Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes considers to end his coaching career
There are questions about Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes regarding future of staying at his position after this season and even continue his coaching career as events which took place during Turkish Cup semi-final 2nd leg game has affected his psychology without doubt.
Following Super League 31st week game against Galatasaray, Senol Gunes has refused to provide any post-game announcements just stating that he is not in mood to talk about the game including technical aspects. Performance of the team without doubt has also affected to the game as Senol Gunes didnt manage to control game at all and his changes in tactical manner during game has been surprisingly uneffective. It is reported that Besiktas administration right now is also worried about those developments and are having conversations with Senol Gunes to change his mind and stating that their dont have 2nd plan for coach. Senol Gunes would certainly thing about this issue during this 3 weeks period and would need to relax and talk to other people as making decision too early and being affected from recent outcomes could be wrong one and affect his career.
It would become clear at the end of the season about Gunes future at the team and he would have opportunity to think about even more without focussing too much into emotions.
Fenerbahce has requested for Super Leaguelast 3 weeks to be started at same time.
Fenerbahce has send an offer towards Turkish Football Federation requesting for all games until end of the season between top 4 teams to start at the same day and time to provide equality for title race.
This request from Fenerbahce does make sense as it would also provide an excitement to the league as teams would be playing games focussing into their own games and not making tactics to its opponents results and also would not provide pressure regardless how other teams would be playing. As been stated, following offer has been provided for top 4 teams namely, Galatasaray,
Basaksehirspor, Fenerbahce and Besiktas which are teams fighting for league title as we enter to last 3 weeks. Meanwhile, TFF is unlikely to change 32nd week fixture which it has announced as weekend gets closer and in fact are very likely to make similar fixture for last 2 weeks without Fenerbahce offer to do so, so this statement is unlikely to change TFF plans for last 2 weeks but this willingness from Fenerbahce is in fact very important from them.
Therefore, it would been expected for last 2 weeks for top 4 teams kick-off time to be in same time as fixture for 33rd week would be announced within week time.
Galatasaray would need to solve away game performance to win title.
Galatasaray has entered to last 3 weeks as leaders at the Super League and currently look like closest team for league title as history also shows that their have won all titles in that period but their away form this season does put some questions.
It needs to be remembered that Galatasaray still going to play 2 away games, one against Akhisarspor and last week will play against Goztepe which could be pretty tough away games. It is true that team has got into high motivation for those away games and concentration and those factors does put team into strong opportunity to get wins at the end of the day however it has also shown strong concentration and focus during previous games and still didnt manage to get those wins. Role of head coach Fatih Terim without doubt would play an important role here as he would need to push team forward and get full concentration to the team for the upcoming weeks as it does look like team has away game phobia and lots of work needs to be done to solve those issue. It would be hard games but Galatasaray league title in their hands at least.
Galatasaray would need to solve its away game phobia if it wants to win title at the end of the season and needs to be starting doing so starting from next week game against Akhisarspor.
