Fenerbahce has reduced goal difference with Galatasaray with 7:0 scoreline
Fenerbahce has come out to the game against Karabukspor with having two aims during Super League 33rd week which was firstly to win game and secondly to win with big goal difference to get closer to Galatasaray. It has managed to do both and has made its chances for league title a bit closer for last week games.
It was expected beforehand that Fenerbahce would have not very difficult game as Karabukspor has been relegated from Super League officially weeks ago and has lost concentration and focus which comes from this situation and also economical situation of the team. It would be hard to state that Fenerbahce has shown an attacking dominating game but since it was clear how game would develop Fenerbahce has played at slow tempo and has used their chances to dominate game. Right now Fenerbahce has equalisied goal difference with Galatasaray and has become most goalscoring team which means that if Basaksehirspor loses points and Galatasaray loses, even 1:0 scoreline against Konyaspor would bring league title. It needs to be stated is still hard for Fenerbahce to get league title even with this condition but at least Fenerbahce has made their tasks easier with 7:0 win against Karabukspor.
Coming to Karabukspor, it has been physically and morally ended season long time ago and hence it couldnt get high level performance from them and hence has lost this game with such scoreline. Right now team would focus for return the league after Trabzonspor game.
Fenerbahce has equalised with goal difference and would now give all focus for Konyaspor where it would need to win even if minumum scoreline which is only thing their can do from their point and wait for results from Basaksehirspor and Galatasaray.
Besiktas being out of the title race has affected team's concentration.
With Besiktas losing mathematical chance to get league title, after Galatasaray Yeni Malatyaspor on previous day, it was expected that Besiktas would lose concentration against Osmanlispor during Super League 33rd week game. Even through it has managed to win game, their didnt show best performance.
Besiktas players even through physically wanted to win game without doubt and keep their chances alive for 2nd spot at the Champions League, the team didnt show very good performance as it has lost motivation as awareness of not becoming champions has affected their performance. It might even be argued that Besiktas has managed to win game with will and winning habit their had gained from this season as Osmanlispor which needed at least point to make their situation at the league more stable prior to last week and has provided better performance. In fact, it could be argued that Osmanlispor did show much better organisation compare to Besiktas and didnt manage to get this point due of quality difference between both sides and also stressful situation which club at as it fights to stay at the league. Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes due of not having very strong squad at his hand has introduced Cyle Larin and later Vagner Love at the game but those players didnt show great performance even through Love did manage to score winning goal.
Besiktas would be playing against Sivasspor at the concluding week of the Super League and even through it does aim for 2nd spot, its performance would be affected by Fenerbahce and Basaksehirspor as games expected to start at same time.
Trabzonspor aims to end season at high note.
Interestingly, as it became clear that 5th spot at the league would not bring Europa League qualifying spot for next season, Trabzonspor has improved its performance and has shown very good and attacking game against Bursaspor.
The game itself has been remembered and dominated by Bursaspor player Pablo Batalla playing his last game as he aims to end his career pretty soon and has played his last game at the team which he has marked history including winning league title. Even through Bursaspor has managed to send good farewell game to Batalla with organisational aspects, Trabzonspor had other plans and has shown strong attacking game focussing to end season at 5th spot as it would be meeting with Karabukspor in the last week of the season. Trabzonspor, especially during 1st half, has been focussed to show an attacking football and it has achieved to do so and hence at least aiming to end season at high note and start making plans for next season as always it is looking for high aims and make team which would be fighting for league title. Of course, there is also questions about future of Riza Calimbay at the club as some are unhappy with his performance at the team.
It can be said safe, that Trabzonspor has made it almost certain of its 5th spot as it would be very suprise to see club lose points against Karabukspor indeed.
