What happened in Turkish football today? 27/03/2019

Turkish National Team has provided some positive view after 1st Euro 2020 qualifiers games.

Turkish National Team has started its Euro 2020 qualifiers at high note with beating Albania and Moldova at both games finding 8 goals and not conceding any goals and despite of pretty weak opponents, it has shown as side huge improvement compare to previous periods.

One of the advantages of starting qualification campaign with, to all respect towards them, weaker opponents is an opportunity to get high motivation prior to crucial games and also set its aims into more clearer manner. Without doubt this two wins by itself will not be enough to get to Euro 2020 but it would allow to go to France and Iceland in much more higher mood and confidence. More importantly Turkey will not be looking behind of losing crucial points against those kind of opponents. Apart of winning those two games, Turkey has provided similar performance which was seen from Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes best performance especially during last season Champions League. As been mentioned at the blog entry yesterday, Turkey would still come out against France as underdog quite naturally but those games has shown that Turkey can fight for point at home ground on June or at least provide good performance.

As been mentioned, maybe this wins will not provide Euro 2020 qualification but it has provided positive motivation and from spectators strong belief for future of this side.

Besiktas are interested to transfer Altinordu player Erce Kardesler.

It became clear that Besiktas are having strong interest with Altinordu young goalkeeper Erce Kardesler as it aims to solve one of its weakest areas right now goalkeeper during summer transfer window.

With Tolga Zengin not being at squad and with his recent behaviour which provides some worrying image at the team and also unstable performance of Lorius Karius, goalkeeper position without doubt has become one of the main areas of transfer business for Besiktas during summer. With Erce Kardesler being among young developments of Turkish football factory, Altinordu, with having strong potential it should be seen quite natural that Besiktas are having such a strong interest towards player for sure. With Altinordu aiming to make also deal to make sure that it would get share for next transfer would lead side to looking forward for such a transfer. Once again, as it been stated at our blog in recent posts, this are only rumours and hence we would keep an eye on this development.

Stating that, if Erce Kardesler does move to Besiktas it would be an important move for him and for his career without doubt.

Fiorentina has offered 15 million euro for Eljif Elmas.

It became clear that Fiorentina are having an interest to transfer Fenerbahce player Eljif Elmas with also offering for player 15 million euro but his club are not interested to sell for that price.

Elmas has been among players which European clubs has been taken an eye as he arleady shows great performance and is seen as one of the most potential stars of football in the future. Without doubt during recent period Eljif Elmas has been among biggest investments of Fenerbahce as club and it does have strong aims for him and for sure, with taking account economical issue at the team, would consider to sell him to highest bidder for sure. It would be expected that more clubs would carry on showing an interest towards player during summer transfer window for sure. It is rumoured that Fenerbahce would consider to sell player not less than 20 million euro and time would show if Fiorentina would raise this offer.

Meanwhile, it is also reported that Lazio are having interest with Eljif Elmas and more to come for sure until and during summer transfer window very likely.
