Besiktas has got good win but it had some issues with converting chances.
Despite of providing very attacking game and dominating for most amount of the time, Besiktas had pretty difficult game against Konyaspor during Super League 25th week which it has won with 3:2 scoreline thanks to the last minute goal by Shinji Kagawa.
Without doubt the situation which is taking place between Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes with his appointment as Turkish National Team head coach has also affected to the atmosphere of the game as he has recieved some protests during start of the game, when goal has gone into 2:2 scoreline and also after the game from fans. But it needs to be noted that Besiktas has provided strong attacking game but did have an issue at converting chances and did provide strong team as it has looking for them. One of the issues which Besiktas needs to focus at is to aim to convert chances during game as it could easily end game with 2:2 scoreline if it wasnt for Shinji Kagawa to goal. One of the possible factors for Besiktas has been to provide high tempo against side which tends to provide good defensive game in recent weeks. It needs to be noted that Shinji Kagawa goal after mistake from Konyaspor player has played an important role not only for keeping itself at the title race but also reduce stress reaction towards players and Senol Gunes. Of course this result has also played an important role at playing home and also more crucial the issue for Besiktas not showing same performance at 2nd half compare to 1st half as it has almost lost 2 points from goal conceded at 2nd half.
Konyaspor meanwhile did provide good fighting spirit to keep its chance to end league at top 4 and has managed to keep themsleves inside the game and had right motivational boost. Stating that Konyaspor did concede 3 goals and didnt provide a very good defensive game which it provided since Aykut Kocaman has joined team.
Even through Besiktas has shown good performance but this scoreline and also at the time when winning goal has come, it does show some issues both with performance and also crises which is taking place with Senol Gunes carries on at the team for sure.
Basaksehirspor title depends entirely into their performance.
Basaksehirspor has made an important step for league title as it has got win against Fenerbahce during Super League and has raised point difference with Galatasaray to 11 points with an extra game and has got high motivation and confidence.
It is important to note here that Basaksehirspor has provided a usual patient and organising game with controlling game for 90 minutes and even if it didnt look to be as effective during 2nd half as in 1st half this was within plan and could have worked perfectly if it didnt concede goal from very simple Attamah goal. Basaksehirspor is tactically systematic side which decides itself when to raise tempo or able to provide ball to the opponent and this factor would play an important aspect for rest of the season. With 9 games left and to have an advantage of 11 points, or 8 points if Galatasaray beats Antalyaspor tomorrow, is very strong one to the extend that it might even meet with Galatasaray on 33rd week already claiming league title. It is hard to beat Basaksehirspor at the league by anyone due of its great tactical game and hence this provides an important motivation for the side as long as it shows similar performance.
Basaksehirspor has went through important barrier with such a win against Fenerbahce and are ones to lose league title right now for sure as key is to stay focussed as their been so far this season.
Fenerbahce are in risk to be relegated is becoming strong possibility.
Even through Fenerbahce did come out as underdog against Basaksehirspor due of current positions and performance of both sides, it still needs to state that Fenerbahce carries on showing dissapointing performance and dangerous signs are coming out to have unwanted end of season.
During most part of the season, Fenerbahce is being around relegation zone with some points behind at that point and with 9 games left at the season it still needs to win at least 4 games to stay at the league and it is worrying that it might not achieve that. Most importantly it has conceded a very simple goal in the 1st half from very simple timing mistake from Volkan Demirel and also defence mistakes from defenders at 2nd half. Fenerbahce carries on making and showing poor performances both at defence and attack and this by itself shows how serious situation at team is.It does look that Fenerbahce has improved during 2nd half with creating very good chances from Miha Zajc but it needs to be admitted that Basaksehirspor has allowed them. Noone would quarentee that Fenerbahce would stay at the league right now even if its among big clubs in Turkish football and hence it needs to act on this as their are games are pretty difficult right now as their are playing most of the games against their direct opponents for rest of the season.
Fenerbahce needs to get points or otherwise their would see what it would never have expected at the end of the season.
