Akhisarspor has won its 1st Turkish Cup in history by beating Fenerbahce.
Akhisarspor has managed to win Turkish Cup 2017-18 season in very impressive manner with playing at the tournament final for 1st time in its history and has met with one of the big clubs in Turkey - Fenerbahce showing pretty confident game and has shown great organised game with winning game with 3:2 scoreline.
Among also winning this season Turkish Cup in historical manner, it has also won all of the 3 competitive games against Fenerbahce during this season which made them only side not to lose to them during this season. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce has shown great attacking game during today's game but Akhisarspor without doubt has shown great defensive game and has managed to prevent Fenerbahce to have an effective attacks despite of conceding some chances. When it didnt manage to stop Fenerbahce it has missed 2 goals or its goalkeeper Fatih Ozturk which has provided great performance during the game and hence prevented them to concede high number of the goals. It needs to be stated that forward of the team has also shown great performance with finding 3 goals as Akhisarspor has shown great counter-attacks game. It needs to be also added that Akhisarspor in general have shown great Turkish Cup performance with beating tough teams into the road of final including Galatasaray at the final.
Fenerbahce on other hand its needs to be admitted has been providing forward focussed game with dominating game at possession and also finding good chances. Therefore, the attitute of the Fenerbahce has not been poor today but its problems which it was experiencing serious problems against Akhisarspor as it has lost all of the goals. In addition, Fenerbahce has shown once again poor performance at the defence of the game and hence has conceded in total of the 3 goals. Fenerbahce did provide still good performance at the front but it does have some poor performance at the back. It needs to be stated however that Fenerbahce head coach Aykut Kocaman didnt manage to find once again a chance to find ways to beat their opponents which is without doubt would be task to do by him. Sadly for them Akhisarspor head coach Okan Buruk seems to find how to beat their opponents rather than by job done by Fenerbahce. It could be stated by losing today Fenerbahce has lost cup to Akhisarspor but also crucial 6 points at Super League.
Akhisarspor has done great preparation for game knowing how to beat Fenerbahce and with achieving those aims into reality has managed to win their opponents and have won Turkish Cup in historical and surprising but most importantly in deserved manner.
Basaksehirspor would have tough game against Antalyaspor.
Penultimate week of this exciting Super League season is going to start with Basaksehirspor and Antalyaspor game where Basaksehirspor needs to win game following losing 2 points in last week to Sivasspor and being 3 points league leaders Galatasaray.
Among of losing 2 very important points last week at last moment goals, Basaksehirspor would be also missing number of crucial players which includes Arda Turan who has recieved 10-games ban and Mossoro who has recieved 4 game ban from PFDK. Without doubt those 2 players are very crucial players and this would effect negatively to the game against Antalyaspor. It needs to be stated that even through Antalyaspor are only 1 point to be entirely safe from relegation and very likely to stay at the league it would consider to get this point at least at game tomorrow and would aim to use this opportunity with playing not very strong Basaksehirspor. Even through mathematically
Basaksehirspor has strong chances to win this title, its morale certainly has been affected from last minute goal last week and it would be interesting how team would respond with also among recieving those bans. What was expected to be relatably easy game for them has now turned into hard game where psychology would play an important role.
Basaksehirspor as been stated normally would be seen as favourites for this game but with bans it has recieved from PFDK game has been turned into much more tougher than their would like it to be.
Galatasaray will offer 4 million euro to Kasimpasa player Trezeguet.
With season coming to the end, talks about transfer rumours quite naturally has been talked even more with it being talked about that Galatasaray considers to offer 4 million euro for Kasimpasa player Trezeguet.
Without any doubt one of the best players of this season has been Trezeguet who has shown great performance during whole season and especially during Trabzonspor game last week where he has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist. With being an effective forward player it would not be surprised that Galatasaray would have such strong interest as club's head coach Fatih Terim mainly aims to provide an attacking team and with his style he suits to this type. As most of the players Trezeguet also would be expected to be willing to join big club and being familiar with Super League certainly will not have an adaptation issues. Therefore, if this transfer would take place it would be able to move team forward as long as Trezeguet continues to show similar performance at Galatasaray as he did in Kasimpasa.
As always, time would show if this transfer would take place but it would strengh Galatasaray if he joins them during summer transfer window.
