What happened in Turkish football today? 02/11/2020

Fenerbahce continues winning period with beating Antalyaspor this time.

Fenerbahce has won Super League 7th week game against Antalyaspor with controlling ball from start to an end creating high number of the chances with Diego Perotti scoring his goal on his 1st game through penalty kick, while Antalyaspor all plans been affected from Adis Jahovic red card.

Even through Fenerbahce had high number of the chances which it didnt convert and also playing with extra men for little bit more than 2nd half, it still needs to state that side continues improvement with creating high amount of opportunities out of which it has hit into posts 3 times in position where opponent goalkeeper couldnt do much to save them. Therefore, this game did show that Fenerbahce is getting much closer to attacking style performance with high amounts where role of wingers did play crucial role as Caner Erkin dominated with high number of crosses towards penalty zone which most of them leading to dangerous opportunities. Another positive factor for Fenerbahce without doubt for Diego Perotti to find winning goal through penalty with both for him wanting to take penalty while his teammates also allowed him. With Perotti expecting to be among key players in attack him finding such goal would provide high level motivation and confidence for upcoming games.

Even through Antalyaspor didnt provide very effective game during 1st half, it did provide some improvement interestingly after red card as it showed good response with Lukas Podolski. With Antalyaspor showing good reaction to game and focus on 2nd half could be seen as plus when taking account it had 10 men.

Fenerbahce continues without loss and getting 3rd win back-to-back and getting leadership with extra game compare to Alanyaspor.

Besikas got important win against closed Yeni Malatyaspor.

Besiktas has got an important win against Yeni Malatyaspor during Super League 7th week thanks to goal from Cyle Larin in the game where opponents has provided anti-football defensive game.

Even through more than half of clubs in Super League for very long time does provide close defensive game, literally setting bus, against top clubs those clubs still didnt find effective ways to overpass such defensive game. In fact, goal which been scored by Cyle Larin does show how such games could bring needed goals as it was scored with showing fast style game with using wingers in effective manner. With Besiktas controlling ball for whole game, it did struggle to overpass anti-football style of Yeni Malatyaspor. In fact, with Yeni Malatyaspor coach Hamza Hamzaoglu tend to play open football it does look like this style been affected by "big name" of Besiktas. Meanwhile, Besiktas will get high number of games which would be played like this so it does need tactically to find solutions against such opponents. Most postive aspect is been performance of Larin and Ghezzal with showing good signs both would be big help for club during this season.

Besiktas did get difficult win but it was important one with getting back-to-back wins for 2 weeks and will be aiming to carry on against Gaziantep.

Kasimpasa has terminated contract with Mehmet Altiparmak

Kasimpasa has terminated contract with its head coach Mehmet Altiparmak due of misunderstanding between clubs hence does make an image of not being suitable for Super League mentally.

This looks to be case due of his lower experience in the Super League, including being sacked following promoting his sides to top league but then being sacked in summer as was case with Hatayspor. It does look there is lack of same targets or understanding how to approach top league as before Hatayspor its been case with Gaziantep on previous season. Therefore, it does give image he is on level to move side from lower league to top. But as been noted this tends to be organising factor, as Kasimpasa did got job so far this season being currently at 6th spot with 11 points.

Meanwhile, Kasimpasa is reported to have negotiations with Fatih Tekke who could be good appointed for side with him being potentially good referee even through he does have limited experience in top league.
