspor and being relegated to Copenhagen at Champions League.

Trabzonspor which without doubt did start this season with an aim to defend its title and provide successful season in Europe, is currently going through unwanted difficult period. Without doubt, it would be seeing Galatasaray game as a chance to bounce back from recent results and once again get confidence for upcoming games. It needs to be mentioned that despite of this two recent games, Trabzonspor actually did provide some good and effective performances especially in attack and did look bit better compare to Galatasaray. Trabzonspor if does come out at its best form could be seen as favourite to some extend.

Trabzonspor hence would be seeing this game as good bouncing back and expects to provide performance according to that.

Galatasaray would need to raise performance level to get good result against Trabzonspor

Even through Galatasaray did win 2 games in duration of 3 games during this season, it has only scored 2 goals with both coming from Bafetembi Gomis as he came from substitution.

This factor by itself shows that Galatasaray does have some lacking of performance and attacking game with needing to improve its performance without doubt if it wants to get win against Trabzonspor. Even through Galatasaray does have signs that it would be improving as season would be progressing when looking at quality of the squad, its still not in that level. In similar manner, as for Trabzonspor win in this game would let them gain confidence and motivation, similar case would be without doubt for Galatasaray. But it needs to raise tempo and provide much more effective attacking game if it wants to get positive result against Trabzonspor.

Galatasaray does have quality to get win but it needs to raise performance level to get result which it would be seeking for.

Al Ittihad Kabri loaned Galatasaray player Alexandru Cicaldau

Al Ittihad Kabri has loaned Galatasaray player Alexandru Cicaldau for 1-year as side were looking how to either loan and sell him for this season.

It needs to  be mentioned that Cicaldau did join Galatasaray with high expectations which he did fulfill but loaning him could be good option for him as Cicaldau would be expected to get more key role at his new club and provide some effective game in the Arabic side becoming even more key player. With getting some playing time he might get back some confidence and improve his level and after that Galatasaray might even consider to keep him for upcoming season. However, in here plays role of Cicaldau as he would need to use this opportunity if he wants to stay at Galatasaray.

Fenerbahce continues showing strong attacking game by each game.

Fenerbahce has got into group stages of the Europa League after beating Austria Wien with 6:1 scoreline as it has managed to win 2nd leg at home with 4:1 scoreline and now could be looking positively to group stage.

As been noted in previous blogs, Fenerbahce seems to be providing much more effective and attacking game by each fixture and provides strong attacking game. Therefore, its current form very likely has made Rennes, AEK Larnaca slightly dissapointed to be drawn with side which does provide an effective positive game. Meanwhile, Jorge Jesus after Austria Wien has stated that he would like to meet again against Dynamo Kyiv as he believed that his side wasnt ready to game. UEFA has met with such request from Jesus and without doubt Fenerbahce would be aiming to get revenge from opponents.

Fenerbahce is being side which improves by each game and expects to provide even more effective game during group stage.

Sivasspor needs to improve its performance urgently.

Sivasspor has been relegated to the Conference League after losing to Malmo at Europa League qualifier with 5:1 scoreline and now would be meeting with Cluj, Ballkani and Slavia Prague.

It needs to be mentioned that this group is being in level of Sivasspor if it would be providing its top level performance and it wouldnt be having much chances if it continues such dissapointing form without doubt. Without counting, Ballkani to all respect, this is being group in level of Europa League and hence it would not be an easy one but if it really wants to provide some positive game and get out of the group it would need to improve its performance as soon as it can.

Sivasspor current form without doubt does provide some worries both domestically and for Conference League and needs urgently improve.

Basaksehirspor did get beatable group at Conference League.

Basaksehirspor despite of 1st leg of Maccabi Netanya 2nd qualifying round game, has so far provided performance which is being at least in level of Europa League and hence with with using advantage of being at 1st pot it got beatable group.

With RFS, Fiorentina and Hearts being at the group it needs to be mentioned that only problem which could provide them would be Fiorentina which even through is far from its top level performance is always capable to provide some issues with being an Italian side. Basaksehirspor still needs to carry on its strong effective game which it shows so far during this season and at worst case scenario should be able to get 2nd spot if some things will not be going bad in unexpected manner of course.

Basaksehirspor did get good draw and should be expected to get some good results which would be good also for Turkey.

Fenerbahce got confident win against Austria Wien. 

Fenerbahce has got confident win against Austria Wien during Europa League play-off round 2nd leg game with 4:1 scoreline and with an aggregate of 6:1 scoreline with providing dominant game for whole time.

Fenerbahce continues showing confident attacking game during last weeks with side looking to be confident at the field and its been especially important for side to be finding goals with 4 players, with 3 players being Turkish ones. This game without doubt has once again made team to get closer into attacking game which Jorge Jesus is seeking for. It has been important during this game for Fenerbahce to be making clear that its being much more strong side compare to Austria Wien and it has shown that not only paper but also on the field during whole tie. It has been also important for Ismail Yuksel to find such great goal as it would provide confidence to young player. Fenerbahce hence did get into group stage of the Europa League in confident manner and now would be looking for its opponent during draw. 

Austria Wien did have an issue to get into the game since start and has failed to get into the game in sense of possession and has found a goal due of Fenerbahce switching off after finding 2nd goal. Still its been good experience for Austrian side.

Fenerbahce therefore did get an important win both to get motivated prior to Europa League group stage and also domestically with getting close to an attacking game. 

Sivasspor continues showing dissapointing game as it relegated to Conference League

Sivasspor contunues providing dissapointing performance both domestically and Europe as it losses to Malmo with 2:0 scoreline during 2nd leg of play-off round and has been relegated to Conference League with 5:1 aggregate scoreline.

Sivasspor needed to provide strong attacking game to have chance to turnaround 3:1 loss during 1st leg and it did manage to control ball to some extend in beginning of game but still didnt provide too much pressure towards Malmo. Even through Malmo did provide game where it looked like side did provide an attacking game, Malmo always looked like it has been in control of the game. Malmo to some extend has aimed to provide defending game during 1st leg due of advantage of 1st leg game and it has done that in right manner. It needs to be noted that after conceding 1st goal during 2nd half, Sivasspor lost whole concentration to the game and has allowed Swedish side to get result which it seekded for.

Malmo has provided smart tactical game against Sivasspor with foremost focussed into not conceding and then scoring 2 goals when it got opportunities during 2nd half. Malmo did provide confident performance in 2 legs and has deservedly got into group stage.

Sivasspor continues having poor performance in early stage of the season and it would need to seek to improve such ineffective game if it wants to have good season at Conference League and domestically.

Basaksehirspor dominated against Antwerp and got to group stage.

Basaksehirspor has qualified to Conference League group stage after beating Royal Antwerp with 3:1 scoreline as it provided focussed and organised game at the away game with continuing its top performance in the start of the season.

Trabzonspor got drawless draw against Copenhagen which led for no Turkish club at Champions League since 1995/96 season

Trabzonspor has failed to turn around Champions League play-off round tie against Copenhagen from 2:1 scoreline as it has ended 2nd leg with goa0lless draw and hence meaning that no Turkish club will be competing at Champions League proper since 1995-96 season.

Trabzonspor did start game at positive manner with providing strong attacking game and providing needed pressure to Copenhagen with help of the supporters but when you dont score goal, it didnt help to get upper hand of the tie. With Trabzonspor not finding crucial early goal when it needed it has provided without doubt confidence to Copenhagen which also been used to the atmosphere on the field after some time and has created some opportunities towards end of the 1st half and also during 2nd half. Fenerbahce got leadership with effective attacking game.

Fenerbahce has got into leadership spot at the Turkish Super League after beating Adana Demirspor with 4:2 scoreline and also has passed one of the most difficult games which it would play during this season.

It needs to be mentioned that when coming into attacking game, Fenerbahce continues showing some impressive improvement as for most amount of the time its been provided strong attacking game especially with performance of Enner Valencia who has dominated 1st half and also played key role during 2nd half. Only issue in perspective of Fenerbahce, is that it does have some issues at defensive game when it allowed Adana Demirspor to find 2 goals, even through this period does look to be from tiredness and also opponent rising level of performance. It needs to be also noted that with Enner Valencia scoring 2 goals did show himself to be one of the key attackers of the side as among scoring goals, he continues creating chances and looking for positions. Only issue which could be noted with Fenerbahce is that it did lose position and dominant game after conceding from Belhanda at the penalty position and even got into score, but Adana Demirspor defender Rakitsky needs to be noted did help Fenerbahce with red card which was given to Diego Rossi. Fenerbahce did use once again its advantage of extra men effectively with Alioski scoring his 1st goal for his new club. Trabzonspor has got unexpected 5:2 loss against agressive Antalyaspor

Title holders Trabzonspor has lost its 1st game during this season against Antalyaspor in shocking 5:2 scoreline as Antalyaspor continues to become most difficult opponent in previous season as champions didnt manage to beat them.

Looking at the game neutrally, it could be noted that Galatasaray didnt do much to win game as it provided low tempo game without much organisation in its attack and apart of winning shot from Gomis has wasted lots of the opportunities during whole game. Even through Galatasaray did win its 2nd game in the season, it could be noted that in whole 3 games it did lack needed tempo and creativity. Such low tempo without doubt went into hand of Umraniyespor, who did get also some good opportunities but did lack with finding final shots on the goal. Galatasaray has also made high number of mistakes during passing game which has shown that many players were not focussed to the game. Only player who did looked to be focussed is Bafetembi Gomis. To some extend Gomis deserved to find such crucial goal, but whole team didnt deserve to win game.

Umraniyespor despite of newcomers were able to play in similar tempo with Galatasaray and prevent opponent to get into much chances. If it used its opportunities much better Umraniyespor would be able to get at least draw in this game.

Galatasaray has managed to win game against Umraniyespor but its performance does provide some worrying signs which needs to be worked on by Okan Buruk without doubt.

Fenerbahce got result which it seeked for despite of big rotation.

Fenerbahce got a confident win against Austria Wien in Vienna with 2:0 scoreline with showing full control of the game even through side did go through big rotation, with changing 7 players.

Fenerbahce got an important advantage over Austria Wien.

Fenerbahce has got an important scoreline as it has won with 2:0 scoreline during Europa League play-off round 1st leg game with providing effective performance and even through it didnt create much opportunities, it has prevented Austria Wien to be effective during game.

It has become clear as game has become that Fenerbahce is being much more quality side compare to Austria Wien as it looked to be more organised and has managed to control game in good manner without letting Austria Wien to get at the game. Without doubt an early goal from Fenerbahce which did come from Joshua King who is being on rise in recent weeks has scored an important goal which has calmed to side for rest of the week while red card of the opponent during 2nd half made it even simpler. Another point of the game has been first game of the Alioski who did provide some good performance and provided an important role in the midfielding performance. Fenerbahce did gain high confidence and motivation with this result both in Europe and for upcoming domestic games.

Trabzonspor needs to focus to 1st half rather then 2nd in analysis.

Even through there is seems positive view of the 2:1 loss against Copenhagen during Champions League 1st leg, it needs to be mentioned that this surely hasnt been result side did look at Copenhagen and it would be difficult task to achieve.

Bakasetas goal has kept chances of Trabzonspor to group stage alive.

Trabzonspor players Bakasetas great goal on 79th minute has kept his side chances alive for Champions League group stage ticket as it lost to Copenhagen with 2:1 scoreline at away game. 

Even through it could be noted that Trabzonspor did get good result for 2-leg fixture, it needs to be mentioned that it took for long time to start playing some quality game with side starting showing its usual aggressive game after it has conceded 2nd goal on 47th minute. In other words, Trabzonspor has hardly provided any performance and pressure both at defence and attack against Copenhagen. This could be mainly due of players and whole club still being in stressful condition due of playing its 1st Champions League after long period of time. Luckily, for them Copenhagen didnt use opportunities which it did get during 1st half and as been noted Trabzonspor start showing much more aggressive attacking game starting from 2nd half when it has conceded 2nd goal after 2 minutes game been restarted.
