What happened in Turkish football today? 19/03/2019

Besiktas needs to pay all salaries to its players until 31st March.

It has become clear that Besiktas did provide payment of 60,000 euro towards its player Jeremain Lens and has temporary solved crises regarding of not providing payment, but this is only section of unpaid salary to him.

As it is known, Besiktas needs to find ways to provide all payments or convince them to sign paper stating that club doesnt own to them until 31st March or UEFA could provide very strong fines and bans including not attending European competitions during next season. As it is know, Besiktas which also finds itself at economical crises at clubs and having contracts with its foreign players for high amount has led them, namely Lens, Lorius Karius and Gary Medel to complain to FIFA, to which association has provided them to provide those payments until 31st March. It does look like Besiktas could have some issues at finding this amount of cash unless it would figure out way to get them from outside source. Another alternative is to convince them to sign paper stating that club doesnt own them before paying but it could be dangerous issue as players seem to be really unhappy rightfully and hence could refuse to sign that document.

Besiktas has less than 2 weeks to solve this important issue and does need to find cash as soon as possible if it doesnt want to get into serious crises within club and also with FIFA.

Roberto Soldado has agreed for 1+1 year extension with reduction of salary.

It became clear that Fenerbahce has made a deal with its player Roberto Soldado at extenting contract to 1+1 years at the end of the season at which player has also agreed to reduce his salary from 3.5 million euro to 1.5 million euro.

Soldado despite of situation at the club and also not recieving much playing time during 1st half of the season has decided to stay at the team during mid-season transfer window despite of recieving high amount of transfer offers. With providing some loyalty to the club, it would be expected that sides would make a deal regarding of extension of contract without much problems between sides as player has agreed to get reduction of salary of 2 million euro. It also needs to be stated Soldado carries on providing uprising with his performance taking very important role at attack especially with finding an important goal against Sivasspor which provided most motivational role for comeback of the game. Fenerbahce does need Soldado which is concentrated to last 8 teams as club aims to secure their place at Super League at the end of the season.

Roberto Soldado does feel happy at team despite of bad season whole team has and hence its important to use him in maximum way in this and upcoming seasons.

Genoa are interested to transfer Sinan Gumus.

With Galatasaray player Sinan Gumus future at his current team are getting less and less, it has become clear that Genoa are interested to transfer player with Gumus himself wanting to join Italian side.

It is known that with Sinan Gumus not making deal according to extension of contract, he has set his mind to leave team during summer transfer window with starting recieving some transfer offers on this days. It is reported that Genoa are showing strong interest towards player and the deal could be made official in early days of summer transfer window. Stating that of course there is long time until that period and some deal could be made for player to stay at the team and also other clubs providing better offers for Sinan Gumus. In last stage of negotiations with Galatasaray it is known that player has requested 3 year contract while Galatasaray has offered 1+1 year contract which raised issues between sides. However, chances of him leaving team during summer are very high with Genoa right now seeming to most likely option for him for sure.

As always our blog and social accounts would follow transfer developments as it looks to be discussed pretty actively in upcoming months at Turkish football.
