What happened in Turkish football today? 30.05.2016

Turkey has reminded us that it doesnt give up until final whistle.

Turkish National Team has made its slogan for the Euro 2016 as "#BizBittiDemedenBitmez", which translates from Turkish roughly as "#ItsNotOverUntilWeSayItsOver", and the last minute goal from Mehmet Topal against Montenegro made it obviously why this slogan is still case as it was 8 years ago.

Turkish National Team has become one of the most-talked teams during Euro2008 with its last minute goals which allowed them to get needed wins and draws against Switzealand, Czech Republic, Croatia and it almost did in semi-final against Germany. However, in Turkey jokingly football analysts state that this last minute goals should not be in Euro2016 as heart of fans might not get this pressure and could lead to dangerous effects to everyone. As been stated yesterday, Turkey did not play its best football with possible pressure having from being last friendly game before Fatih Terim decides on his final 23-player squad. It is needed to say that high number of players are been decided and starting 11 is almost ready however there is big questions about players who would be in the 2nd plan, such as substitutes.

There are lots of talks about Emre Mor being selected or not as he had provided great performance but there is worry that him being only 18 years old could be downside due of high pressure and excitement at the Euro2016. Fatih Terim will announce final squad before 1st June and we migth get lots of idea what kind of Turkey we would see in Euro2016.

Besiktas player Gokhan Tore wants to move to West Ham United.

West Ham United has carried on its interest towards Besiktas player Gokhan Tore and it became clear according to rumours that Tore wants also to leave Besiktas to Engish side in this summer transfer window.

According to rumour, Tore has stated to Besiktas CEO Fikret Orman that he has better understandement and communication with ex-Besiktas and current West Ham United head coach Slaven Bilic and not with Senol Gunes. It needs to be remembered that after New Year, also due of injuries, Gokhan Tore didnt provide much to the team road to league title. Even if Besiktas would like to keep him at team in sense of making strong team stronger, it will not big loss for them if their sell him to West Ham United.

Slaven Bilic during his period at Besiktas has used Gokhan Tore a lot and hence should be seen normal for him to provide such big interest to his old player.

Genclerbirligi signs Giresunspor player Vedat Muric.

Genclerbirligi are among first teams in the Super League which has made final aggreement at this transfer window, with 1st league Giresunspor player Vedat Muric who is among key players at the 1st league and also provided good performance at the Turkish Cup this season.

During winter transfer window, Fenerbahce was known to have active interest to the Muric but didnt manage to get transfer. Vedat Muric as  a player has a good skills and would be great help for Genclerbirligi for next season and possibly can make team to have less stressful season compare to one which just ended. The mediocre teams, like Genclerbirligi, need to make good transfers with their budget as most teams would have stronger squads next season.

Vedat Muric move to Genclerbirligi is also important move for him as he would be able to perform at the top league.
