What happened in Turkish football today? 02/05/2018
Besiktas chances to come out to Turkish Cup semi-final against Fenerbahce are very low.
According to TFF decision, Turkish Cup semi-final 2nd leg game between Fenerbahce and Besiktas should be resuming on 3rd May from 20:30 from 57th minute but it does look now that Besiktas would keep their word for not coming out to the game.
As would been remembered, following events which took place during Turkish Cup semi-final game between two sides Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has recieved an item to his head which has led him to get 5 stitches and spend overnight at the hospital. As game has been abandoned at 57th minute, TFF has decided to complete game at 2-hour meeting of organisation. At the same day, Besiktas has announced that their would not come out to the game as protest of decision and willing to take all of the fines which their would recieve due of that decision. Besiktas following Super League 31st week against Galatasaray has taken 2-day break and has started training today while Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes is currently located in Bodrum. All of those signs and also statements does show that Besiktas has no intentions at all. Their have also send complaint towards Arbitration Committee against decision to complete game but Committee has accepted TFF decision. Now time would show if players would be present at the Fenerbahce stadium on the evening but all circumstances show chances of this are very low.
Besiktas head coach Senol Gunus and whole club community felt like their been cheated and all those aspects has led everything to turn around in such a manner.
Fenerbahce are ready for Besiktas for Turkish Cup game.
In other hand, Fenerbahce has been preparing for this game in full concentration in professional manner believing and mainly being ready if Besiktas decides to come out to the game with last minute changes.
Fenerbahce has done all of their preparation for the game both among players, statements and also with social media which even in daily posters prior to games has put that game would be resumed tomorrow from 57th minute. It needs to be reminded that whatever Besiktas would do tomorrow evening, Fenerbahce needs to be at the stadium treating issue like their is game or otherwise their would also recieved high fines and also 1-year ban from competition. It needs to be also added that even through Besiktas would not come out all of those intense training session would become useful for the team as it would come out to important game against Bursaspor as it enters to last 3 games at the Super League and in fact if players does get prepared to Besiktas also in manner that it would be playing against them their could be even more prepared for Bursaspor game than in normal circumstances. This decision to end game has moved into advantage of Fenerbahce in many fronts and didnt provide much distraction for their aims in the end of the season compare to Besiktas.
Fenerbahce would be waiting for their opponents and if their would come out their would be physically ready for game and if not their would get to Turkish Cup final. Its really win-win situation in their case.
Kayserispor will not come out to game if date of kick-off will be changed.
Kayserispor has made a statement of disbelief and anger of Super League 32nd week fixture stating that the team is preparing as game against Besiktas would be taking place on 6th May at 16:00 as it has stated in original fixture or otherwise their would not come out to the game if kick-off changes to next day.
TFF in their fixture for this weekend games has stated that both Fenerbahce and Besiktas games would be starting on 6th May 16:00 but team gets relegated from Turkish Cup game would be moving to 7th May to 20:00. With high opportunity for this being Besiktas-Kayserispor due of all circumstances, Kayserispor has stated that it has done all of its preparation for 6th May preparation with hotels to Istanbul, preparation of players and biological clock focussed into them. Hence, their state that change of date would be unfair and effect them negatively in all aspects. This decision and also broadcaster does put into difficult position as idea was due for games not to crush and as it is known there has been strong focus, unless for last weeks game, for not starting games of big 4 teams at the same time. Kayserispor in their sense are right as it is not acceptable for team to change dates especially when its different cities and would spoil each plan. TFF has made another wrong decision which does only raise dangerous circumstances rather than solving an issue.
Kayserispor are right with their complaint and has pretty directly and harshly thrown ball to TFF which would now aim to solve problem or keep as it is and create another scandal for its name.
