What happened in Turkish football today? 26/11/2020

Sivasspor got very important win against Qarabag

Sivasspor has got very important win against Qarabag during Europa League Group I 4th week game even through it did get behind twice during game but provided full fight until end of the game with this win being 1 point behind 2nd place Maccabi Tel Aviv.

It needs to be noted that Sivasspor did have pretty poor start for the game with conceding goal on 8th minute and couldnt get into game with not being getting tempo which it was needed and to some extend been lucky since Qarabag didnt provide much pressure even it was clear that their were more focussed for the game with showing more organised game as their got ahead once again on 51st minute. Meanwhile, main player which did find 2 goals and in overall did show strong attacking game in overall has been Kone who did show in overall good performance during this season. Despite of starting game not in manner which it seeked for and did have some moments during this game, it did show that it does aim for 2nd round with providing reaction everytime especially finding equaliser within 8 minutes after 2:1 does play important role. Without doubt providing such confident game in 2nd half provided deserved win and keeps chance for them arrive.

Qarabag as been noted above did provide much better performance compare to previous game with finding 2 goals but still couldnt respond Sivasspor which showed comeback and do of situation group been more motivated for sure.

Therefore, it could be stated that Sivasspor does get important hope and to some extend its depends on its next game against Maccabi Tel-Aviv and would be focussing to show strong game at home ground next week.

Trabzonspor expect to win Ankaragucu despite being on poor condition.

Trabzonspor is going to meet with last spot Ankaragucu during Super League 10th week game which would provide opportunity for them to get another win with Abdullah Avci despite team not being fully used to new system.

It needs to be noted that Trabzonspor new head coach Abdullah Avci did join side prior to meeting with clubs which are not in great form while being not in great condition themselves, as it did win against Erzurumspor on previous game despite of showing poor game with only possible sign is not conceding goal. Therefore, with Ankaragucu which does have issues as side which does reflect them negatively with performance, could lead for Trabzonspor to be coming out as strong favourites not as much due of being good condition but due of condition of opponent. Still, Trabzonspor in previous game looked to be in more organised condition on previous games, and this could play crucial role in this game.

Trabzonspor is still on early period but positive result would provide confidence and motivation without doubt if their get it.

Pandemic does affect football clubs very negatively.

Without doubt current Covid19 period with lockdowns does have also its impact to Turkish football clubs which been announced at Turkish Football Forum by Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz and Trabzonspor CEO Ahmet Agaoglu.

During this period all of natural internal profits which clubs get been stopped due of not allowance of supporters to they games, merchandising sales on club shops especially on  matchday  and other gains clubs get during those days. Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz and Trabzonspor CEO Ahmet Agaoglu has announced 90 million euro and 110 million euro losses respectvilly from this period. This of course does impact its transfer periods with also foreign players not willing to travel both due of lockdown regulations and personnel uncertainties. This page still believes that some demands previously by football clubs and TFF, such as raising quota of supporters and other relexation would be doing bad for nations population health, but looking at it in more empathy it is understandable. Fenerbahce as known used social media calling to provide some investments in return of some material to reduce their gain in this period but all clubs are going through difficult period.

Still, clubs need to remember that health comes first and be patient in this period for sure and find alternatives to have supporters/customer relationship while online as does Fenerbahce.
