Besiktas has raised tempo during 2nd half with awareness that it might get 2nd spot at league.
Despite of losing its chances to get league title prior to penultimate week and playing against Osmanlispor who is fighting to stay at the Super League it has managed to win them with 3:2 scoreline despite of showing pretty poor performance during 1st half.
It was big questions how Besiktas would react with losing its chances for league title after Galatasaray has won previous day with 2:0 scoreline against Yeni Malatyaspor and losing hope for them to have happy ending. However, it needs to be noted that team still had chance to end league at 2nd place and fight for 2nd place Champions League even through even that it is difficult aim to achieve. Besiktas has started game pretty poorly without providing an organised game during 1st half however it has improved its performance during 2nd half and has shown much more attacking game and has created much more better effective performance. It is clear that during 2nd half, Besiktas has became aware that it needs to finish season at high spot and aim for 2nd and 3rd place spots at the Super League to either have qualifiers for Champions League or one less qualifying stage for Europa League. Of course, this would be difficult task as both Fenerbahce and Basaksehirspor would be aiming for wins at the last week hoping for league title but as a team its still need to stay focus.
Osmanlispor meanwhile has been aware that it could use an opportunity of Besiktas losing its chance for league title to aim for a win against Besiktas. In such manner, it has managed to find an early goal during game against Serdar Gurler and has continued this performance aiming for a win or at least draw during whole game. Osmanlispor would now come out to game against Akhisarspor at the game which it must win.
Besiktas would complete season with Sivasspor next season and with hoping that both Basaksehirspor and Fenerbahce lose their games and get 2nd place spot for Champions League or at worst end season at 3rd place.
Trabzonspor beats Bursaspor and aims to end season at 5th place.
Trabzonspor has managed to win penultimate game of this season against Bursaspor with 3:1 scoreline and has kept its aim to end season at 5th spot even through it has lost chances to get to Europa League as Akhisarspor has won Turkish Cup.
This game has also been remembered as last game of Bursaspor player Pablo Batalla who has played his last game at the home ground and has been send with strong farewell message from fans and administration of the team. However, Trabzonspor didnt want to make this game as present to Batalla as it has started game in very attacking manner and has managed to find 2 goals within 1st 20 minutes. It does look like the factor that it has lost its chance to compete at Europa League didnt negatively affect players and possibly in other way made them relaxed as their had showed actually good performance compare to previous season. Trabzonspor has continued good performance during 1st half and despite conceding from Moussa Sow towards end of the 1st half has shown good performance which allowed to be more relaxed during 2nd half and has got performance which fans are seeking for. Right now Trabzonspor would focus to last game against relegated Karabukspor and aim to end season at 5th spot and end season at high note even through it didnt fulfill its aims.
Bursaspor meanwhile did come out to the game knowing that it would be staying at the league despite of not having such good performance and would now focus to end season at high note as it would be meeting with relegated Genclerbirligi.
Trabzonspor are among teams which could be referred as without aims but it would play its last games with Karabukspor and would aim to end season at high note at its own stadium in the last week.
Galatasaray are now focussed at Goztepe game with belief that it would get title.
Galatasaray has managed to win at its home ground against Yeni Malatyaspor with 2:0 scoreline duirng penultimate week of this season and are now only with 1 point away winning league title as it would conclude season with surprising side of season Goztepe.
With being aware that it would need 4 points to get league title at this season it has started game very agressively and forward seeking which has led them to find goal on 35th second of the game and later found 2nd goal with Bafetembi Gomis during 12th minute. Teams like Yeni Malatyaspor which as squad cant compete against Galatasaray but have good and strong defence concentration could have have provided number of issues as game would been progressed. Hence, Galatasaray main focus to find 2 goals as soon as possible and after control of the game which their managed to do so. Galatasaray has managed to show not only best performance at its home ground this season but also among top league around Europe, winning 16 games and drawing only 1, which was against Fenerbahce. What made them to wait for last week of the season was mainly its performance during away games which does put some worrying aspects for last week against Goztepe even through its great performance of last weeks and also focus and discipline at last weeks which is their head coach Fatih Terim at last weeks of the seasons does put chance of Galatasaray not getting league title highly unlikely. In addition, Akhisarspor winning Turkish Cup did raise chances for not losing to Goztepe as it aims for Europa League has been ended.
With winning Yeni Malatyaspor full focus of the team is now would be given to get needed result against Goztepe next week and celebrate its 21st league title.
