Galatasaray are champions of Super League 2017-18 season.
Galatasaray has managed to get 1:0 win against Goztepe during last week of the game and has ended season as champions of the Super League with providing calm and organised game especially after Fatih Terim joined the team.
Even through it could be criticised and provide some information of Galatasaray performance during this season especially with away game performance and also with Igor Tudor but it has shown very great focus during last games with winning its main opponents at home ground. The role of Galatasaray performance during last week games and has been also focussed during that period. It could be stated that team didnt show dominating game today and did put game into risk with 0:0 scoreline but a penalty goal from Bafetembi Gomis who has conceded last penalty kicks and was coming with possible stress of the game has managed to convert game. With cliche statement, you cant criticise too much champions an it would be wrong to do so. At the end of the day, Galatasaray did come out to get at least point and their had managed to do what has been awaiting from them and has got an important win with Gomis goal. Galatasaray without doubt has deserved such a win with taking account also that it didnt have high number of the supporters at the home ground.Galatasaray has managed to stay focussed and has got well-deserved title.
Goztepe it needs to be stated has shown good fighting spirit during the game creating some number of the chances and can be happy with overall performance and could even get different score but this aimless aspect has affected at final touches for them.
Galatasaray as stated has been recieved deserved league title and would now aim to make team ready for Champions League next season.
Fenerbahce has shown great fighting spirit against Konyaspor but it wasnt enough.
Fenerbahce has come out for last game with hoping that Galatasaray would lose points against Goztepe and also Basaksehirspor drawing with Kasimpasa at least. And with Basaksehirspor conceding goals and also Gaalatasaray going an attacking goal and hence has started game with dominating factor.
It was obvious that Fenerbahce has come out to the game focussing into own business with hope that things would turn for them and hence has shown great attacking and going forward towards goals with early goals. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce has shown great character during last week without losing 8 goals and with high number of stressful games prior start of the season has managed to enter with chance to win league title and should be happy to show such a performance. In fact, the protests which was given from Fenerbahce fans during this game has been without understanding as team was winning but with results from Basaksehirspor and Galatasaray it has lost concentration which led them to concede to 2 goals in short period. In fact, it had risk of losing Champions League but has managed to stay focussed for last 15 minutes. Therefore, even through noone remembers 2nd placed team, Fenerbahce has deserved praise for great ending of the season.
Konyaspor meanwhile didnt get too much at the game and didnt show great performance apart of losing concentration from Fenerbahce it did use its chance to show come back including great goal from Fofana.
Fenerbahce has ended season at 2nd place and would be entering to Champions League at 3rd qualifying round and with easier qualification would be aiming to enter to proper tournament after long break.
Basaksehirspor has shown great comeback during game but it wasnt enough.
Basaksehirspor had big scare during last week Super League game against Kasimpasa where from chances for league title it has dropped down to 4th place as Besiktas was winning its own game and hence has shown poor performance but has come from senses.
In fact, it was heavily criticised prior to game that Basaksehirspor might feel stressfull during its last game of the season and it has shown this during today's game but it has managed to show a great comeback from 2:0 to win game and has shown one of the great stories which would be talked a lot unless all focus wasnt given to Galatasaray winning league title at the end of the season. Basaksehirspor despite of that and Fenerbahce winning its game with 3:2 scoreline it has ended season at 3rd place and would start at Europa League at 3rd qualifying round. What was more tragic Basaksehirspor has played its last game where it was fighting for title at almost empty stadium which does show that it doesnt have much supporters at the field. Basaksehirspor had a great season during this season but with being reliable to other teams didnt manage to end season at Champions League spot.
Kasimpasa has shown great spirit during game with starting an attacking game but with not having high aims has started conceding goal. Still it did show good performance especially end of the season and would see as good season.
Basaksehirspor would be expected to carry on high level performance if it wants to compete at Europe for next season and also keep fighting for league title.
