What happened in Turkish football today? 22/07/2021

Sivasspor provided confident performance against Petrocub.

Sivasspor has got 1:0 win against Petrocub in Kishenev thanks to Caner Osmanpasa goal as it been side which has controlled game and created high amount of opportunities during Conference League 2nd qualifying round 1st leg game.

Sivasspor did come to game against Petrocub as favourite and it showed to be one at the game where it been side which did create high opportunities during 90 minutes and could even scored as it much more opportunities compare to Petrocub but to some extend did have issues with last touches which been an issue for side in previous season. Only negative aspect of this game for Sivasspor has been not converting penalty on last minute of the game from Ahmet Oguz. It also needs to be mentioned that Moira did have very good saves from numerous Sivasspor which led them to stay on this tie during 2nd leg of the game. Still, Sivasspor did show strong attacking game which does provide high hopes for upcoming season as it has high aims.

Petrocub did come out as underdog and differences between sides has become visible as they had trouble to show an attacking game with Moira providing important saves during whole game.

Sivasspor hence got very good outcome in the end of the game but could get much more confident scoreline at the end of the game but still it would not expected for Sivasspor to lose this tie at Sivas.

Galatasaray has shown very poor game against PSV Eindhoven.

Galatasaray has provided very dissappoing performance during Champions League 2nd qualifying round against PSV Eindhoven losing game with 5:1 scoreline and not only getting humiliating result but in overall showing humiliating performance.

There were not high optimism from many people prior to game as Galatasaray were coming with high number of absences to the game such as having hardly any midfielders at the field and also some injuries which were present but even with this taking account such poor performance wasnt highly expected. PSV Eindhoven has dominated game for 90 minutes with providing high tempo to which Galatasaray werent able to respond again as PSV Eindoven for most possession got through defence very easily. Its been specifically surprising to see poor performance of Fernando Muslera who has conceded 3 goals from very simple mistakes which were not expected for him as he showed his worst performance since joining side or even whole career.

Galatasaray didnt show any performance as whole performance and not providing much hope for 2nd leg both with result and performance.

Fatih Karagumruk signs Ahmed Musa

Fatih Karagumruk has transferred Ahmed Musa as for long time there has been lots of interest to transfer player from different clubs in Turkey and eventually he joins Karagumruk.

Fatih Karagumruk possibly didnt make one of the eye-catching transfers but did make one from recent days which been pretty quiet period, as Ahmed Musa did provide some good experience in his previous clubs and does have strong experience which could assist Fatih Karagumruk getting good results in upcoming result. Only issue is for him not being familiar with Super League but this could be solved in upcoming weeks as he gets adapted to the team in pre-season training session. It could be noted that its been late signing but this would provide needed strength to side for sure.

This been good transfer for Fatih Karagumruk as side likely to have high aims in upcoming season for sure.
