What happened in Turkish football today? 28/07/2021

Galatasaray didnt provide much fighting spirit against PSV Eindhoven.

PSV Eindhoven has ended Champions League 2nd qualifying round tie against Galatasaray with 7:2 aggregation scoreline as it did win in Istanbul with 2:1 scoreline with showing better game.

Without doubt, its been difficult task for Galatasaray to turn around this tie from losing 1st leg game with 5:1 scoreline so it was mainly focussed if Galatasaray could provide much more strong reaction to thei opponents for 90 minutes which to some extend it has failed to do so as its did look slightly passive during whole game without providing needed pressure to give any signs that it could win game and get needed scoreline to get into next stage in this tie for sure. Without doubt, PSV Eindhoven has been side which did showed whole control of the game from start to an end, controlling tempo of the game in a way which would be suitable for them to get needed outcome. This tie should be seen as good waking up call for them without doubt.

PSV Eindhoven on their part did once again shown positive attacking game as it did but due of outcome in 1st leg did looked to be much more passive game without letting Galatasaray also provide much issues during whole game.

Without doubt Galatasaray did show pretty poor game and now would look ways how to improve its performance for Europa League game against St.Johnstone.

It would be expected for Sivasspor to show much more attacking effective game against Petrocub.

Sivasspor which in recent weeks has been only side to show some good results from European tournaments would be playing against Petrocub at home ground after 1:0 loss from 1st leg.

Sivasspor did come as strong favourites during this tie and now would be accepted to get win against opponent with in fact better performance from 1st leg as their did show bit of passive game in Moldavia without providing much pressure to opponent. Therefore, with Sivasspor getting wanted result from opponent it would be also expected for them to provide strong attacking game with dominance of the game so it would be getting needed motivation for upcoming games without doubt. It would be hence interesting to see how side would improve.

Sivasspor hence not only need to aim for win but get it with strong dominant game without doubt.

Besiktas has made transfer deal with Ghezzal and Rosier.

Galatasaray has announced that it has ended transfer negotiations with Racchid Ghezzal due of player requesting 3.8 million euro and its being last movement to player while Besiktas announced that it made deal with him.

It does look like transfer fight over Ghezzal has been won by Besiktas as club CEO Ahmet Nur Cebi has announced that side did make deal with both him and Valentin Rosier in the end which could be seen that Burak Elmas announcement been seen as excuse for players not to make transfer deal as it raises question why it was decided this decision when it tried to make final deal with Ghezzal. So it does look like Besiktas did make transfer much more acceptable transfer deal towards Ghezzal.

Therefore, Besiktas been shown more willingness to get its player which been loaned to them in the end of the season.
