What happened in Turkish football today? 29/05/2018
Turkish National Team has shown game against Iran which provides potential for future.
Turkish National Team has started this 3-game international friendly game with 2:1 win against Iranian National Team and has shown some promising and positive performance during game especially at the start of the both halves.
Taking account that Turkey has played its friendly game against team which would be taking place at the World Cup in Russia this summer it was important to get a win to raise motivation and confidence of the younger players even through Iran are below level of performance to them. It has started game in pretty good attacking mode during game with creating high number of the chances and has prevented Iran to get high number of opportunities as the game progressed. Cenk Tosun has shown once again why he is being leading player of the team and also why he is showing great performance in Premier League with finding great goals during game. It still needs to be mentioned however that Turkish National Team did show some parts of getting tired during game and this has allowed Iran to create some chances. This tiredness could be seen due of lack of motivation and also tiredness from season but still this factor needs to be solved and national team needs to focus to provide high level performance for longer period against Tunisia and Russia.
Still it was important to get a win against Iran and provide some motivation and confidence as Mircea Lucescu with his own words aims to create team which would hate to lose games.
Bursaspor has signed Samet Aybaba for 3 years.
Bursaspor has signed head coach Samet Aybaba to the club for 3 years as club's CEO Ali Ay following winning CEO election last weekend has promised that their would make deal with Turkish head coach.
Samet Aybaba is one among most experienced coaches among Super League teams who has also experienced career with Besiktas beforehand but has mainly spend his career among mediocre teams. He did show good performance during last season at Sivasspor with aiming to show high-level performance during his period and hence has ended season with top 10 position. Therefore, it could be stated that as coach is in good condition to move Bursaspor ahead as it aims to improve its performances from last 2 seasons when it almost has been relegated from Super League. With Ali Ay, despite of being reelected as CEO, did recieve lots of criticism for this performance of team would aim to solve this issue especially as he got 2nd chance with being elected. It was also important to solve this issue before June and now team can focus with summer transfer window to create team which would aim for high spots.
It does look for now that club has made good deal to appoint Samet Aybaba but of course performance next season would show how he would affect to the team.
Sivasspor has made 1-year agreement with Tamer Tuna.
As Sivasspor ex-coach Samet Aybaba has made deal with Bursaspor, his former side has announced that it has made 1-year deal with Tamer Tuna who would be aiming to continue last season performance of Sivasspor and Goztepe next season.
Goztepe and Sivasspor has been promoted to the Super League this season and have also shown great performance with ending season at top 10 and one of the main role of this has been performance of both coaches. Tamer Tuna who has been appointed after being coach of Senol Gunes at Besiktas has managed to bring similar style of game to Goztepe and taking account of strength did provide good performance. With Sivasspor stating that it has made 1-year deal with Tamer Tuna and contract would be signed in upcoming days does show that it acknowledge Tuna performance and believes team can move forward. It is quite natural that after good season of Sivasspor it would be focussing into coach who can provide successful performance with reasonable price, and Tamer Tuna is great name for that without doubt. It could be stated that appointment of Tuna is great alternative for Samet Aybaba.
Time would show if Tamer Tuna would be able to continue this performance but he does have great experience at Super League at Besiktas and Goztepe and would be aiming to carry on this momentum at Sivasspor for sure.
