Trabzonspor wins 2nd week without conceding. 

Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci continues with winning game with same scoreline 1:0 with this time beating last place Ankaragucu thanks to the great goal from Baker from freekick, still gaining important confidence which it is lacking.

Without undermining success of Abdullah Avci which includes improving defence game of the side as it didnt concede goal, it needs to be admitted that side did play against opponents which were not in good form with having issues in the attack where at least draw would be achieved. Therefore, this two wins is not really into showing good performance but very important points which are not gained with performance but need to win since team is getting used to new system. Sivasspor got very important win against Qarabag

Sivasspor has got very important win against Qarabag during Europa League Group I 4th week game even through it did get behind twice during game but provided full fight until end of the game with this win being 1 point behind 2nd place Maccabi Tel Aviv.

It needs to be noted that Sivasspor did have pretty poor start for the game with conceding goal on 8th minute and couldnt get into game with not being getting tempo which it was needed and to some extend been lucky since Qarabag didnt provide much pressure even it was clear that their were more focussed for the game with showing more organised game as their got ahead once again on 51st minute. Meanwhile, main player which did find 2 goals and in overall did show strong attacking game in overall has been Kone who did show in overall good performance during this season. Despite of starting game not in manner which it seeked for and did have some moments during this game, it did show that it does aim for 2nd round with providing reaction everytime especially finding equaliser within 8 minutes after 2:1 does play important role. Without doubt providing such confident game in 2nd half provided deserved win and keeps chance for them arrive.

 Manchester United showed good reaction to previous game

Manchester United after losing in Istanbul on previous week, has been expected to show some strong reaction against Basaksehirspor at Champions League 4th week and it did just that with winning game confident scoreline 4:1.

Basaksehirspor on they part provided very similar performance to which their did so far in this tournament showing its best football without showing signs of scare to its opponent from which help it did provide some positive view so far in tournament even if its underdog. Fenerbahce did provide great game against Sivas Belediyespor.

Fenerbahce has started its Turkish Cup at highest note beating 3rd division side Sivas Belediyespor with 4:0 scoreline dominating for most amount of game with Mame Thiam finding 2 goals.

 Basaksehirspor been same from last game but Manchester United improved.

As has been expected, Manchester United did provide much more agressive game at its home ground following loss to Basaksehirspor in Istanbul with showing much more attacking game with scoring more goals.

However, it needs to be noted that when looking in overall performance of both sides, it could be noted that Basaksehirspor did provide once again strong forward focussing game with creating some opportunities but last touches did play important role here even through Deniz Turuc goal needs to be precision it was given. Only issue from Basaksehirspor is starting to show some better game after 3:0 with Manchester United thanks to scoreline did provide some relaxation but still controlled game finding 4th goal. Still, when coming to scorewise it would been dissapointing result but as been noted not much been expected from Turkish side from beginning, hence at least providing some good game would make side see this as strong experience with heads up, especially taking account it did beat them on previous game. With PSG winning meanwhile RB Leipzig on parallel game keeps chances alive for last 2 games which at least would provide confidence and motivation to them.

If Basaksehirspor did provide its best game as it did in Istanbul, Manchester United looked to be much more focussed to final result reducing mistakes from previous games and used quality factors to stay as leaders at group.

Basaksehirspor didnt get result it seeked for sure especially with last week win but it can leave game with heads up taking account its capacity between both sides.

Fenerbahce gets confident win without some of its key play against Sivas Belediyespor.

Fenerbahce gets confident win against 3rd division side Sivas Belediyespor with 4:0 scoreline with finding goals following openning goal from Thiam on 41st minute with providing patient but same time attacking game.

Fenerbahce with its openning game at this season Turkish Cup 4th round game with mainly younger players and some players which does need some playing time on the field which included like Mert Hakan Yandas, Thiam and Samatta with being one of the most expeirenced players on the side did provide hence reaction according to this.  Galatasaray lost point despite of dominance during game.

Galatasaray did lose 2 points against Kayserispor during Super League 9th week without coming out with some key players and creating high number of opportunities but didnt win even through many things went on their way.

Foremost, it is crucial to note that Galatasaray did come out with winning game with creating high number of opportunities during 1st half but couldnt overpass Silviu Lung who is being one of the best goalkeepers in this season with creating high amount of the chances with some of them could be categorised as 100% opportunities but he has been showing strong strance putting wall into his goal where Galatasaray did have some opportunities while Kayserispor failed to control game. With Lung getting injured in the end of the first half and with their players also getting penalty and Kayserispor getting red card did look things would go easier with finding penalty goal from penalty. But quite opposite Galatasaray show relaxation and allowed to opponent to find even more goals and getting even more confident after scoring goal. Therefore, at the game where things should been go easier for Galatasaray it went even more difficult. It is true that Galatasaray didnt play with best squads due of Covid19 and injuries however it could get easier win.

Kayserispor meanwhile did provide poor 1st half and should be thankful to Lung with his saves but it provide some crucial changes in half-time and provided much more brave game with getting red card getting important point.

Abdullah Avci has won his 1st game as being head coach of Erzurumspor during Super League 9th week with 1:0 scoreline thanks to Caleb Ekuban goal, but it needs to be noted that performance-wise it did provide pretty poor game.

Looking at the game with fairness and neutral way, it needs to be noted that Erzurumspor has been side which did lose game as it provided much more stronger attacking game but due of last touches and good defence of Trabzonspor didnt find goal which it looked for. From this note, it could be stated that Trabzonspor which did concede goals in each game did improve its defence which been its main issue especially after being on its own half after Ekuban goal. Therefore, despite of good defence it would be clear that fans and coach apart of 3 points, will not be satisfied with this 3 points which it did get in the end of the game. Therefore, Avci would need to provide main focus into improving its game both in sense of confidence and performance wise, since of all respect to Erzurumspor is side which has issues with finding goals during this season.

Therefore, this game made it clear that it has some issues with performance which shows that Avci has lots of work to do in upcoming days to make competitive side.

Basaksehirspor needs to show confident game again. 

Basaksehirspor would be aiming without doubt provide 2nd surprising result to Manchester United, but this time it would be much harder as it plays away and United would learn mistakes from 1st week.

Even through it would come to  United with last game win, it would be underdog due of status and history of the side as Manchester would be aiming for sure not to repeat same mistakes especially at defence. Trabzonspor got win with Abdullah Avci but didnt show great performance.

Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci has won his 1st game as club's head coach with beating Erzurumspor with 1:0 scoreline thanks to goal from Caleb Ekuban but it is difficult to state that his side did provide very good performance.

It needs to be noted that Trabzonspor has been side which did side game in pretty good form with creating high amount of the chances and did found winning goal from Ekuban goal but their opponents did provide strong performance after that goal controlling whole game during 2nd half. It needs to be noted that this could be mainly for Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avci known focus towards into defending which could be difficult condition for side which not used to this new system and quite opposite did provide confidence towards Erzurumspor. Therefore, Trabzonspor still has issues with showing 90 minutes during this time only showing for 20 minutes but this could be due of lack of failure to understand style of game which been expected from Abdullah Avci and does need time. Therefore, for sure Trabzonspor should be seen itself to be very lucky and rather seeing this as good win need to identify mistakes it done and improve as side.

It needs to be noted that in overall, Besiktas didnt show great performance for 90 minutes in previous moments and this should be worked upon at in this week for sure. Basaksehirspor on other hand did show improvement of game as it was progressing but getting behind 3:0 against Besiktas without strong squad is not acceptable for title holders.

Even through it did almost lose 2 points in last 10 minutes, this win from Besiktas needs to be praised taking account difficulties which it had prior to game.

Fenerbahce got confidence back with Genclerbirligi win.

Fenerbahce which did enter to national team break with unexpected result from Konyaspor, did return to Super League with 5:1 scoreline against away game against Genclerbirligi, showing strength in attacking game.

Even through it could be argued that Fenerbahce did provide too much dominance with controlling ball, it still got 4 great goals and penalties, where Diego Perotti and Mert Hakan Yandas did provide great performance. Both players did start for 1st time during this season and hence sending strong message to coach Erol Bulut of their intentions to be regular starting 11 and very likely got that spot for Besiktas derby game. Without doubt, Fenerbahce attacking attitude and poor performance of Genclerbirligi would provide important motivation and confidence to the side for upcoming games which surely would have high level positive aspects but as been noted there are areas like in defence where side needs to work on to become ideal team.

Besiktas showed one of the best games but still could lose points.

Besiktas showed one of the best performance against Basaksehirspor during Super League 9th week game especially during 1st half but still showed some lack of focus and concentration towards end of game as Basaksehirspor tried to get historical comeback.

Still, it was important to get such crucial win against Basaksehirspor with 3:2 scoreline, dominating more or less during 1st half and this taking account that it did come out to the game without high number of its main players due of having Covid19, some with injuries and Ersin Destanoglu been banned for 2 weeks. Without doubt, Besiktas head coach Sergen Yalcin did manage to explain importance of such game providing with crucial motivational and confidance talks towards players as players provided high focus both into defence but especially with attack. Still, Besiktas as it did in previous games did have some issues in defensive during last 20 minutes especially after opponent got with 10 men. Basaksehirspor has opportunity against highly-absent Besiktas.

Turkey been relegated due of not taking tournament seriously.

Turkish National Team has been relegated to League C at Nations League after what could be seen in overall poor performance at group stage but especially during last week game against Hungary where win could promote to elite league.

Following very good performance during Euro 2020 qualifiers where it didnt lose to France, there was high expectations from this site but it didnt provide strong performance at all without dominating game for 90 minutes but did so in some games during 2nd half, most notably against Russia in away game. One of the main reason which been mentioned several times has been taken this tournament not to serious while all its opponent did do that which includes Russia for sure even through it didnt end tournament in way it wanted. Playing against site which focus is much more serious without doubt did affect its performance. Meanwhile, in tragic manner it needs to reminded that Turkey also relegated to lower league in previous tournament but due some changes in tournament been kept in this league. Sadly, it does look like Turkey is currently being on level of League C.

Not taking this tournament serious let them to be eliminated, and even through some might thing this is not importanit it did damage to side prestige and morale.

With all fairness with arleady having serious issues with goalkeepers during this season, it has become even more serious with both of main alternative has become injured which would likely mean for goalkeeping position to be taken with academy player who doesnt have much experience in this level while playing title holders Basaksehirspor who are great form right now and with many players having Covid19 does provide serious issue for Sergen Yalcin to come up with perfect starting 11 at all. Therefore, injuries and Covid19 cases is being serious issue with infected number could possibly rise prior to matchday test results which would provide much issue to make perfect squad and strong substition.

Besiktas are being among highly affected from Covid19 and with some injuries it would be pretty far from ideal squad against Basaksehirspor.

It still would be fault of clubs and players into deciding season outcome, not Covid19

Behaviour of players in social life obviously is hard to control, but clubs could provide needed information into how their could protect themselves from virus to minumum and how they should act. Lack of this would naturally raise number of cases in club among carelessness from club.

Hence, it does look that Covid19 would not decide winner of this season but how clubs and players are acting to prevent getting it.
